Who did you give the asc in the ManU-match, Ficinia?
Saturn on the asc in that game was in a state of total destruction. Enough to bring a Castle down???

In the Championship, Watford at the top, played 0-0 with Preston at the bottom. But I notice that the Championship is much tighter than the Premiar league - the gap between the team at the top and bottom is not so wide in terms of points.

I gave Newcastle the Asc - home team and colours. Yes, I'd been thinking about the position of Saturn too but surely we must have seen this in previous games with Virgo Asc. Did it have a similar effect?

By the way, I'm not sure what you mean by "the public favourite". It's the bookies who decide on the favourite based on current form and calibre of players. The odds are not affected by the public in the same way as in horse racing for example. But perhaps I've misunderstood your meaning.

With the state of Saturn, I was most concerned with its opposition to the Sun being withing 2 degrees, which is a condition treated in Christian Astrology page 300. The opposition is to be given an orb of two degrees - quote me on that if it doesn't appear in the book on first sight.

Favourites - bookies favourites are good enough for me. I was looking for that fluctating variable that changes from match to match, and which in my opinion largely is what this all is about.

Carling Cup Final
Wembley 1500
Chelsea are the faves and the current Cup holders so they are represeted by the AC. What is striking is the exact opposition of the sigs. Together with the Moon not making any aspects within 5,6 degs, a darw is likely. Blackburn/Bolton are kicking off at the same time and the game has a similar chart but there's a significant difference. Because the Moon is anglar there on IC, though separating, this may give a definite result (Blackburn's win).

Andrew, why are you going for Chelsea? As I'm not sure which way the game'll finally go(inner voice says Spurs! or is it a wishful thinking?).

It was good of Ficina to let us know the Birm/Arsenal match kicked off 3mins late yesterday. A couple mins can often make a critical difference.

In today's games, I've got Villa down for a 2-1 win, Blackburn/Bolton 0-0 draw but I'm having second thoughts about both of these :???:

Gem,
Because the Moon is anglar there on IC, though separating, this may give a definite result (Blackburn's win).
Being on the IC I thought it would favour Bolton, but I wasn't too sure if it would be effective since, as you say, it's separating. Similarly Venus (L4) conj Desc also separating.

I agree with you, no clear testimonies in Carling Cup chart, so probably faves win by default, but I hope not!

Brilliant :'
The game ended 1-1 and went into extra time and Spurs deservedly won 2-1 :D

Moon on AC and MC generally favour AC team but I find it doesn't necessarily favour DC team when it's on DC/IC.

Well done, Gem, you said it would be a draw :' Glad that Spurs won. It makes a change from the big 4 winning everything!

Blackburn 4 - 1 Bolton
Eek!
Moon on AC and MC generally favour AC team but I find it doesn't necessarily favour DC team when it's on DC/IC.
I think it does when it's a very tight conjunction or in 4th/7th rather than 3rd/6th. This was why I said I had second thoughts about the draw prediction. Oh well, you win some, you lose some, you learn some :)

Ficina
Thank you so much. I'm over the Moon and very emotinal about the Spurs' victory and forgot to congratulate you on the Villa result. Very impressive to predict not only the win but also to get the score right :'

Talking of the Moon,
I think it does when it's a very tight conjunction or in 4th/7th
Sounds so true but strangely enough, I don't think I have an example in my collection. I'm yet to come across a real example. Or maybe a case of my memory failing me...

I had 2 quadruple bets in this weekend and had 6 out of 8 matches right - one wrong in both combination. The two teams that let me down were outstanding favourites with lousy the odds 1.15:1. It's terrible to get wasted at a poor price. Got Villa right, but not the Arsenal draw, nor Tottenham's victory. Feels kinda messy! :(

I'm in this for the research. Elsewise I am finding it difficult reach a sense of order that I can associate with my practice of astrology. For the mean time...
