by Ficina Birmingham penalty in the 5th minute of stoppage time. Just when I was thinking my 2-1 prediction was safe Seems like that late kick off gave Birmingham the advantage - enough for a draw anyway. I'm wondering whether L4, L10 on angles are less powerful than L1, L7. I'll have to go back and check on that. Quote Sat Feb 23, 2008 3:17 pm
by Andrew Bevan What about Moon dignified in the 4th by face, trine her dispositor, Venus, Ficina? The Moon is lady of the hour and lady of the ascendant. Her position may bear a greater meaning.. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sat Feb 23, 2008 3:38 pm
by Gem I'm wondering whether L4, L10 on angles are less powerful than L1, L7. Most likely (though I haven't looked at the chart yet). I'm wondering about what you said about using the stadium coordinates for NC/ManU chart. With Astrodienst, there's no option but to enter the nearest place name. Can you enter coordinates without place name in your program? What's the AC degs for this chart?? Quote Sat Feb 23, 2008 3:38 pm
by Ficina Andrew, that's an interesting point about the Moon and Venus. Gem, you can edit the coordinates in SolarFire. The Asc is 3,14 Virgo. Quote Sat Feb 23, 2008 4:02 pm
by Andrew Bevan I'm staying off the ManU game because I thought it looked like a draw. I don't mind sticking with placing money on the home wins, as long as they can be sorted out. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sat Feb 23, 2008 5:46 pm
by leeleelee I see Sevilla to win 1-0, goal scored around 10th minute. Quote Sat Feb 23, 2008 7:19 pm
by Andrew Bevan leeleelee.. congratulations with ManU. They made Chopping-wood of Newcastle. I did terrible on my expectations for the Premier League. ManU could not have been ascendant? Or did Mercury conjunct Venus overrule. Should have played the Championship were all my favourites won. Midlands had a good day with Wolves beating Palace and Coventry beating Leicester. In additon to B'hams suprize of the day Still finding football predictions a severe test of the art, but I had a quadruple and triple bet go right on Thursday and Friday - so the counters are still up. Hey, if anyone puts forward a football prediction, would they mind saying why? If somebody is using a crystal ball, I think we should know.. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sat Feb 23, 2008 7:28 pm
by Andrew Bevan A few more words on Arsenal's 2-2 flop. It could be that the Moon who is lady of the hour and the asc in Libra in the 4th and applying to her dispositor is part of the answer. But then maybe it is an effect that could be related to the Moon sign itself. In example Tottenham were defeated 2-3 by Birmingham on Dec.2. with transit Moon in Virgo. Birmingham is ruled by Virgo. A team appears to peforms better, or get lucky, when the Moon transits through it's natural sign. On the other hand its competitive edge is weakened when the moon moves through the opposite sign. I have seen this effect in top atheletes. Now, I have Arsenal listed under Aries or Leo - so yesterday with Moon through Libra is not a good day for Arsenal. As I pointed out, the Midlands teams B'ham, Wolves and Coventry all seem to have done quite well (Libra?) but this could mearly be an illusion. Many favourites appeared to have a hard time yesterday. I think the aftermath is important. Please feel free to comment on both Newcastle-ManU and B'ham-Arsenal. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Feb 24, 2008 8:06 am
by john I've not had chance to look at yesterdays games, I've been following the UEFA cup games over the last two weeks instead. Not quite sure what comments/insights are being made about Seville! The most interesting comment about the Man U game was about the similarity with other charts for the previous night. With uefa cup games there have been several matches starting at different times across europe but all have similar charts. It was interesting to note that games in Moscow late afternoon have the same ascendant as games in Portugal starting late evening. What was similar between these matches was there was no suprise win. rather there was a series of expected wins, or draws. The differences in the charts were subtle, change of planetary hour, a particular aspect had perfected, but no planets had changed house. My query is does a set of circumstances in a chart have to occur to deny a victory, or does something have to occur in order for a victory to occur. Using the default term, what is the default- -no victory unless the chart show that something specific is overcome or exists/does not exist or is it victory will occur unless something specific is overcome or exists/does not exist. (hope that bit above made sense) On the Man U game, what was different about this match compared to the German matches the previous night, for the Friday draws to become a favourite victory? I also believe there is a little match today between spurs v chelsea 9 Leo rises Descendant wins. Saturn desc, , mercury on desc, in MR with saturn and mercury planetary hour. For good measure venus is catching up with mercury and venus and saturn are in each others triplicity. Now for the easy question, who is the ascendant! Going back to previous weeks comments, are Chelsea given the asc as they the holders. Are they given the asc because they are the favourites! What about colours!! Tottenham are white, chelsea are blue. Leo/sun/pisces. Aqu/sat/virgo. Aqu/sat sounds blue and dark blue-chelsea!!! I do hope this is a game that has the contradiction of what takes precedence colour or fav/holder. Might clear something up (but unlikely). Quote Sun Feb 24, 2008 9:14 am
by Andrew Bevan John asks: My query is does a set of circumstances in a chart have to occur to deny a victory, or does something have to occur in order for a victory to occur. Using the default term, what is the default- no victory unless the chart show that something specific is overcome or exists/does not exist or is it victory will occur unless something specific is overcome or exists/does not exist. This is an excellent question. I am asking myself the very same thing, although probably in Norwegian... I have been experimenting with favourites, and thought to myself 'Yeah, this one looks all right - only to experience that the team at the top of the table looses or draws to the team at the very bottom'. How come I didn't pick up the astrology? Why are the testimonies so unclear? Why am I experiencing that predicting the outcome of a football game from the event chart is an art of such imperfection? The obvious answer would be that I do not measure events in the the life of individuals according to these standards, nor is the approach comparable to that of horary. So trying to judge the outfall of a contest from the event chart may not be an entirely fair approach on terms of astrology. This being said I am very interested in understanding how the public sentiment sways in terms of favouritism ahead of any game (the public sentiment being barometer of measure here), and I think it is interesting to see whether the public favourite wins the game or not. When I first started looking into contest charts I was impressed with how the closest aspect to Fortuna seemed to indicate the winner in the European championships in Curling in 9 out of 10 cases. I have not seen this duplicated in any other contests, and actually it is as if POF is dropping a little bit out of our focus at the moment. Thank you, John, for picking up on the research into planetary hours and the question of radicality. Birmingham had the kick-off against Arsenal yesterday. My question would be whether Cancer rising in the hour of the Moon offers the home team some sort of protective quality [Yes, and they chopped down an Arsenal player at the very start of the match, too. Most unfortunate... ] I have also gone with Chelsea today. And in the game between Reading and Villa, I have gone with Villa due to the presence of Jupiter, L10, in the 7th house. The game starts with Asc 11CN26 in the hour of Mars. The triplicity relationship should also be monitored for draws. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Feb 24, 2008 9:46 am
by Ficina I know this is stating the obvious but I think it's important always to bear in mind before judging a chart that the favourite, especially when odds-on, is expected to win, unless there is a strong testimony (or testimonies) to the contrary. In yesterday's Prem matches, 4 out of the 5 odds-on faves won and one drew. In the other game the marginal faves (Fulham) lost. I still think bodily emplacement is a key factor, i.e. a planet conj an angle and preferably within the same degree. I think this is a requirement for an underdog to win or draw, especially against an odds-on fave. As I said earlier, if the planet is L1 or L7 this seems to be more powerful than L4 or L10. Birmingham had Jupiter (L10) conj Desc and result was a draw. There was no such testimony for Newcastle, so the odds-on fave ManU won. Quote Sun Feb 24, 2008 10:19 am
