Gem asked:
What`s `AL7`?? Anti-L7?
:-T Almuten. I couldn't control myself so I put a bet on Egypt advancing through either a straight win or extra play in a combination with Cameroon winning theirrs. Maybe Egypt draw against Angola, but I don't feel like taking the risk. :-?

No testimonies - either a draw or the favourite, wasn't that what we agreed on?

If it's a really strong odds-on fave and there are absolutely no testimonies for the underdog, then the fave should get it. That seems logical. If the odds are closer, then more chance of a draw perhaps, and worth checking out Goca's testimonies for a draw.

I agree the testimonies in the Africa Cup games are thin on the ground.

Egypt/Angola - PoF dispositor Mercury retro and combust, probably too weak a testimony to upset the fave.

Tunisia/Cameroon - are you giving the Asc to Cameroon as fave? Mercury (L1) retro and combust. Antiscion Jupiter (L7) conj IC, cadent and 2 degrees away so probably not close enough to count.

No, Ficina. In the match between Tunisia and Cameroon I am giving Tunisia the asc, the relationship between the Lhr and the radical asc to the favourite, and the des to Cameroon - noting that almuten of the 7th is elevated in the chart. God knows if it will work... 8)

Isn`t Andrew so nice :-T
Mars doesn`t rule the angles but it certainly looks nice there. I`d give Camerron AC. Their sig Mercury is trining the POF. The Moon square POF favours underdogs according to JF. But as teh Moon is VOC, it`s possible the game`ll go to Cameroon?

My money is on Egypt. A simple win here will bless the bank but bring me back to study the details of the chart. :???: Where are all the goals coming from ?
------------------
Egypt beat Angola, but 2-2 fulltime between Tunisa and Cameroon. That could be the VOC Moon. :( Unfortunately nothing much there that gains my confidence for future predicitons. Neptune opposite POF/POS and in a sinister trine through signs of short ascension to the MC. The VOC Moon was also lady of the hour. No, I pull a blank on this one... :-sk

Cameroon take the lead again only 3 minutes into extra play...

Oh dear, sorry it didn't work out, Andrew. Anyway I'll add it to my collection of VOC Moon = draw.

All I can suggest is that 3 planets crossed angles during Egypt game and 4 during Tunisia game. Since it's not the most reliable of methods, I didn't bother to check beforehand and of course it could just be coincidence :P

No bother. I only had to enter Cameroon to advance instead of win. :???: I wonder whether there is any difference in judging three-way contests, ie. win, draw, loose in 90min, compared to a two-way contest, win or loose in 120min. The Tunisia - Cameroon game demanded a winner, even if it came down to the flip of a coin...

You know in ice-hockey matches the draw is included in the bet, although the always moves onto 'sudden death' and penalties after that.

The event chart doesn't say anything about how long the game will last, ie. 'Do Cameroon win in 90 or 120 minutes?' In that sense there is also a difference between a 0-0 game and a match where both teams have 'scored'.

I know we're not too happy about the games that start at the same time, but in today'g 19.45 GMT kick-off's I've gone for a draw between Aberdeen - Dundee U. Even though Uranus on the des does excite me. Mercury, L1+L10, is combust and Jupiter, L7, in fall in the 4th. Both planets are hidden. Mars, who is Lhr, and Mercury, L1, are in the same triplicity, but not the same sign (I was monitoring this for draws). But then between Bristol R. - Cheltenham I have gone for a home win. The reason being that with Asc 15VI I could say that the exaltation degree of L10 was on the Asc., which would put the degree of fall on the Des.

I remember Ficina and Goca talking about the angles, Moon and the sigs in the mutable signs ending in 90mins and the fixed signs indicating extra time or something like that. The signs of long/short ascention on the AC may be relevant. Also the next applying Moon aspects being more thatn 5,6 degs may be a clue.

Ficina
I was thinking about getting Freeview. Didn't know the African matches were available there.

I think this game stands out because it's a cup semi-final. This means it could go to extra time of course. It's being played on neutral ground (in Edinburgh) so who gets the Asc? According to the bookies there is no clear fave. Colourwise Aberdeen wear red (home) and white (away). Dundee wear tangerine (home) and white (away), but who will be wearing what on neutral ground? I'd say Jupiter for red/tangerine and Mercury for white, so the white team get the retro combust Mercury - not looking good for them.

Moon square antiscion PoF favours the underdogs, but this testimony is useless since there isn't a clear fave. Moon is effectively VOC, so I agree it could be a draw at the end of 90 mins.
