I've been giving it some thought and can make a case for giving the Asc to the fave, but of course that's easy to say after the event and one must try and stay consistent.

I can see how Saturn conj POF could work the same way as Pluto conj POF, i.e. against the faves. However, unlike Pluto, Saturn can be a significator and that tends to confuse things. In this case it seems that Saturn as malefic took precedence over Saturn as L4. I wonder if it would work the same way if Saturn were L1 or L7?
