As we can see to select the significators is no picnic.

• The eleventh house is for friends, mentors, supporters, sponsors, patrons and the like. I do not think it fits.
• The fifth is for children, sex and other pleasures and for artistic creativity. I know that ”modern” astrologers take it for lovers. I do not.
• Remain the 7th and the 1st for me.

I know the book ”Horary Astrology – Abduction and Murder” by Sue Ward. It is true that she uses the 1st for the victim. As far as I remember she had no relationship to any of the persons in question. So I think we have another case here. (Sorry, Saturnello!)

This is interesting because I was just looking at a chart that was almost the same but a different question.

I do not think she is dead. I see her as Venus in fall in the 5th, a fallen lover. She is definitely very afflicted but the Moon is trining her from the 9th house of far away places. Her derived 8th house is the 2nd house lord, Venus, but both Mars and Jupiter are also there and helping describe the matter (and querent is in the house of the matter). Both she and you are disposited by Mercury, retro and combust. I think it is mainly communication disolvement that is at the heart of the issue. I do think she's also likely upset with you and would be passive aggressive if you did reach out to her. She has likely relocated and is hard to reach. Some things are sometimes better left alone. Chiron is on the ascendant and pursuing this further might add more pain to the matter rather than resolve anything.

Tanit3333, do you refer to Placidus houses? Was this on purpose? Regiomontanus’ houses give different lords to the 2nd and 8th!

Georgius - I was referring to the posted chart but if Regio is showing Mercury lording the 8th, that makes much more sense to me regarding significators. I think it also would point to lack of death though. The 8th lord is far too weak to have power here.

Anyway I still stick on my judgment.
I want just to add that before taking a stand in favor of the 1st house I did as usual the calculation of the 12th part of the ASC, trying to have a deeper understanding of the thoughts of Ninniveh at the moment of casting the chart.
The house where the 12th part of Asc lays (or any planet inside that house) can often give additional indications, usually just a confirmation, of the connection between querent and the matter quesited; one doesn't have to relay only on that information but they are useful anyway.
After reading the post, given the strong emotional moment that moved Ninneveh and forced him to cast the chart I was expecting any indication of interest on the 6th , 7th, 8th , or 12th house, but the 12th part is placed in the 10th at 6° Aqu 5' and there are no planets in that house to give me secondary connections,
I cannot think of anything linking querent and question posed to the 10th house, I may be wrong, or I may have not enough fantasy but this lack of connection to me means that the ASC most likely doesn't belong to the querent.
Again I stress that I will be very happy to be found wrong this time ; I did thousands of horary charts and this for sure would not be the first time and neither the last that I'm proved wrong (I have been let down by my astrological knowledge more times then I like to remember) but for sure this would be the most happier of all them, I'm saying this because, very unfortunately, this chart is very bad and the more I look at it the worse it appears to me, whichever the house given to the missing girl.

Anyway from now on I will just wait for any "fact" coming from Ninniveh that can clarify the outcome and set the matter-

may you just tell me how you can find Venus in the 5th while she is sitting on the cusp of the 6th (the most powerful part of the house) and thus showing not a fallen lover but a very very sick person?

Thank you, Saturnello, I red it again (here‘s the link). But in this case there is a specific role in the question. (“WiIl it be the end of this woman?”) So in my opinion using the 4th house in this way is ok. I do not draw the whole answer out of it, I just answered your question.

Anyway I do not know how you calculated the 12th part of the Asc. Because I see it pointing at the 11th house, not the 10th. See here.
