It is becoming increasingly apparent that the Sidereal day, and not the Solar day, should be used in calculating these progressions.
The position of the Secondary (or Major if you will) progressed Moon is much more meaningful if calculated using the Sidereal day. As for Tertiary progression, all the planetary positions are much displaced by using the Solar day, to the point the progressions are not meaningful; using the Sidereal day brings Tertiary progressions in line with other indications.
The idea is that what is needed is to correlate the 360 degree rotation of the Earth (the Sidereal day) with the 360 degrees of the Earth's orbit, or the 360 degree motion of the Moon's orbit (which is actually the orbits of the Moon and Earth around their common center of mass). The Solar day represents approximately a 361 degree revolution of the Earth; 361 cannot equal 360.
Note this has nothing to do with whether one is in the so-called Western Sidereal school or uses the Tropical Zodiac.
