by Deb Really and this has what to do with Juno? This is a point I?d like to reiterate to all posters in this thread. The astrological relevance has been missing for far too long now. I don?t mind whether your interest is in politics, sacred geometry, controversy theories, or whatever ? providing the following forum policies are adhered to: Members should post in a way that is respectful of other members. In so doing, members undertake to make their comments freely available to a diverse range of visitors to the site, and so should avoid posting comments that could cause offence or be generally construed as objectionable in content or tone. Expressions of your personal political views and biases may be a relevant part of any post you make concerning mundane astrology and world-events. However, most readers are looking for astrological reasoning, so where it is necessary to express political or social opinions please remember that this is an astrology site and try to restrain your passions to comments that fall into an appropriate astrological context. There has been hardly any reference to astrology in the last 20-25 posts. So please, either pull the discussion back to the astrological angle, or I?ll have no option but to start deleting off-topic posts or closing the thread. Quote Sun Aug 13, 2006 11:52 am
by Monk Thanks Deb, that shut us all up! Ha Ha! Osiris, Isis and Horus, and the role of the minstrel. To all astrologers, the ancient myths and legends may seem child like in nature, many refer to an ancient event that has been embellished adding amusing but untrue details, as with parables in the Bible, they are a simple designed to teach a moral lesson, and you can safely say that the ancients were highly symbolic due to their better understanding of the right hemisphere of the brain. I'm not sure if he is still alive, but till recently, scientists were recording hundreds of tapes from an Irish "Story Teller", who couldnt read or write, but had been chosen while as a child for his memory.......He was the last in an unbroken line that stretched back into the mists of time. There are still a few "Story Tellers", left in small villages, that seem out of touch with the modern world. We would better understand them as minstrels, who sing songs of great events, that took place many thousands of years ago....many of the songs rhyme, so was a memory trigger. Homer was a blind minstrel earning his living probably on the ancient coast of Turkey, in effect teaching history by song to all those who couldnt read or write,.....most of the saga of Helen of Troy and the Trojans is true, although probably "The Trojan Horse" is an embellishment, which is sad for the Greeks, as they have been stuck with the English cliche, "Beware of Greeks bearing gifts". This may lead to looking for grains of truth being found in our myths and legends, although it would be difficult reading "between the lines". It is only my opinion, but the upsurge in interest in the female asteroids, could point to an imbalence in the male and female essences, although it takes time for the female essence to work properly after being suppressed for countless millenniums. Although not astrology, this can be seen in sacred geometry with the ancient female Yoni Goddess, and its connection to the Vesica Piscis, which is at the heart of all sacred geometry. With some of our ancient myths there seems to be a connection that is similiar, in a cyclic way. One of these myths is Osiris, Isis, and Horus. the cycle connections was easily joined when the myths of ancient Egypt got mixed with the Christian faith after Jesus was crucified, and for a while, spread through the Middle East in the first few centuries A.D. The early Christain church headed by Saint Mark found converting Egyptians relatively easy, for one reason, due to the fact it resebled their own myths. Mary and Jesus just overlaid the Isis/Horus myth.....Isis was the goddess mother and Mary was the mother of God. In the early years, astrology incorperated the Osirus/Isis/Horus myth into the Virgo/Leo story. Isis and all female goddesses such as Vesta and Ceres were interwoven and mixed. Even the church got involved, as they tried to stop pagan festivals, like December 25th, they gave in after a while and just transplanted a fictional Jesus birthday on top. In Paris in ancient times there was an ancient temple to Isis, and in latin "Near Isis" is translated to "Par-isis, which over time was shortened to "Paris". There are many connections to our signs of Virgo and Leo. We can further see connections on page 363 of Bernedette Brady's book of fixed stars regarding Regulus: the concept which i quote:- "As one of the Royal Stars of Persia, this is one of the great historical stars of the sky. The persians saw it as the Watcher in the North which was linked to their mythical king Feridun, who once, in their mythology, ruled the entire known world. He was a good and great king whose origins were similar to Zeus he was raised apart from his family, suckled on a sacred cow, and in adulthood claimed the throne via a great