West Brom - Man City 2-1
Newcastle - Tottenham 2-1
Arsenal - Liverpool 1-1 :'

Well, we got the match of the day right, and that was the one we thought was difficult, but as for the rest :(
I am actually wondering whether all this distortion is due to the Uranus/Saturn opposition. Things have been strange since, and accordingly this period could last until the thrid opposition in the series is passed and over....

I have also been wondering whethter we should be paying more attention to syzygys or ingresses, but another thought that struck me is how the competition seems to change character as teams get into the season. Some teams run out of steam, others take a strategic rest. Teams hitting the bottom start focusing and show an unexpected rally, etc.

I'm still confused about West Brom beating ManC. ManC are loosing it. I thought radicality was good for the favourite by odds or the team that was highest on the table - maybe I should be measuring this in terms of current form instead? Gem, I believe, suggested that radicality was often best for the home team. It is possible to argue for Newcastle beating Spurs, but not without changing either attitude or approach, ie. L1 mr L10. :-?

Monday Dec.22:
Everton - Chelsea, 20.00 GMT
Odds: 5,25 3,45 1,67
Asc 18LE06 MC 0TA53 Moon 10SC22 POF 27GE06
Played on the Day of the Moon and in the Hour of Saturn. The lord of the Hour and Lord of the Ascendant are in the same triplicity. Radical. Saturn, Lord of the hour, holds dignities on the 7th. Venus, L10, is conjunct the 7th cusp. Two testimonies for Chelsea, but POF is opposed by Mars and the Moon in Scorpio in the 4th house may bury the result. Radical by a triplicity mix. If I suggest a score-draw then at least I am not going for the obvious. :-?

Hi Andrew

for Everton I've got L1 trine MC, and conjunct L4 (if one allows over sign boundaries).

Moon opposes MC and is conjunct contra-anti Asc. Dunno what to make of that :? Good for underdog, maybe???

At the moment I'm leaning towards a 2-1 for Chelsea.......

52
No doubt Chelsea are the strongest team and my initial feeling was that Chelsea should win, but predicting football results seems to be connected with a certain amount of creativity and in view of our past observations I am thinking that if a chart opens for several possibilities - go with the most creative solution.

I dunno. I am presently happy with gathering observations and coming up with new ideas. It's as if there was running a disturbance in the force or natural order in nature at the moment. :???:

I did consider the possibility of a draw when I first looked at this chart - radicality by triplicity and L4 opp POF, as Andrew said, and L1 trine MC, as Susie said, although neither aspect is partile. It's very difficult to oppose Chelsea though, given their away record, and with hour ruler being L7, I should think they will win. It's just a question of how many goals they will score....

54
Yes, it was a draw. Everyones comments made sense. It was more a question of taking a chance for the draw. :D

I think we should note POF opp Mars. Mars going against the favourites, Chelsea did have a player sent off with a red card (John Terry, 35min). No, it was not a score draw, but Everton did score and have the goal disallowed (another obstruction). This is again very much in the nature of Mars. So all in all the draw was a very good prediction indeed and worth 3,45:1!

Chelsea collected all the cards today - 1 red and 3 yellow!

Anyone want to look at the FA Cup replay between Droyslden and Chesterfield on Tuesday. The first battle in Chesterfield ended 2-2. It would be very exciting if the underdogs won!

Asc 16LE48 MC 28AR49 Moon 22SC18 POF 6CN43
The game is played on the Day of Mars and in the hour of the Sun. The chart is radical. Venus, L4, is angular in the 7th but conjunct Chiron, which could indicate an 'act of fate'. I find it interesting that POF is disposed by the Moon who is conj the Part of Sickness at 22SC29. This could prove unfortunate for the favourite or fortunate for the underdog, either way.
Giving the home team the ascendant, I notice that the Sun, L1, casts his antiscia to Mars, L10. Can the underdogs suprize again?

The Droyslden strikers Tipton and Ellis are Sun Cancer and Sun Scorpio. That might go well down with POF CN and Moon SC?

You've hit the nail on the head there, Andrew. Well done for taking that chance :'

Just to add that the game kicked off at 8.01, by which time L1's trine to MC was partile. Also Saturn is slowing right down, so its effectiveness as sig and/or hour ruler is likely to be compromised. By the end of the month it will be stationary - something to bear in mind I think.

Do the planets capacity as rulers of the hours have anything to do with the celestial states of those planets? This is a question I have found myself pounding upon in the past. Doesn't a stationary planet work more like a needle that is applied with increased pressure?

Oh, this is so interesting. Some people who follow this department of the forum must sometimes think we are just as much right as wrong but then they would hardly appreciate the manner in which we are gathering information, examining techniques, asking questions and putting new ideas to the test.

Games for Boxing Day!

