There is not a fat lot of difference in these charts, played in the hour of Jupiter, who agrees with the powers of Libra and the ruler, Venus. But the thing I want to check again is the sextile to Fortuna at 10TA22 (at Crawley). This should be good for the favourite, and at Stamford Bridge there is the additional benefit of the Lord of the Hour being in Cancer, the sign I believe we agree represents Chelsea.

I really appreciate your input, Janis, but I don't quite understand what you are up to - but this is only due to difference of approach and that we are working on different wave lengths.
It would be great if you came up with a hard bet in advance so that we can reckon up the odds and see if there is anything that can be incorporated into our own placements. The higher the odds, the better the prediction - but the first and most important criteria is getting something right, really. I don't think either of us won yesterday!

It agrees with my observations. Jupiter, the lord of hour and the significator, surely is a good indication for Chelsea. However, my eyes are on Moon, the dispositor of Jupiter, which applies to retrograde and angular Mars. Moreover, there is corruption between the lord of the day - Mars and the lord of the hour Jupiter. Jupiter is in Cancer, the fall of Mars. Disagreement between the lord of the day and the lord of the hour, I have observed, is a testimony which harms the favourites. I do not think that Chelsea will fail to qualify (a high score draw of defeat), but I am wondering whether Galatasaray will score? My bet is Chelsea wins and both teams score at odds 3.40 with Bet365.

Crawley Town - Wolves. I look at the condition of Jupiter, the ruler of hour and dispositor of the Sun, the significator of Wolves. My bet is on Wolves.

There are several games in which significators are in the same triplicity - Colchester (Mercury) - Shrewsbury (Jupiter), odds 2.63 3.30 2.90; in Blue Square Premier: Macclesfield (Jupiter), Barnet (Sun), odds 2.40 3.30 2.90.

In Blue Square Premier I am looking also for some good underdogs. My eyes are on Lincoln (odds 3.90), in Cambridge - Southport 1.80 3.60 4.33 the result might also be moved away from the favourite. I will explain my astrological reasoning later for all UK games.

After the 1st half Wolves are down 2:1 after taking a 1:0 lead. Let's see how will it finish but it appears that in this game I went against my rules. I just noticed a slip of pen, Cambridge Utd plays against Welling not Southport. Chester plays against Southport.

Not very successful today. Galatasaray did not score. Crawley Town won according to the rules, the Moon's application to retrograde Mars in Libra, the fall of the Sun, proved fatal for Wolves (Sun).

Another game which I did not mention but had my eyes on was Wigan (blue - Jupiter) - Yeovil (white/green -Venus). The Moon (Jupiter's dispositor) applied to Mars while Jupiter is in Cancer, the fall of Mars.

Well, the games Colchester (Mercury) - Shrewsbury (Jupiter) and Macclesfield (Jupiter) - Barnet (Sun) did not end draw. But the game Chester (Jupiter) - Southport (Sun), a third one, where both significators were in the same triplicity did.

It is hard to say why Colchester (Mercury) - Shrewsbury (Jupiter) ended 1:0. If we use the rule that the dispositor has power over the disposed planet (traditional reception rules seem not to work in soccer), Shrewsbury should have won. Probably the result is explained by statistics (Shrewsbury is weak away) and the Moon's application to Mars in the first house.

Macclesfield (Jupiter) won Burnet (Sun) because of being the dispositor. But then it is hard to explained why Chester (Jupiter) did not win Southport (Sun). Probably, because of terrible statistics but it is my guess rather than a conclusion. Sometimes it seems that dodedecatamoria of ASC and POF makes difference (falling in terms ruled by malefics, it favours underdogs; in terms of benifics - favourities). I use also the reception between the ruler of the term of dodedecatamoria and apply the same rules.

Well, Lincoln won. A consolation goal though.

Don't be afraid of being wrong. This is the psychology of the market. Get out and find out what it is about and how it affects you! Your strength lies in the depth of your astrological deductions and willingness to consider the variables. For me, taking a position is the clearest way to find out what is and what is not working. It is a lot easier to reckon up afterwards.

A lot of my football work is rather messy, but it allows me to reflect on technique and methodology. The football section is a test pit. I do not feel that anything that goes on here discredits either myself, my practice or astrology. Truth be known, there are probably more distinguished scientists in the the world that love a gamble on the football (and loose) than ever signed a petition against astrology. And what's rational about that!?

Arsenal are actually underdogs by odds in their game against Chelsea. These are quoted 1,90 3,50 4,50 but it is hard to see why. Yes, it is the hour of the Moon and both Lady of the Hour and the Lord of the Ascendant are in fire - radical by triplicity. But I noted Uranus 11AR52, co-ruler of the 7th, on the MC 12AR03 - and Moon, L12, adding energy by trine. - So I went with the guests.

Between WestHam and ManU, the hour of Venus makes the chart radical by triplicity, but there is not much going on in the chart. I think Mercury, L1, is weak in fall, conjunct Neptune and cadent.