battle. He is an image also very much like Osirus in Egyptian mythology, teaching, bringing peace and civilization, and giving laws to his people. In his old age he decided to divide his kingdom among his three sons. The two oldest fell upon and murdered their younger brother in order to take his lands, and this act so grieved Feridun that he took revenge upon his two elder sons. The battle was the end of his kingdom and the end of the golden days of Feridun." I am intensely interested in all our ancient myths, yet the Story Tellers story is very difficult to interpret being fragmented. Please accept my apologies in creating arguement on a site designed to develop astrological insights and spiritual aspirations, it wasnt what i intended, and we now can get back to astrological discussion. 53 by granny_skot In reference to the term Arab, I'm afraid you misunderstand my question, it was a subtle reminder that syrians are not arabs, they may or may not be muslim, Lebanese are not arab, they may or may not be muslim. I was asking if in fact the nationality of Hezbolah as a group is tied to Saudi Arabia, because I do not believe that to be the case. Monk, okay we are back to Regulus and it being the watcher and in a Critical degree, Jerusalem is 34N41 by 35east14, or 5 taurus 14 if you were going to lay out the planet on the astrologers wheel with Greenwhich being 0 Aries. (though possibly old world astrologers might take issue with that, and place a 0 line elsewhere?) Mecca at 29 N 27, 39 E 49 Baghdad 33N 21 X 44 E 25 (looking for coordinates for UR, it really ought to be in on all this) Kuwait City 29 N 20 X 47 E 51 Alexandria, Egypt 31 N 12X 29 E 54 Tehran, Iran 34N 40 X 51 E 26 basically an area that is 21 N to 35 north and 29 East to 45 East The OddBalls madrid Spain (still a focus, and I think more from 1492, than from Present) is at 40 N 24 X 3W41 Rome 41N 54 X 12 E 29 Okay so if you are using Brady's method of sky watching then the Heliacal rising stars for the Alexandria to Tehran group would be fairly close and you could look at that area as one region fairly well, but the players seem to be all over the place, not all born in that area, and the incidents are a bit all over the place, Also for the region the fixed stars aren't stationary, they slip through the zodiac, so are you taking into acount the precession as well? For instance Regulas slipped into Leo in 148ad. approx. its now at the verge of slipping into Virgo.... okay hopefully I didn't wander too far off the path you are wondering on. I'm all ears again, Granny... Quote Sun Aug 13, 2006 5:35 pm
by Monk Hi Granny Skot, It may interest that i and an astrologer friend did a bit of research some time ago on the 33* degree lat. line, and any stars that have a declination of 33 degrees, as the stars would then be directly overhead at some point, at that latitude. Going back to 3500 BCE, not a lot of major stars at this latitude- Cor Serpentis, the heart of the serpent is probably the obvious one. By 1400 BCE- The pinnacle of Egyptian civilisation and a century after the height of the Babylon civilisation- Mirfak in Perseus was at this latitude, representing the young warrior, and Capella, representing the female huntress and freedom. it was a time of expansion- and war. The battle of Meggido was fought in 1483 BCE. By 500BCE, Arcturus was the main star at this latitude- associated with the hunter who become a farmer, and new ways of thinking. This corresponded to the fall of Babylon, the return of the Jews to Jerusalem, the founding of the Roman republic, and democtracy in Athens. By 300CE, Angol- associated with destruction and beheading- was the prominent star at this latitude. The Tartar wariors smashed through the Great Wall of China at Nanjing (roughly the same latitude), Constantine dies and the Byzantium empire splits, the Huns swept in from the east finishing the Ostrogoth empire- the whole period is denoted by empires falling. In the current epoch, i cant see any major stars, so cant help in looking at 33* as a energy line as an area that may effect other areas of the Earth. You mention Madrid, which roughly follows the same line as New York and Istanbul, and a few years ago Algol was at 40deg. 58min.- which is very close. During this time we had 11th Sept 2001, and the Madrid bombing on 11th March 2004. We may have some intended human symbolism here, as by excluding both dates that the attacks happened, you will find 911 days in between. I have a BBC report on the Turkey bombing that state that the explosions occurred at 11:10am and 11:12am. on Thursday 20th November 2003, the British Consul General Roger Short, as well as damaging the H.S.B.C. building. That shows one of the aspects that i look for being Mean Nodes on the angles. Quote Mon Aug 14, 2006 2:21 pm
