by Janis Valkovskis b]Aalesund - Valeranga[/b] According to Placidus, it is the hour of Jupiter and the chart is not radical. Even if it is Saturn's by Regio, the chart is not radical anyway with Saturn, L of day and hour, in Libra, in detriment of Mars, L1. The guards might be cought on the bridge, in particular considering that Saturn and R Jupiter are mutually applying to opposition. So draw is possible. By colour method I attribute Venus to Valeranga for its away kit is light blue quite akin to Venus. Aelesund home kit is orange shirts and blue shorts, mixed association with Jupiter and Sun. Venus is in the exaltation degree of Mercury, L10, and partile trine with Moon, in the fall degree of Jupiter, L of hour. So we have "turned on" 2 very sensitive degrees. I think the clue how to read the chart is the partile trine Moon - Venus through sings of long ascension. Venus is a fortune and being in the exaltation degree of Mercury, L10, Valeranga if signified by Venus should get it. Mars, L1, perfects no aspect unless we count his A conjunction with R Jupiter and square with A retro Pluto. R Jupiter, as one of Aelesund significators, is in a partile square with R Pluto, co- ruler of I and XII. Though the square perfects in dignities of Mars, L1, I doubt whether one can derive any benefit from it. Moon being in Jupiter's detriment and fall degree obviously enfeebles him. Besides, Jupiter's trine with Sun, dispositor of Mercury, L1, is not partile. Trine Moon - Venus is partile, so it shall be given preference. On that testimonies my choice is Valeranga. We have another 3 games worth a bet starting with Scorpio rising. Allsvenskan, Sweden Atvidabergs FF - GAIS Odds: 2.50 3.20 2.70 Kick off 16:00 CET ASC 19 SC 44 MC 17 VI 10 Moon 15 CA 03 POF 3 TA 12 Hour Jupiter, not radical. As Atvidabergs FF home kit is blue and white I use Venus and Moon as its significators. GAIS russet- orange shirts seem akin to the Sun. The same considerations as in the previous chart, plus we have POF in the exaltation degree of Moon (3 Taurus). My choice is Atvidabergs. Malmo FF - AIK Odds 1.60 3.65 5.50 Kick off 16:00 CET ASC 16SC39 MC 12VI07 POF 0TA 06 Malmo home kit is light blue and white. Significators Venus and Moon. The same considerations. Plus Venus is the most elevated planet. Malmo should get it. IF Brommapojkarna - Mjallby Aif Odds: 2.50 3.20 2.70 Bromma's home kit is black, Mjallby's away is red. So significators are Saturn and Mars respectively. Obviously, both of them may get some benefit from Moon's position in Capricorn, house of Saturn and exaltation of Mars. According to Lilly, in competions exaltation is prefered to house. Moon and Venus by nature are more akin to Saturn, both are wet and cold. Mars seems to be in a slightly better position than Saturn because of his disposition closer to MC, his antisca falling on Jupiter, L of hour, and Jupiter's disposition in his dignities. The Sun in Leo, in detriment of Saturn, in VIII seems also to be a slight advantage for Mars. Saturn's partile opposition with R Uranus I consider as Saturn's disadvantage. On the other hand, Venus is dispositor of Saturn and POF, and her trine to Moon could be an indication for Saturn. As there is no favourite and indications are pretty contradictory, my choice is draw. I haven't looked at statistics, it may change my opinion. My choice collects pretty decent odds 1:28.8 Regards and waiting for your analysis Quote Sat Jul 24, 2010 9:54 am

Well, I understand what you mean but it could be slightly confusing because the traditional method has Jupiter as hour-ruler whatever the house system, including Regio. I'm trying my alternative method for this game: Aalesund - orange = Sun; Valerenga - light blue = Venus. Both planets are above the horizon. If Valerenga were odds-on faves this would indicate a win, but they're not particularly strong faves and they have away disadvantage. Also the chart is non-radical. I'll go for a draw. 51 by Janis Valkovskis Only Malmo has managed to score I wonder if trine Moon - Venus is ineffective so far. May be because Virgo and Capricorn are barren? Quote Sat Jul 24, 2010 3:03 pm

You are perfectly correct, Ficina. It is probably beyond topic to go into the theoretical problems here, however, ChronosXP calculactes Sunrise in Oslo today for 04.49 CST at which time the asc was 1LE10 and the Sun 1LE08. That is pretty dead on the solar center, but that doesn't take into account that the Sun's rim cut the rational horizon 2 minutes earlier at 04.47 and then there is the bending of light (refraction) that adds another degree, but which adds another 12 minutes at latitude 60 north. I don't know whether the ancients were operating with rational or apparent sunrize. But if ChronosXP calculations are to be taken as a standard, sunset in Oslo today is to occur at 22.02 CST - at this time the Sun is 1LE49 but when I calculate the chart the ascendant is 4AQ37!! The problem is not topical to the sports section, and I got more than enough work sorting out my football predictions at present. But thank you for letting me include the variation in the discusion at the forum. Maybe I should refer to the variation as Lord of the Housedivision (LHd) to indicate the difference? At least the approach I am working on is loyal to the rational transition of the Sun across boundaries. If you have a suggestion how I can continue this work without causing confusion, let's find out how this can be done. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sat Jul 24, 2010 3:48 pm
