POF conj the exalted Sun is a testimony that is strongly in advantage of the favourite. The Sun is lord of the hour.
So you don't go along with the suggestion that the POF is combust then? Interesting! Actually I've disregarded this testimony too and have gone for a 1-0 win to Everton.

Conversation re Chelsea/Arsenal:

Reds: We're going to win because your planet, Mercury, is contained by us and POF is combust.

Blues: No, you're not because strictly speaking Mercury is just over 3 degrees from the Desc and POF is just over 2 degrees from the Sun.

Reds: Let's hope the game kicks off late then!

So Gem and I are both hoping that the Sunday games kick off late. Not that we're biased of course  Or, as John suggests, the games may be snowed off...

P.S. Andrew, British Summertime starts 30 March.

Thanks Ficina :D Just got back to hear the good news :'

I found that combust POF favouring underdogs in my notes taken reading JF's book(I'd completely forgotten about it). If that's the case, the game'll go to W Ham(Moon applying to Jupiter) but as there're more than 5degs between them, it can be a draw.

I also found an awful bit of information. JF says L7 opposite POF is a powerful testimony for underdogs. Now I see there're two strong testimonies for Liverpool, I'm not so sure about Man U's victory :( I won't give up hope but draw is also a possibility, like the Chelsea/Arsenal match. I don't see Chelsea beating Arsenal in this chart but they are unbeaten at Stamford Bridge since when?

I didn't include that testimony in my analysis because although they're within the same degree, Saturn is separating from POF - if that's any comfort to you. I'm relying on the angular Moon to pull it off for Liverpool.

Dunno. Last century probably

Not much of a comfort, I'm afraid. There's something potent about being in the same degrees. Even though separating but if in the same degs, I've seen them work before.

A tiny comfort may be found in the Moon being at IC. Less reliable than being on the other angles.

I can't forget that Newcastle/Man City game which City won 2-0 with Moon conj IC. I got it wrong because I thought the Moon was weak :(

Last time Chelsea got beaten at Stamford Bridge was four years ago by.......Arsenal !! :lala

Everton 1 - 1 West Ham

Congrats to John and Gem (again!) :' More fool me for deciding to ignore the combust POF.

In the Prem today, 3 of the faves (albeit one very marginal) failed to win so it's looking very likely that one or both faves will win tomorrow. I'm tempted to change my predictions but perhaps I should stand by them :?

Well done to Gem.

I believe they're actually forecasting snow for London tomorrow!

Do I understand that Moon has to apply to POF. Is it any aspect for the favourite to win, or do hard aspects (conj and opp) favour the underdog?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just realised this has been answered before POF/anti POF sq/opp Moon is for the underdog, whilst conj, trine, sextile is for the favourite.

The only other Moon applying by sextile to POF recently was the Scunthorpe-Bristol City game. I've not kept enough records on antiPOF, or even POS to look up. Pity I can't save these points on the computer programme, it would make it easier to reference!

The wife pulled me out of bed at 07.30 am this morning and we went for a morning walk in the snow and -13C. Beautiful weather. Can't imagine how Britain could be hit by snow now. I'm all ready for football.

I think concensus here was that Liverpool should beat ManU because the Moon opposed the MC. I have gone for Lyon beating Paris, seeing that the Moon was conjunct the Asc, and the Sun, who is LHr, is exalted, L10 and trine the MC. I think Gretna should receive a beating from Celtic, since there is a lack of testimonies for an underdog.

Yes. JF says keep the POF still. Moon or significators apply to it.

I've got loads of examples because I keep notes on all my charts but they're not terribly helpful. In most cases there are other testimonies which have to be taken into consideration. If they're supporting testimonies, that's fine, but if they're contradictory then it's the usual balancing act of weighing up all the testimonies.

For example in the ManU/Liverpool chart, Moon is conj ant POF (faves) but Moon is slap bang on the IC and ant POF is 3 degrees from IC in 4th (underdogs). There are other testimonies too so it could go either way - or neither way with the Moon VOC. I'm relying on bodily emplacement of the Moon to overrule, but we shall see....

It's snowing here, Andrew. Lovely! :D
