And directed Jupiter (in the radix, L1 in the 8th) is conjunct the profected 5th which holds Saturn and the Moon. Both Neptune and Jupiter are with the Sun (LoY) in the radix 8th.

Then in the maiora Neptune is critical and trines the directed Uranus/Saturn conjunction while Uranus trines radix Jupiter (L5 and L8 in the profected) and Saturn squares the Ascendant while maiora Death has moved to square directed Saturn.

And in the minora the 11th (in Cancer, sign on the radix 8th) conjuncts the minora Sun. The minora Uranus conjuncts maiora Saturn (repeating 1º directed conjunction) and squares the Ascendant while minora Death sextiles radix Jupiter.

Venus, too, is interesting as ruler of the radix 6th of illness. She is in contact with Illness at the 1º level, the Killing Planet in the maiora and the cusp of the 8th in the minora while ruling the 10th (action) in both the radix and profected charts.

Extended Speculum Worsdale tells us this young man drowned to death on September 26, 1825. It's quite a sad tale
”This Native in company with five others, attended a Marriage, in the Church of Bardney, near Lincoln; and in attempting to cross the River Witham, in a small Boat, one of them, regrdless of danger, shaked the Boat with considerable violence, which occasioned Water to flow over the sides; in this situation, as the Boat was fast filling, they all went to the stern, by which it instantly upset, and they were all precipitated into the Water; two others of the Names of Dent, and Kennington, (each about twenty years of age,) were drowned with this Native; the other three were saved with the greatest difficulty.”

Worsdale ascribes the timing to a long train of directions beginning with “the Sun...directed to the Quartile of Saturn, in the World, Converse Motion [17y3m]; succeeded by [the Sun] to the Body of Mars in the Zodiac, Converse Direction [18y8m]” and ending with the Sun “Parallel of Mars, in the World, Converse Direction [19y2m]; followed by many other direful Motions” to the Sun.

The profection is in the 6th sign, Gemini. There are two cusps in Gemini, the 5th at 4 GE 16 and the 6th at 20 II 01. Directed Neptune is partile opposed to the 5th house cusp from 4 SAG 16 so the profected Ascendant is in 4 GE 16 with Neptune usurping Mercury's role as Lord of the Year. The Age Arc for the event is 17º 11'. Radix Neptune was in the 10th, it now sits in the 6th. Radix Mercury was in the 7th ruling the 5th and 6th, it now sits in the 3rd and rules the 1st and 4th.

So we've the possibility of a sudden (cardinal) drastic (Pluto), possibly lethal (Saturn) accident involving friends (11th) around water (Neptune).

Extended Speculum Worsdale gives the dates for two events, the woman's marriage to a “well-to-do” man on May 6, 1807 and her death on August 2, 1818.

Marriage – May 6, 1807
Worsdale says “This Native was Married to a Gentleman far above her station in Life, which is plainly visible in the Heaves. An honorable connexion was formed at the Age of twenty-six Years, and two Months, under the Effects of the Direction of the Midheaven to the Trine of the Sun, in the World, he being ruler of the Tenth, and posited in the Western Angle, which is the Husband's Ascendant. At the Age of twenty-six Years, and eleven Months, the Horoscope came by Direction to the Sextile of Jupiter, in Mundo,...and, as Jupiter was in a Cardinal Sign, disposed of by Venus, lady of the Husband's Ascendant, and was also in the Radix, in a Mundane Sextile to the Medium Caeli, the supreme Angle of Dignity, and Promotion; and was likewise trine to Venus in the Eight, which is the Husband's second, with Mercury lord of the Eighth, in Sextile to Venus, lady of the seventh; these Radical positions, united with the efficacy of the primary Directions in operation from the Age of twenty-six Years, and two Months, until twenty-six Years, and eleven Months, were proper to produce a respectable, and Wealthy Marriage. She was married to a Gentleman of considerable Property, on the sixth of May, 1807, Aged twenty-seven Years, and six Days.”