Stoke - ManU, 12.45 GMT
Odds: 10,00 5,00 1,29
Asc 4TA32 MC 13CP14 Moon 24SG29 POF 23AR54
Played on the Day and in the Hour of Venus. The Venus ruled sign on the ascendant proves the chart radical. POF is trine the Moon. All these are testimonies for the favourite. Mars, L7, saves the Moon from VOC. ManU get it.

Aston Villa-Arsenal, 17.15 GMT
Odds: 2,50 3,25 2,70
Asc 21CN50 MC 21PI47 Moon 26SG42 POF 13CN13
Played in the Hour of the Sun. Not radical. Villa are favourites by odds, but notice that Saturn, L7, opposes the MC and Mercury, L4, sits on the Desc. Saturn and Mercury are in mutual reception. Now I support Villa, but surely these are testimonies in advantage Arsenal.

Ipswich - Birmingham, 15.00 GMT
Odds: 2,55 3,15 2,65
Asc 25GE42 MC 19AQ13 Moon 25SG36 POF 167GE04
Played in the Hour of Jupiter, who has the same powers as the sign in the ascendant - Radical. However, in this type of radicality there often appears to be an advantage for the sign signified by the descandant, because the Lord of the Hour holds greater dignities on this cusp. The Moon sits on the descendant and holds no dignities in the ascendant. The Sun is L4 and casts his antiscia withing 1 degree of the cusp of the 7th. These are testimonies in advantage Birmingham.

Now the problem with the 15.00 GMT game is that this is when most games are kicking off on this day - so there is too many things happening at once. However, this could still prove an advantage for the away teams where their success is most likely. This could mean that the home teams would be yeilding more than the guests. However, the Sun or Moon angular often appear to be a testimony for the favourites. Strong away teams are MK Dons, Leicester and Torquay. Strong home teams are Chelsea, Liverpool, Wolves, Burnley, Burton and Kidderminster.

Multiple bets with combinations of 3 or 4 teams can fetch a fine price at an acceptable risk. Good Luck! :)

Hi Andrew,

Stoke/ManU
I agree that ManU should win this one for the same reasons as you. My only reservations are that hour ruler is L1 and Mars L7 is at 29?. Interesting that ManU were also Mars at 29? when they played Stoke at Old Trafford last month. They were able to overcome this debility on that occasion and beat Stoke 5-0! Slightly different scenario this time and they might not find it quite so easy. We shall see.

I also agree Arsenal should beat Villa, again for the same reasons you've already stated.

The 3pm charts are interesting. The five Prem games have Saturn as hour ruler so charts are radical by triplicity. Saturn is partile trine Mercury L1 which suggests to me an even stronger testimony for the home/faves rather than the possibility of a draw which this type of radicality often produces. Any thoughts on this?

Against this, antiscion Sun L4 is partile conj Desc in a couple of the games and I think this might sway things in favour of the away/underdogs (Hull and Newcastle).
the Sun or Moon angular often appear to be a testimony for the favourites.
Have you found this to be so even when Moon is conj Desc? The Moon is sitting just inside 7th in three of the games. I find it difficult not to see this as a testimony for the away/underdogs.

As you say, there are a lot of things going on in these charts and they will take a bit of sifting through.

Yuletide felicitations to everybody :D

Thanks, Ficina! :)

Does reception among Mercury and the Lord of the Hour improve radicality? Note that these significators also are in the same triplicity (ie in the earth), so there is a triplicity combination present on two grounds. The reception will improve the working and perfection of any aspect or dialogue among planets. I suppose the question is whether this reception improves the negociation with the ascendant and improve the arguement for the either the favourite or the team represented by the ascendant. Yes, that is a good idea, but where there are several indications of radicality there may be a hierachy of testimonies, meaning that one dialogue takes precedence. And if there were a reception between two planets in opposition to each other, the aspect would result in perfection although not completely abate the effect of the opposition.

A lot of games are starting at the same time will all display the reception between Mercury and the Lord of the Hour, so while this creates no detriment to the chart I considered it as only a general testimony - and give priority to those faster moving details that differenciates one match from another. Here are a few games where I found such particulars:

Burnley - Barnsley has Asc 24GE44 with antiscia Sun at 24SG46. I am going for Burnley.
Ipswich - Birmingham has Asc 25GE42 opposite Moon 25SG36. I suggest Birmingham.
Leeds - Leicester, the Asc is 25GE31 and Luna opp. at 25SG26. My bet goes with Leicester.
Bristol Rovers - MK Dons, Moon 24SG32, antiscia Sun 24SG52. MK Dons are my favourites to win.

I am reasoning that the Sun casting it's antiscia to the 7th gives some advantage to the ascendant in the East, while the Moon gives advantage to the descendant and the West. I think that the Sun casting it's antiscia to an angle may be more significant than with the Sun actually sitting on that same angle. Maybe both luminaries should be involved to give precedence to the favourite. The betties consider the game between Ipswich and B'ham as open, but the Moon on the desc may both give advantage to the guests at the same time as B'ham is fighting at the top of the Championship. :???:
