It's so tempting to back Crystal Ocean in the 15:05. In Vedic, Mars rules gem stones, and obviously Cancer is ocean.

It's just that Permian is so fast! Think I'll sit back and watch that race.

Been an interesting 4 days. Just using Addey on the main races, he has managed to call 3 winners, and a 2nd at decent odds.

Maybe I've been too greedy in the past - trying to use a Horary Chart on too many races made me question the method!

For Ascot, I've only used the 11 main aspects. However, I remain convinced that it's the 11th house that's doing the work; not the 5th.

Props to ModWasp for continually championing the JAM system.

I have mainly used the JAM system. The problem with the Telegraph competition has been that I had to predict every race. I only bet on one or two races a day. Why?

Often the JAM planet either did not clearly indicate a runner or, more often, there were two or three possible horses that fit. In that case I did not bet, but had to make a choice for the competition.

I find the method works well when there is a clear single horse indicated.

The suggestion that the 11th cusp rather than the 5th might be the one to use is interested as I use the traditional aspects, plus 150 (but not usually 30), the 8th harmonic aspects 45 and 135 and crucially the quintile series. If we switch to the 11th cusp, then the quintiles are different by 36 degrees. I have noticed that quintiles (particularly bi-quintiles) have worked well, but I have not looked to see if quintiles from the 11th would have worked better - job for next week. I also need to go back and look at 30 degree aspects.

Friday was a very disappointing day for my predictions. I agreed with others on the planet, but chose the wrong horse from two or three indicated.

We will see how the last day goes.

Interesting.I've personally had 17 bets over the four days so far - 6 wins, 1 place and 10 losers. My place bet returned a profit, so you could call that a winner. That's just over 33% of bets won, i'm in profit.

With my fantasy league betting, I've selected 72 horses had 12 winners and 23 places, all of which have generally been at long odds. It's a win rate of just under 50% - i;m sure that both GB and John would be similar if not higher figures, because the fantasy league is also based on points for trainers and jockeys.

With regard to our fantasy league, some of the proof might be in some of the pudding, depending on where we finish. At one point we reached no.8 on the leader table, but Wednesday was bad for everyone.

Comes down to interpretation again. Pisces rules the waves and Cancer rules rivers (Mutable vs. Cardinal).

My conundrum is prioritising which of my selections should be my first pick.

Today, from my two options on the fantasy league, I got 4 winners out of 6 races.
I discarded the winner of the 5th race as the trainer had two in the race and I discarded Roly Poly for a place in the fourth. Best winner so far for me at 20-1 in the last race.

My 2nd selections won at 6-1 and 20-1, so the day was ok.

I take the view that individuals have greater fortune with a particular degree or planet on the Ascendant, compared to others. I'm at the early stages in working out jockey x will beat jockey y at a certain degree but if jockey x is not racing then jockey y will win.

I've got a way forward but it will take a little patience to narrow down these possibilities. I'd expect these degrees to resonate with a birth chart but I'm not even thinking about looking in to this yet.

I still find JAM works well but my approach seems to step in when there is no strong JAM contender.
