Denmark wins Eurovision 2013 with ?Only Teardrops?

Well, there is nothing else to do but that one?s hat off for Denmark and Emmelie de Forest who triumphed with ?Only Teardrops? in the Eurovision final 2013. And it is all about love.

Darn it, there is that exact inconjunct aspect between Venus and Pluto right beneith my nose. How many times haven?t I told clients the inconjunct aspect had difficulty in seeing ?eye to eye?; "Eye for an eye, why tear each other apart? Please tell me why, why do we make it so hard? Look at us now, we only got ourselves to blame. It?s such a shame.? The Moon opposite Neptune, so easy to take to tear. One of the first things I sat grumbling over when the winner was clear, the association between the Moon in Virgo and the world ?Only?. ?Only teardrops? ? the Moon in Virgo opposite Neptune.

Personally, I think that the Norwegian entry ?I feed you my Love? was a better song than ?Only Teardrops?, but this was a competition the Norwegian NRK did not want to win and you could feel television bosses breathing more easily and commentators could cheer the Norwegian entry on a low note as it become obvious that a save margin to the top was in the making. If anything ?I feed you my Love? may have been toned down by the NRK in video presentations and on the night (there are ways of doing this in a very obscure manner), in contrast to Denmark, who really went out and said ?We want this event!?

This clich? made no sense to me in my early meetings with ?Only Tears?, because even if I could get my camel to move fast enough to catch the guiding star, as the song says; there was nothing really there in the first place. But then maybe the point is that many a wish for love has been made upon a shooting star, and without the magic of such a moment - all is lost. That's the way it rolls...

Emmelie de Forest was definitely a Solar entity on this evening. in comparison, the Norwegian Margaret Berger was more like a Lunar counterpart, maybe with the influence of Virgo, Neptune and even Saturn. Margaret did what she was supposed to, yet bleakened in the presence of the Sun. The Danish stage show was terrific with strong Golden colours and an obvious presence of royalty. I had trouble putting together an understanding of the Danish entry; Denmark as a nation is not obvious in the event chart, neither is are the Solar qualities. Yet it worked for Denmark, just as the Sun is naturally exalted in Aries, the sign associated with this nation. So Gold would do well and pass on a message? As Golden Showers poured down over the Eurovision Arena, the use of a similar phrase in Frank Zappa?s ?Bobby Brown? passed threw my mind ? but then I thought this song was mostly about sex and drugs, something ?Only Teardrops? is certainly not.

One thought that did pass my mind, considering Norwegian and Rybak won with ?Fairytale? in 2009, this was so definitely Algol at 26 Taurus ( ?I don?t care if I lose my mind, I?m already cursed? ); if you direct the Sun 4? ahead from this point to 2013, then it is conjunct the fixed stars Pleiades, ?The Weeping Sisters?. So there is a new winner for you: ?Only Teardrops?.

The Danish made a lot of improvements on their entry up to the final night. As I said earlier, I thought their stage show was impressive and Emmelie de Forest handled the occasion with confidence. The flute had in my opinion been a weak point in previous versions, the official video as example, but this had been tightened up and there were no energy leaks as the entry came across from Malm?. Azerbaijan came 2nd. Also this entry displayed an impressive stage show. A guy trapped in a glass vault duplicated and mirrored movements performed by other artists on the stage. Terrific performance. My experience being that the glass vault represented the ?Soul Cages? and the micro-cosmos reflected the images of a world beyond.

Not everyone understood how Ukraine managed to advance to the 3rd place, but this was an accomplishment for the Ukraine production team who, as I mentioned in a previous post, made great improvements to the musical arrangement of ?Gravety?, and made an presentation video that built upon associations with the masterpiece movie ?Avatar?. All in all, the spiritual context present in the Norwegian entry ? I feed you my Love? was expressed in different fashions this evening and bringing nations to the top of the scoreboard. Maybe it?s culture, maybe it?s politics, maybe it?s finances ? but either way, the Eurovision takes us to Copenhagen, so see you all there the same time next year!

