There is a consensus emerging about Saturday's 2000gns: Australia as a near favourite pick, and possibly Bookrunner as an e.w. chance.

The following day, Sunday 4th May at 15:50 Newmarket there is the fillies classic: the 1000gns. Perhaps we should start looking at that as well. The Campanus 5th applies quite closely to trine Mercury 22CP45 to 23TA54. Mercury is also Lord of the 1st and the Lort of the Hour is Venus.

My Titania looks interesting at 8/1 as a first thought.

1000 Guineas

I lived in Syros, Greece, many Moons ago. There I lived with a girl named Titania and i used to affectionally call her 'Titania Mou' - 'My Titania' in Greek.

" Titania was a Titan and Queen of the Faeries"

- but that didn't apply to my ex, mind. She had long curly red hair, taught classics at Uni level and once attacked me with a red-hot iron - she was a Leo, her Sun conjoined my Venus (27? if your into that sort of thing), and she was of an extremely feral nature. But lovely with it, in small doses, i'd like to add.

I shall be looking for an alternative in this case.

My attempt at the 1000 Guineas (Sunday)

Class 1 race- radical chart- favourite

LHR Venus angular in 7th. Foreign? Favourite is Irish registered.

LHR Venus - nobility - owner is Sheikh .....

I'm assuming the Horse forum is not adverse to postings backing the favourite
:?

Pick - Rizeena

1000 Guineas

I see My Titania is scratched.

Rizeena provides the benchmark having raced eight times as a 2yo including against colts (at Deauville) when she finished third. I wonder what the name translates as? She is currently favourite at 3/1.

Both luminaries seem to favour Jupiter so I find myself leaning away from the favourite toward Amazing Maria (a grey - Moon trines Saturn), Lucky Kristale or Tapestry (unable to define precisely why the latter).

Yes GB.

Mercury is L1 and L10
LotH: Venus

Sandiva:
5th Cusp trines both the Sun and Mercury in Taurus. I think that Mercury in earth has a sandy quality to it - that's the 'Sand' in the name. The 'Diva' bit comes from the 5th cusp separating by trine from the Sun, a 'Diva' has a huge ego and are normally, but not always, female. My eye is also drawn to Ceres - 5th separating by square - for some reason. I think she has a part in the name of this horse, but i can't quite put my finger on it yet. 'Sandiva' is an ambigram - a word that can be read in two ways - fit's nicely with Gemini 10th.

Bracelet:
The antiscia of Fortuna is at 0?Aqu51' - a tight sextile to the almost inspected Venus (only semi-square to Mercury) - i read that as jewellery (Venus) worn on the hands (Mercury). Venus is also L2 - 29?Libra45'. The 5th cusp's next conjunction is at that point (0?Aqu). Besides, she's gone from 20/1 down to 9/1 - someone somewhere must know something.

I'm also drawn to Princess Noor and Tapestry too, but i need to find out what the other more exotic names mean before i put my lucre down. 8)

.
The nearest that i could find for Rizeena is Rasim - an Arabic word for 'planner or architect' - but this seems it little bit far off.

Or 'Retsina' - a Greek wine.

Might need to get the arabic parts book out :???:

Nathan, at least you gave the winner a mention; why did you originally think of Night of Thunder?
I stood at the 2 furlong pole and failed to notice NoT going down or coming back, so maybe I was affected by the trine from the Sun to Pluto?! Certainly one that got under the radar.

I have been wondering about the 2000 gns result. The chart was not radical and an outsider, Night of Thunder, won, with the favourite second, and Australia (the second favourite) third. So they were in odds order, except that an outsider jumped the queue :)

Can we work-out what happened?

Thunder is traditionally signified by Mars, I think. The Jovian thunderbolt does not seem to feature in the astrological authorities I have checked. Night could be the IC, Saturn? (possibly) or the Moon as the night sect ruler. We might also note the colours: white with a red diagonal band - Moon and Mars.

The favourite who came second was Kingman, carrying colours of green (which I associate with Venus but other thoughts welcome) with a pink diagonal band and white sleeves. King is usually associated with the Sun and Man possibly with Mars.

My initial thoughts are that the winner had elements of Mars and Moon, and possibly the IC or Saturn. The second places favourite had Sun, Venus, Mars and Moon. The Moon more dominant for the winner and the Sun more dominant for the second.

Now, can we find this clearly in the chart?