by Monk Details on Madrid bombing is as follows:- www.wordiq.com/definition/March_11,_2004_Madrid_attacks Time of first explosions was 07:39am. This was a more traditional hostility chart with Pluto approx. 3 degrees from the M.C., and powered by an exact conjunction of the Sun and Asc. To show a little more light on how mean node can trigger an event, i thought i would give the assassination of President McKinley as an example, as there wasn't much else near any angles. It nearly drove me mad trying to find documents on this, and may interest astrologers who study the assassinations of American Presidents. Details are the best i can find, being the actual medical reports at the time, which you can find on this web-link:- www.docterzebra.com/prez/z_x25rixey_report_g.htm Time of shooting was 16:07pm. on Friday 6th September 1901, at Buffalo, New York. You will find Mean Node 1 degree from M.C. Quote Tue Aug 15, 2006 9:06 pm

by Monk As the terrorist attack at Sharm El Sheikh,(Lat 27*52', Long. 34*E17'), happened not long after the London bombings, i read all reports, and listened to tv bulletins, thus feel sure that this happened at approx. 01:15am. on Saturday 23rd July 2005. An explosion in the Old Market area was followed by two blasts in the Naama Bay area, where a car bomb tore off the front of the Ghazala Gardens Hotel. If you make up a chart you will find the Asc. at 21*09' Taurus and Juno at 20*19' Taurus. B)As the situation in Iraq is critical, and suicide bombing now happen every day at numerous locations, i dont now follow events like i did, as i was making up too many charts. But when attacks weren't as common, i will gradually bring more Juno charts to this thread. Oruba Square terrorist Attack. Wednesday 14th September 2005, at 06:30am in Baghdad, Iraq. As i have said, leaving web-links to news reports can be hit or miss but you can try this:- www.breakingnews.ie/2005/09/14/story220670.html At least 73 people were killed and 162 wounded early on 14th Sept. 05, when a suicide bomber detonated his vehicle near a group of construction workers in the North Baghdad district of Kazimiyah, police said. The blast occurred at 6:30am at Oruba Square where a crowd of day labourers had assembled before going to work on nearby construction sites. If you make up a chart you will find Juno 3 degrees off the M.C.... Quote Wed Aug 16, 2006 6:59 pm
by Monk The second Bali terrorist attack happened on Saturday 1st October 2005, at 20:15pm., at Kuta, Bali, Indonesia, Lat 08*S43', Long. 115*E11'. Quote from U.K. Sunday Mirror of October 2nd 2005. " At least 32 people were feared dead last night and over a hundred injured after a series of terrorist bombs rocked the holiday island of Bali. The bombs were detonated at the same time, killing and maiming torists eating in beachside restaurants or shopping for souvenirs. Police later discovered four more unexploded divices in the same area. The attacks happened at 8:15pm, some in two restaurants on Jimbaran Beach, seconds later a third blast ripped through a bustling shopping centre". This was a traditional hostility chart, Asc. is at 23*43' Taurus and Mars is at 23*22' Taurus. Desc. was at 23*43' Scorpio and Venus was at 22*44' Scorpio. Quote Wed Aug 16, 2006 11:59 pm
by Monk Obviously, looking at the triggers that release energy is very complex, my only conclusion is that i can find just a few of these triggers, and as i have brought into discussion the effect of Juno, i can only conclude that other small objects are out there in orbit to our Sun, that we havent even touched on, that may effect events on Earth. I have already brought to your attention that the Moon can be a trigger, thus i feel the need to double up events. I quote from a B.B.C. report:- "Iraq suicide bomb attacks kill 80. Two suicide bombers have killed at least 80 people and wounded dozens in two Iraq cities, in the deadliest day of attacks since elections. (Thursday 5th January 2006) The first attack near a major Shia shrine in Karbala killed at least 50 people and left 80 wounded. Later a suicide bomber killed at least 30 people and wounded 40 others when he blew himself up outside a police recuiting centre in Ar Ramadi. The explosion in Ar Ramadi occurred at 10:55am., local time, outside a police centre near the Ramadi Glass and Ceramics Works, where screening for Iraq police officers was taking place. The suicide bomber blew himself up among a crowd of around 1,000 applicants, who were queuing outside on the fourth and final day of a recuitment drive in the city. In Karbala, the bomber blew himself up at around 10:00am., in a crowded pedestrian area between the Iman Hussein shrine and the nearby shrine to Imam Abbas. Details involving suicide attack in Karbala, Iraq, Lat. 32*N35', Long. 44*E01', at 10:00am., on 5th Jan. 2006. I.C. at 15*02' Gemini, Juno at 12*36' Gemini, Asc. at 05*57' Piscis and Uranus at 07*53' Piscis. Details involving suicide attack at Ar Ramadi Iraq, Lat. 33*N25', Long. 43*E18', at 10:55am. M.C. at 27*05' Sag., Pluto at 25*03' Sag., Asc. at 25*09' Piscis and Moon at 25*59' Piscis. Quote Fri Aug 18, 2006 1:12 am

One of the Earl's twin grandsons, Nicholas, 14, and Paul Maxwell, 15, who was employed as a boat boy, also died in the explosion. They were aboard his boat, Shadow V, which had just set off from the Village of Mullaghmore, when the bomb detonated around 11:30am.
