I agree antiscion Moon conj IC looks good for Cameroon. I'm wondering if this game might go to extra time with Moon VOC and angles, Moon and Sun in fixed signs?

Difficult to know who gets the Asc in the second game, although I like your reasoning, Andrew. Looks like the Asc team will lose with Mercury combust and retro. Colourwise, again it's impossible with a neutral venue to know who will be wearing what. Red or orange, Jupiter; white, Mercury. The game is on TV so I'll be able to check it out.

Ficina
I`m pretty impressed that you always get the number of goals right :' You must be earning hundreds of pounds if the number of goals/game betting option is available?

I googled `Football on PC` and was amazed to see there are so many sites where you can watch live football, some are free.

I put a penny on Cameroon advancing, not necessarily winning after 90minutes. The VOC and the draw, and all that stuff.

You just explained why I don't work on colours!

You noticed how I tried to made sense out of 'radical' or 'not radical'. Well, I noticed that in the Ivory Coast game, which is not radical, I didn't move away from the favourite, but I moved the favourite away from the ascendant.

I would like it if the relationship and blend between the Lhr and radical asc gave a key to how a VOC Moon may perform. There are different sorts of 'vacations'. The Moon is not void of essential dignites in the end of Aquarius, where it has a face. It also applies to the North Node, which cannot be reckoned as a complete negative.

Yes, this is quite a mind-opening contribution, Ficina. I've noticed that if the one team scores, it all ways give the other team a harder time winning! If Ficina says both teams may score this gives me a better picture of the game at hand.

I`ve given the AC to Ivory Coast but still think that they`ll probably win. Mercury is the lord of both POF and POS and I don`t see any testimony for Egypt. Mars on the MC is good for the AC team and the VOC Moon reinforces the faves because I Coast are odds on.

Tomorrow`s Championship match between Charlton and CPlace at 1945.
Odds: 2.20/3.25/2.75
Anti-POS conjunct DC and Anti-Jupiter conjunct IC(a bit wide?)
Are these sufficient for the away team to win??

That is an interesting reasoning, Gem, but Mars is peregrine and has no dignities on the ascendant. He does dispose the Lord of the hour, Jupiter, by exaltation, which might prove him with the correct virtue to 'snatch' the game.

I get all confused and upset when we can't agree whether a team is represented by the asc. or des. :-cry In those cases we seem to be judging the chart in terms of whether the favourite get's it or not. In that sense we seem to be giving the MC to the favourite and the IC to the underdog (?)
--------------------
My immediate thoughts about the Charlton game is it being played in the hour and day of Venus. The chart is proved radical by Venus' trine to the ascendant from the 4th house. Jupiter, L4, is in the 4th and casts his dexter square to POF/POS and thus in control. I see the testimonies pointed out by Gem, but can we check our thoughts on a possible draw. Maybe the Capricorn influence makes goals scarce. If no one is allowed to tread on the grass, how can they expect to score goals??? :lala

I don`t mind whatever route or road you take as long as we all end up in Rome :)

We give MC to the AC team and IC to the DC team... Is that what you do too, Andrew? Or have you got any other views on this?

The are many ways to Rome, I agree. The trouble is only when somebody compares my astrology with trying to reach the appendix though the arse, I have to consider whether there would be better ways of getting at it.

I need to make my astrology make sense. This is a must for me! Any way to Rome is welcome, but I have to be able to examine the details of the map or else I have lost my sense of direction and everything else becomes a shot in the dark!

:P I'll try this emoticon this time! Please put up with my irony and sense of humor, and thank you for keeping me on my toes! PS. I feel terrible when a football game doesn't work out according to my plan.

Thanks for looking at the chart.
Even in Capricorn, Venus is a benefic and this Venus is relatively dignified: she is the lady of the POS and exaltation ruler of the Moon; in trine to AC from an angular house and conjunct Jupiter(CP`s sig), to which the Moon is closely applying. Isn`t she also in triplicity(havent checked)? She`ll let them tread on the grass :)
Is this Venus the only reason you entertained a draw?

70
Venus in Capricorn has a way of 'paving' things (pavement=evening things out and sealing) or laying tiles, but she (Venus) is not essentially dignified. The trine is fortunate, but often 'lazy' or less energetic, or fortune comes by things being shared around, as is my idea regarding an emphasis on the triplicity concept.

Your idea, Gem, of an away win is probably the best one so far - but some times matches have trouble getting off the ground. Maybe Ficina can tell us how many goals there will be?

Venus doens`t rule the angles in this chart so I`m not sure if it can be a deciding factor in influencing the result but I agree that the testimonies for C Palace are not strong enough(that`s why I asked your opinions).

Back to the I Coast/Egypt chart, it`d require quite strong arguments for me not to give odds-on-faves the AC.

72
In support of you look for an away win for Crystal Palace tomorrow, I think is is good that POF/POS is disposed by Venus, who casts her sextile to the antiscia POF/POS on the descendant, where she has dignities by exaltation.

The Moon, who is lady of the night, applies to the sextile of Jupiter,L7, who receives her in her triplicity. There is a mixed mr between Jupiter and the Moon.

I have a problem with several games being played in Europe roughly the same time which gives the same sign on the asc. In these matches the home team is the obvious favourites : Le Havre-Grenoble, Twente-Heracles at 18.30 GMT, and Clermont Foot - Libourne at 18.00 GMT. But it is difficult to find testimonies for the home teams to win according to the asc - I believe they would have to win from the des - but I can't see whether that makes sense. The game between Charlton and C.Palace seems open in comparison, but here there is a testimony of a possible away victory.
