Great example chart:

Norwegian Tippeliga - May 25.
Aalesund - Stabaek, 19.00 CST 62N28 6E09
Odds: 3,10 3,35 2,20
Asc 2SC10 MC 22LE12 Moon 21GE19 POF 18SC52
Day Moon, Hour Jupiter
Stabaek won the series last year but have had a slow start sofar this year. Aalesund are not a particularly strong football team and have few merits to show to. However, this evening the Moon is sextile the MC. Mars, L1, applies to Jupiter, Lord of the Hour, who is in an angular house. Aalesund won 1-0.

Great example chart:

Norwegian Division 1 - May 26.
Kongsvinger - Sogndal, 19.35 CST 60N12 12E00
Odds: 1.95 3.60 3.55
Asc 13SC05 MC 8VI32 Moon 6CN35 POF 14SG04
Day Mars, Hour Venus/Mercury
Kongsvinger have won 14 of their last 17 matches and are at the top of division 1. Sogndal have won 5 out of their last 12 games. Kongsvinger are favourites by odds. The telling factor is Venus, L7, at 20AR11 casting her antiscia to the MC. The orb 1 17' will be narrowed down if the game is slightly late. POF is also square Saturn and goes against the favourites. Sogndal won 0-2!

Two great games:

Finland:
JJK Jyvaskyla - IFK Mariehamn, 16.30 BST
Odds: 2,75 3,05 2,60
Dy Mercury, Hour Saturn - not radical
Asc 1SC44 MC 21LE10 Moon 20CN06 POF 15SG21
Venus, L7, trine the MC. POF square Saturn. I am going for the guests.

Honka - Jaro, 17.00 BST 60N13 24E40
Odds: 1,60 3,55 5,90
Asc 6SC54 MC 27LE49 Moon 20CN24 POF 20SG48
Day Mercury, Hour Saturn - not radical
Mars, L1, trine the MC. POF trine Venus - considered as a fortune rather than L7, benefits the favourite. Honka gets it, with an outside chance of the lack of radicality, together with Moon inconjunct POF and the Sun inconjunct the Ascendant providing a draw.

Let's see how it all works out!

Contrary to in Britain, in Norway we play football during the Summer and then ski through the winter. So the Norwegian Cup has just started. A lot of elite teams are meeting amateur squads in the initial rounds. Games this evening start at 18.00 CST With the Moon applying sextile to its dispositor, the Sun, who is Lord of the Leo 10th - the top division boys should be safe.

In Finland, however:

Inter Turku - VPS, 16.30 BST 60N27 22E17
Odds: 1,36 4,50 8,50
Asc 1SC20 MC 18LE39 Moon 4LE41 POF 28SG35
The Moon applies to the Lord of the 10th. POF is trine Mars, who is L1. The home team favourites will not be overcome.

HJK Helsinki - Tampere, 17.00 BST 60N10 24E58
Odds: 1,75 3,40 4,75
Asc 7SC43 MC 29LE10 Moon 4LE459 POF 5CP14
The Day of Venus, the Hour of the Moon - radical.
I suggest to play safe again and go for the home team who are favourites by odds. The Midheaven is at the end of Leo, but the closest aspect is still trine Mars, L1.

The combined odds are 2,41:1

If the MC in either of these games had been 21Leo I would have chanced the guests by reason of Venus, L7, being trine the Midheaven.

Check the chart for Inter Turku - VPS!
Inter Turku were defeated 0-1 at a smacking 8,5:1!!!

I can't see where it came from. Everything else I did this evening was on the dot - but this one mucked things up! Absolutely outrageous! :-sk

How did the underdogs do it?

Could it be that VPS are ruled by Leo and that this should always be considered as a benefiting factor?

A new game for this evening, a one-off in Budapest:

Hungarian League:
?jpest FC - FC Feh?rv?r, 18.00 BST 47N33 19E03
Odds: 1,60 3,65 5,10
Day Venus, Hour Saturn - not radical.
Asc 22SC29 MC 9VI41 Moon 19LE53 POF 3AQ55

I am including the chart in hope of that someone will comment. Mercury, is L10, stationary and conjunct the cusp of 7th house. The Moon applies to the trine of Venus, L7. The chart is not radical and could move the result away from the favourite. However, POF is conjunct the Moon's North Node. Who gets it? A great chart for learning!

Today's best bet is in the Swedish Allsvenskan:

BK H?cken - IF Elfsborg, 18.00 CST
Odds: 3,75 3,40 1,95
Day Venus, Hour Moon - Radical
Asc 11SC16 MC 2VI20 Moon 19LE53 POF 22CP41
The Moon applies to the trine of Venus, L7. POF is square a fortune, Venus, L7, through signs of short ascension. Mercury, L10, is stationary. I go with the guests who are favourites by odds.

Andrew your the best

but i have a question for you.
to predict a match you dont need the chart at the start of the game and the chart at half-time? thanks

59
Re Inter Turku/VPS, I would prefer the Mars/POF aspect to be partile but, even so, I can see no testimonies for the Desc team. I would have gone for the favourites too.

Re Budapest game, L10 conj Desc is something of a confuser. It can favour either side, depending on supporting testimonies. As you have pointed out, chart isn't radical and Moon trines L7, so it would appear to favour the away/underdogs. I use the true node which is not conjunct POF. I'd expect Feh?rv?r to get something out of the game even if it's only a draw.

As far as domestic games are concerned, since most of my experience is with the Premier League, it feels rather strange trying to make predictions about teams I'm totally unfamiliar with. I would normally check the natal charts too for supporting testimonies.

That's an interesting and sensible question. I never considered casting a chart for the second half, although we have probably asked in one of our threads whether a chart should be cast for extra-time. I think the conclusion is that there is only one battle and that is what the chart is cast for. A swimmer also does a turn at either end of the swimming pool but treads the same water and it is the sum of lengths that is measured.

Hardly! I might have to ask the moderator to delete that remark, but thanks for tending to my ego all the same. :) There are so many resourceful astrologers at this forum. The forum is a place for asking questions, examining technique and questioning theory. Sometimes things don't work out. We ask why, and how to reach perfection. Most often many forum members are contributing with ideas on the same topic, which allows us to exercise our skills from different angles. Predicting sports results is most hazardous but maybe we can take some of the learning and edge gained within this field of sport and gaming with us into other fields of astrological discipline. Welcome on board! :'