by Janis Valkovskis Unfortunately, I disgrace myself with my analysis. Only Malmo FF - AIK played as forecast. Probably I should have looked at statistics before analysis. But I seem to be on right track how to analyse games starting at the same time in neighbouring distance Quote Sat Jul 24, 2010 4:05 pm
by Janis Valkovskis Bad luck, Andrew, Ficina It turned out that application that Sun's (orange) application to Jupiter, L of hour, though retrograde and thus weakened, by trine proved to be stronger than partile trine Moon - Venus. Moon and Venus are essentially debilitated, thus proved ineffective. Besides Moon was in the fall degree of Jupiter, so unlucky. Only Malmo (Venus and Moon) - AIK played as predicted, because Venus happened to be the most elevated planet and thus powerful. We seem to be on the right track Quote Sat Jul 24, 2010 5:04 pm
by Andrew Bevan Photo: Aftenposten Aalesund/Valerenga was a 0-0 match right until the very last minutes when Alexander Mathisen, Aalesund, got a lucky foot on the ball. The game ended 1-0 to Aalesund. Alexander Mathisen previously played for Valerenga. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sat Jul 24, 2010 6:02 pm
by Ficina Thanks for posting the pic, Andrew. At least we got the colours correct, if nothing else! This game reminds me of the Hacken/Helsingborg one which also had Moon trine L7. The home underdogs won that game too. Re hour-ruler methods, I think so long as you point out when there's a difference, that's the main thing especially if it means a chart is radical one way but not the other. Most of the time though both methods give the same hour-ruler. Quote Sat Jul 24, 2010 9:10 pm
by Andrew Bevan I think that the Saturn opposite Uranus is causing some disturbance at present - a diversion from order; turning of tables; reshuffling of cards; putting weight on the odd foot - in such a way that a majority of football games may seem either unpredictable or irrational for the time being. Although it would make more sense if this particularly were true on Saturday, the Day of Saturn, which gives me some hope that Sunday, the Day of the Sun, could perform with greater stability and prove advantageous to the favourites; considering that the Sun is in his own sign and applying to the trine of Jupiter. Or that the condition of the Sun temporily 'saves' us from the opposition of Saturn and Uranus. There is the Big Picture, then there are Details. Maybe the opposition between Saturn and Uranus suggests to look for creative opportunities as far as football results are concerned. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Jul 25, 2010 5:06 am
by Andrew Bevan Denmark looks like the place to be today, and I am offering my thoughts on the top games although my soccer tips have hardly been up to par of late. Lyngby ? AC Horsens, 14.00 CST 55N46 12E31 Odds: 2,85 3,50 2,30 Asc 0SC13 MC 13LE08 Moon 26CP10 POF 23AR56 Day Sun, Hour Mars ? radical The Moon applies by trine to Lhr/L1, who disposes her by exaltation. Bookmakers hold 1-1 as most likely at 6,75:1, but 1-0/2-1 gives 11:1. I think 2-1 could be a good guess. FC Nordsjaelland - S?nderjyskE, 16.00 CST Farum Odds: 1,70 3,55 4,85 Asc 19SC58 MC 14VI17 Moon 27CP10 POF 14TA34 Day Mars, Hour Sun/(trd:Sun/Venus) ? radical by powers L1 Moon trine LI, POF trine MC. It looks like a home win for the favourites but Venus, L7, is in the 10th house and culminating. Do they get a goal? Bookmakers hold 1-0/1-1 as the most likely result 7,0:1 but 3-1 to Nordsjaelland gives a 15:1 return. It could be possible. AaB Aalborg ? Br?ndby, 18.00 CST Odds: 2,55 3,45 2,55 Asc 7SG27 MC 14LI19 Moon 28CP10 POF 3GE00 Day Sun, Hour Mercury ? in same triplicty as Jupiter, L1 The Moon is VOC. The Sun applies trine Jupiter, L1. Mercury, Lhr, rules 7th but applies to the opposition of Neptune. Venus, L10, casts her antiscia to the 4th so I think I favour a draw. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Jul 25, 2010 9:11 am
by Andrew Bevan The Norwegian game this evening, just for the details in the chart: Stabaekk - Rosenborg, 20.00 CST Odds: 3,20 3,40 2,15 Asc 26SG04 MC 16SC14 Moon 29CP11 POF 22GE23 Day Sun, Hour Moon - not radical and Moon VOC Mercury, L7, opposes Neptune. Venus, L4, sextile MC. Jupiter, L1, trine Sun. I don't wanna guess - just observe. The game is being played where the held the Eurovision Song Contest Final earlier this year. Lenaaa! I think I will keep quiet for the rest of the day. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Jul 25, 2010 9:41 am
by Janis Valkovskis Lyngby ? AC Horsens Thank you, Andrew, for analysis. I cannot decide whether the Moon's application by trine to Mars, L1 and hour and dispositor of POF, is good for Lyngby or Horsens. Horsens' away kit is black, so according to colour method it gets ASC. Lyngby is DSC playing in white and blue (Venus and Moon). As we saw yesterday, partile trine Moon - Venus was of little help for the teams playing in white/blue or light blue. Today we have no aspect between Moon and Venus, both are essentially debilitated and, in addition, Mars disposes the fall degree of Venus. My guess is that AC Horsens should get it because we see that the Moon has seperated from Venus, L1, and is applying to Mars, L1 and hour and dispositor of POF. I treat Moon's application to Mars as an advantage for Horsens, playing in black, rather than Lyngby playing in white and blue. My tip is a draw no bet. Good luck Quote Sun Jul 25, 2010 11:53 am
