by john Help! So Man C v Portsmouth is radical because Virgo is rising and Venus is the day ruler of earth! So by my scale this is a type 3. Portsmouth win. Moon opp L1 Anti L1 conjunct South Node L1 combust. I keep wanting to bring Mars into this, although am unclear as to why. If Portsmouth win I'll ponder some more. Mars in Moon sign, moon opp L1. LoH aspects Mars, aspects L7. L7 and Mars in mutual reception by exaltation. Moon and Mars in Mutual reception by Face. Quote Sun Apr 20, 2008 2:55 pm
by john Oh yes, well done Gem on Villa and Ficina on Newcastle. Thank you also Andrew for the comments on the Newcastle chart. I suppose this supports my view that LoH is important to consider but you seem to take the view that it may only be of importance if there is a double testimony for the chart being radical. Do I understand this correctly? Quote Sun Apr 20, 2008 3:01 pm
by Andrew Bevan John: We have radicality by humour. Nice try! I don't know what to call the different combinations and obviously I don't get it right all the time. I just felt the urge to add my experience relating to that area. Really, there is all this stuff written about planetary hours and Lilly always put the question of radicality first. It is surely a question of finding out how to apply the tools. The chart was radical and Villa won. That is alright by my book. The radicality question gives a feel of things. Favourites win at home or are saved from loosing. I am honestly on vacation today. Nice weather, wife and kids. Football lies at a low priority. I will have to come back to questions later, but everyone seems to be doing so well! I hope that doesn't make me boring http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Apr 20, 2008 3:19 pm
by Ficina Newcastle 2 - 0 Sunderland Well done to all of us! I'd have been happier if Sunderland had managed to score one, but never mind. Getting the result right is the main thing. Glad to hear you're enjoying yourself, Andrew, frollicking in the fjords Quote Sun Apr 20, 2008 3:22 pm
by Gem Man City 3- 1 Portsmouth Well done Ficina and thank you for reminding me of it's a different type from the one that Andrew says tends to a draw. That's when hour ruler and Asc ruler are in same trip in the chart John seems to have neatly categorised all the different types but they are still all jumbled and messy in my head As far as yesterday's games are concerned, all the charts were radical, and as the AC were signified by home teams and faves, they were relatively simple and straightforward. 30 by john I'm busy tomorrow morning, so I'll have first go Chelsea v ManU 12.45BST 18Leo33, Moon 12Cap56 I have this as type 2 radical, LOH Mercury; LOH and asc ruler in same sign, so in same triplicity. It has been suggested this tends to a draw. The Everton V Chelsea game last week was a type 2 radical, with the visiting favourites winning. I would suggest the Type 2 moves the victory away from the host, rather than the favourite (following Ficina's observations that there should be a distinction between favourite and ascendant). Chelsea are the ascendant. Is there sufficient testimony for a victory. Asc ruler conj MC, no other dignity. Desc ruler in house of the ascendant. Not convinced these testimonies are enough. Going back to Ficina/Gem comments on the LOH affinity with the descendant, last week I have the Everton/Chelsea game as non radical. This week it is type 2. LOH and desc ruler Saturn are both in earth signs,so triplicity. Maybe again reinforcing the possibility of a draw. Result-draw. Quote Fri Apr 25, 2008 9:26 pm
by Ficina Chelsea/ManU I've also gone for a draw, 1-1. Same reasons as John re radicality and affinity - lots of triplicity sharing. One additional affinity for Desc - hour ruler, Mercury, and Desc ruler, Saturn, are of same nature, cold/dry. Sun (L1) conj MC does rather stand out but I think it's too wide (over 3 degrees), and of course I don't want Chelsea to win! 32 by Andrew Bevan Chelsea - Manchester United Odds: 2,40 3,20 2,90 I want to do some work on a car tomorrow, so I'll be second. Chelsea is the favourite. The chart is radical. LHr and L1 in the same sign gives the favourite the edge in a game that elsewise is evenly matched. Particularly when located in the 10th. POF is conjunct Venus, L10, who is fortunate for the favourite. The MC is in the exaltation degree of the Moon (Cancer=Chelsea). My judgement goes in favour of the blues. http://www.astronor.com Quote Fri Apr 25, 2008 10:28 pm
by Andrew Bevan I want to do some work on a car tomorrow, so I'll be second. Argh!! Ficinia beat me to it on the line! I come third! Oh well, we'll have to count goals later today. Odds are close. If ManU win they win and crown the Premier League, so then there is really no question left as to who will be Champion. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sat Apr 26, 2008 6:26 am
by Ficina A win for ManU would also ruin Chelsea's home record of being unbeaten in 80 league games. Unfortunately I don't see anything in the chart which says ManU will win. In fact if the game kicks off late, it will favour Chelsea. I discounted Venus (L10) conj POF because it's separating, but a minute later it will be applying and also the Sun will move closer to the MC. I was wondering if they may hold a minute's silence before kick off for Frank Lampard's mother, which would be a rather touching irony if it gave Chelsea an (astrological) advantage. 35 by Gem Arrgh, none of you have cheered me up particularly Ficina's last post sounds so convincing..., in fact, everything she said is true.... Quote Sat Apr 26, 2008 9:13 am
by Ficina Chelsea 2 - 1 ManU Game kicked off late, probably by about 3 or 4 minutes. No minute's silence but "delaying tactics" by Chelsea. Did they consult an astrologer? Well done to Andrew for getting it right. Commiserations to Gem Quote Sat Apr 26, 2008 1:55 pm