Profection
The individual died on August 2, 1818 at the age of 38 years, 3 months and 3 days after a lingering disease that affected her stomach and liver. Saturn is Lord of the Year. Extended Speculum According to Worsdale the little girl drowned at age 6 years, 5 months, and 16 days; and the time was signified by the direction of the Ascendant (Hyleg) to “the Square of Saturn [6y6m], and the Sun in Mundo [8y4m]”.

Investigation
The little girl dying at the age of 6 years, 5 months, 16 days corresponds roughly to 6º (30 x 5 + 16) 166 days or (166/365 x 60) 27' for an Age Arc of 6º 27'.

Profection
The Profection would be in the 7th whole sign from the Ascendant which is Capricorn. Directed Mars is at 21 Libra 16 in exact square the Ascendant/Descendant axis so the profected Asc is in 21 CA 16 and Mars usurps Saturn's position as Lord of the Year. Saturn rules the radix 8th and 7th and is in the radix 4th. In the profected chart he rules the 1st and 2nd and is in the 9th.

Extended Speculum Worsdale says the young girl died of “lingering illnesses” on December 3, 1824 at the age of 14 years, 21 days. He attributed her demise to “Directions...the Part of Fortune (Hyleg) to the Square of Mars, in the World [14y1m], and Mundane Semiquartile of Saturn [21y5m]” and he makes the comment that the distance in time between these two directions is neither here nor there as “two destructive Directions to the Apheta, (even when they are far remote,) without sufficient benign aid, will never fail to cause dissolution.” He also notes that both Jupiter and Venus were afflicted by directions at the time of death, Jupiter being opposed to Saturn and Venus conjunct Saturn.

The Venus in this chart is an example of what can happen if a planet is in a high declination; they can appear to “return” to their natal position. Because Venus is sitting at a declination of 27 S she starts her motion from an OA that projects to 16 Capricorn in the 7th House and then moves, by primary motion, to 2 Capricorn, the positon she occupies in the 6th.

Extended Speculum Worsdale says the little girl died on June 2, 1826 at the age of 10 years, 10 months, 3 days from “water on the brain” and attributes the death to the following “mortal train”: “the Aphetical point [Sun] was directed to the Parallel of Saturn in Mundo, by a right Motion, followed by the Body of Mercury in the Zodiac, Semiquartile of Mars in the World, Direct Direction, Parallel of Saturn in Mundo, Converse Motion, and Conjunction of that Malefic, by Converse Direction.” He also says “the Sun to the Body of Mercury,...most Wonderfully points out the quality of Death” being Pisces (water); guessing he assigns the head to the Sun. He also gave an earlier date of 3 years, 5 months for the time of a dangerous illness that did not kill the child because, at the time, Venus and Jupiter were involved in a sextile and trine to the Hyleg (Sun).

Illness – Age 3 years, 5 months
The little girl had a dangerous illness that lasted several weeks. The profection was in the 3rd whole sign from the rising sign, Virgo. Virgo holds the cusp of the 5th radix house, 17 Virgo 21. Directed Neptune was square the cusp from 17 Sagittarius 21 therefore the profected Asc is in 17 Virgo 21 and Neptune shares rulership with Mercury as Lord of the Year. Directed Neptune, which was aspecting the cusp of the 5th in the radix, is now on the profected IC and is moving with the nodal axis which it conjuncts in both the radix and by direction. Mercury, ruler of the radix and profected Ascendant is in the profected 6th and is conjunct the directed 11th, which is in Pisces in the radix and occupies the 7th in the profected. And Mercury is with the Sun who rules the profected 12th so the year speaks to the possibility of an illness.

Venus, in the radix 8th, is square Mars, ruler of the profected 8th, is possibly responsible for there being a fear the child might die. Saturn, the ruler of the radix 8th, is not active.

The illness is likely being shown by Pluto in a mitigate opposition to the Lot of Illness, Mars, ruler of the profected 8th being inconjunct the Moon (body) and Mercury, ruler of the radix and profected Asc being in the 6th with the Sun with Mercury trine Jupiter fending off the worst results even though he is weak and determined to illness being in the radix 6th. In the profected chart he is made slightly stronger, being in the 2nd and ruling two angles, the 4th and 7th.
