37 by aglaya Yes, it does( though, I'm a bit slow in puttung it all together,of course). I guess this was a good example for my dignities lesson because, as for the aspects, L1 and L7 are in an applying conjuction and there's this Jupiter collectiong the light (even if it needn't, as Ema would say) yet the answer was a NO! VOC (Burned way) no mutual reception, dignities- zero. And, in this "updated version", we added this Neptune as well. (Now, this is me trying to make things siimple and finding the way to weight yes/no signs in the chart). So, niether the applying aspect or the Collection of light could have guaranteed a yes answer. (tell me if I'm wrong, please) i am getting 20 aquarius rising and moon 15 libra okay sooo Okay let's start from the top You are Sun 10 virgo in 7th house Mercury retrograde? 38 by cosmicdolphin Aglaya here is an explanation to your saturn/sun/venus receptions follow my trend of thought Saturn is you. You are taking 2 classes at a local college. out of 2 classes you like only 1 the other class you dont understand The class you like and feel strong that you can pass if not your concern.. This is VENUS in relation to Saturn your concern is passing the class you dont understand that you do not see in any receptions. That is your Sun. that is all! Make sense? 39 by aglaya Great explanation, thanx! Though, I think it'll take more time for me to start being able defining some of those things alone and understanding this "class" I understand ie knowing what it is. Because, when you start doing horary, you follow the main significators and try to find the answer to the question but then you (or, should I say- I ) get confused but thing such as this one. I remember myself looking at this first chart and being completely confused and destracted byh all those Venus dignities ("what is it that I'm so sure about, what is it that's so strong. or, as you said, what is it that I "understand" so much? and it can lead to a total confusion, of course so, in the end, because of a minor thing, you're back where you started! ) Quote Thu Sep 18, 2008 1:56 pm
40 by aglaya Ok, now, I've got just a few questions concerning reception in general. 1. is the mutual reception by rulership as strong as the reception by signs (example: the cusp of the house of the Querent in Libra and the cusp of the Quesited in Scorpio while Venus is in Aries and Mars is in Taurus!) So, they're both in the signs of each other's rulership! Is such mutual reception as strong as the one when the significators simply exchange signs (which would,in this example, be- Venus in Scorpio/Mars in Libra)? 2. If we find intercepted signs in both significant houses (ex.: relationship horary- L1 and L7) and find their co-rulers in a mutual reception, yet we don't find mutual reception between the rulers of the cusps, is that, by itself, a sign of mutual affection ? 3.and the last one, since I allready mentiond Mars and Venus and these days they were in each others signs- if we do find a mutual reception Venus in Scorpio/Mars in Libra where both Mars and Venus are the main significators, and in each others signs of rulership yet in their own signs of detriment as well- does that mean they're debilitated (because they're their detriments) or does such mutual reception acctually strenghten both of them (keeping each others back)? Ok, those are some things I came accross in a few charts so I'm not giving any examples, those are just some general things that still confuse me, hope someone will help me here!