I was also disappointed with the results - I simply didn't like the winning song at all.

Dutch newspaper publishes that NOS has made claims that the 2013 winning entry ?Only teardrops? is a copy of K-otic?s 2002 song ?I surrender?. K-otic is a Dutch band. However, a member of K-otic says that while there are some similarities it can hardly be called plagiarism.

Dutch producer and talent show judge Eric van Tijn says, ?Eurovision songs should be new compositions. The [flute] melody is clearly one-on-one, that is undeniable. Still, I think it a storm in a glass of water, because it is only similar in the intro?. Sietse Bakker from the EBU says, ?There is a difference between plagiarism and songs that sound similar. Such claims are made every year. From my experience, the conclusion always is that the songs sound alike, but it?s not plagiarism?.

I was thinking that maybe the solution key to this year's contest, was Mercury.
Mercury disposes the Moon, it's powerfully placed in 7H in Gemini (young) and next aspects Venus (woman). PoF (03Pis10) is also disposed by Jupiter in Gemini.
I don't know if danish singer de Lorette was the youngest girl of the contest, but she surely seemed to be.

I cannot see Denmark signified in the event chart as a nation. Either that what appears in the event chart is a variable, or the nationality is a specific that shows up more evidently in a horary? The first song was presented at 21.13 CEST, at which time the asc was 28SC24 and more appropriately agreed with sunset. That is if we are looking for something something that draws the solar energy to the foreground, but I would be most comfortable in judging the event chart as it stands, defining the moment for when the show starts.

Emmilie de Forest was beautiful and made a great performance. She is born 28.02.1993 and has her Sun 10 Pisces trine Mars in 10 Cancer. Her Moon is in late Taurus, but it could be anywhere from about the 20th degree and up to an exact conjunction with the fixed stars of Pleiades, "The Weeping Sisters". I heard the winning entry being played again on the radio yesterday and it still fails to impress me, but it was well presented and had it's day.

I think that the right way to judge such event charts is to apply the same rules as regarding a soccer match.

We should look if there is a testimony which is likely to move the outcome away from the favorite. If there is none, we expect that the favorite will get it and we do not need to look at the symbolism of the chart. It just won't work.

If there is a testimony showing that the favorite won't get (such as affliction of the lord of hour, the Moon, PoF, its dispositor, etc.) we should look at the symbolism of the chart.

The Moon is particularly important, for it shows the mood of the public. If she is not afflicted and applies to her dispositor or almuten, or the lord of hour or dispositor of POF, in particular with reception, and if the application is not by opposition, it is a clear indication that the favorite will get it and will outweigh whatever is symbolized by the chart. If there are many applications, the application to her dispositor prevails, unless the dispositor or the Moon is afflicted or a negative reception involved, which is an indication that the favorite won't get it.

The Moon is particularly important, for it shows the mood of the public. If she is not afflicted and applies to her dispositor or almuten [...] it is a clear indication that the favorite will get it and will outweigh whatever is symbolized by the chart.

While Margaret Berger an 'I Feed You My Love' is topping Swedish charts and Bonnie Tyler said to Berger she thought she should have won, the Norwegian Broadcasting Company, the NRK, are breathing out and thankful for the fact that they do not have to arrange the Eurovision Song Contest final next year. The reason is that the final is scheduled for May 17. which is Norway's national day and the Norwegian Federal Law is 200 years in 2014, so there is going to be a large celebration and the NRK are already obliged and commited to cover this event. If Norway had won the Eurovision there would have been a conflict of interest and the NRK would not have known which way to turn.

I am interested in what sort of reception the Danish entry is receiving round and about in Europe now after that it has won. The reason being that when Margaret Berger came 2nd in the Norwegian Idol 2004, the winner Kjartan Salvesen experienced one of the greatest flops in the history of the show. My question being whether the Danish entry Only Teardrops for undue reasons appears to fall into the shaddows.
