by Andrew Bevan Gem asked: Andrew, when you say 'Mars has to approve of the administration of Venus', is it because Venus is Detriment in Scorpio? No. If the lord of the hour shares the same powers as the lord of the hour, the two understand each other and the lord of the hour says to the lord of the hour: "Go on - be my guest!" If the lord of the hour shares the same powers as the sign on the ascendant (but not the lord of the ascendant), the ascendant says: "We can do it, as long as it is alright with my boss". It's a bit like shopping round in a store. If you have a special agreement with the store supervisor, you can do just about what what you like. You are empowered. On the other hand, if you are looking for a special deal and your approach is made to the cashier (asc.) and he/she likes you (same powers), he or she will probably say: "Alright by me, but I must still check with my boss (asc. ruler)." So the ruler of the store stays in control. It's a bit difficult, but does that explain it in any way? http://www.astronor.com Quote Wed Jun 11, 2008 6:50 pm
by amandaW Switzerland 1 , Turkey 2 It's at least radical for Switzerland/ Turkey. According to bookies, Switzerland are faves, but I'm not convinced they are Switzerland/Turkey chart very similar to Italy/Holland - chart radical (hour ruler Mars) and Mercury (L7) in 7th, just over 1 deg from cusp. Although Holland won, they are a much better side than Turkey. Maybe a draw? I'm not really sure. I think this pair of matches are interesting because although Italy and Switzerland were the supposed favs, I had a sense in both cases that the other teams would turn out stronger. In both cases there were high expectations of the favs - Italy because of their World cup performance and Switzerland because they were hosts - maybe there is something in both the charts that shows that dashing of illusions or underestimation of the competeition? 63 by Ficina That definitely makes sense, Amelia. I think Mercury (L7) in 7th shows the strength of the underdogs, but in both games I wasn't sure if that testimony was sufficient for them to win. Turkey certainly left it till almost the last minute! For my part, I apologise to Turkey for underestimating them in my analysis and to astrology for doubting that it would repeat itself Quote Thu Jun 12, 2008 9:04 am
by Gem Hi Amelia maybe there is something in both the charts that shows that dashing of illusions or underestimation of the competeition? I personally don't think so. According to bookies, Switzerland were faves last night. But in reality, Turkey are a stronger team and took the AC. The chart was radical and therefore the AC team won. My point is that bookies' faves aren't necessarily stronger or better teams as I think Seiko pointed out earlier. Thanks Andrew, I understand the concept which you explained well but I'm not still sure your reason(s) in this particular case for regarding Mars as the control planet. You said it's not because Venus was weak in Scorpio. Then was it becuase she was combust, peregrine and in the 8th? Quote Thu Jun 12, 2008 9:19 am
by Ficina Germany/Croatia, 18.00, Klagenfurt, Austria Asc 18,44 Scorpio Germany are odds-on faves. Chart is radical - hour ruler Sun same nature as Asc ruler Mars. Moon conj antiscion POF. Moon sextile Mars (L1). Looks good for Germany but will Mars conj SN, which is now less than 2 degs away, put a spanner in the works? Quote Thu Jun 12, 2008 10:37 am

by john Keeping up with the antision watch. With three result options, you'll all be interested in my predictions, so you can narrow your options down to two!! Germany/Croatia. I have Moon in the sign ruled by the 7th conjuncting the antision of POF-Croatia?? Moon aplying by sextile to L1(bodily). Draw Austria/Poland. I believe Poland are favourites? Antision. L7 in 7th, L4 in 4th and L10 in 7th-underdogs win, or does it just reinforce that the home team are the underdogs? Austria win Quote Thu Jun 12, 2008 12:06 pm
by Ficina Gem, I agree with you that Germany will win. An additional testimony for them is Moon trine Sun and, to be honest, I think planetary conjunctions with the nodes need to be within one degree (preferably within the same degree) to have an effect. Re Austria/Poland, there seems to be a confusing number of testimonies for both sides, so I'm going for a draw. Quote Thu Jun 12, 2008 3:31 pm
by Andrew Bevan Croatia 2 up against Germany! 62minutes played. Am I glad to be sat on the side line Can't get the early matches in on Norwegian televiosion. Will be watching this evenings game between Poland and Austria though. Your reasoning seems good, Ficina! http://www.astronor.com Quote Thu Jun 12, 2008 5:24 pm
by Gem Underdogs won: Germany 1 - 2 Croatia I just can't believe it! I was quite confident on this one I don't see any obvious testimonies for Croatia but John wrote:Moon in the sign ruled by the 7th conjuncting the antision of POF-Croatia This is a very interesting way of looking at it. Following JF, I simply considered it to be one of the strong testimonies for Germany. Quote Thu Jun 12, 2008 6:11 pm
by Ficina I was quite confident on this one Me too Oh well, you win some, you lose some and Croatia certainly deserved to win this one. Apart from their goal, Germany had a dreadful game. Quote Thu Jun 12, 2008 6:37 pm
