by Andrew Bevan I'd been re-reading what JF said about the antiscion PoF and just wanted to bring it to Andrew's attention because he doesn't have the book - yet. Everything you say is perfectly true. The Part of Murphy moves even faster.... it appears... http://www.astronor.com Quote Fri Jan 11, 2008 6:18 pm
by Ficina does JF say it's powerful only for anti-POF? Yes, "perhaps the most powerful testimony of all", p.84. I thought Bolton would be OK for a win but now they've just sold their top striker, Anelka, to Chelsea for a cool ?15m, I'm not so sure. Part of Murphy? Quote Fri Jan 11, 2008 6:59 pm
by john Hello all, hope I can join in the musings of football predictions. I concentrate on Cricket Predictions and Castle Beseigement, there being a post on this about twelve months ago. I must enjoy watching my predictions go wrong over 5 days, rather than 90 minutes! I don't have Frawleys book yet, will probably have it at our conference in the North West of England in March! Looking at the Sunderland(S)/Portsmouth(P) match. Which is the ascendant-the home team-(S), the favourite-(P)-just, or do I go off the colour. Asc is Gem, Mer, Aq which sound like Yellow, White and Blue-(P). Des is Sag, Jup, Cap, which sounds Red and Black(S). With Cricket I have the ability to look back and see the astrological significators when unusual results have occured and to see if observe patterns. For example Australia v India, in Australia have drawn 8 times since 1947. There are patterns in these charts which can be considered for the present games. For football I assume I should be looking for primary indications of a particular result and to see if there is anything secondary backing it up? Mercury conjunct MC(3 deg) and in its own terms Mars in 1st Retrograde Sag rules Des, Jupiter in 7th but in detriment. Next aspect trine Saturn(2 deg)? Moon in the sign of Jupiter-desc. Moon's next aspect square mars-in 1st Is it being suggested that antision should be a primary significion of the result over these factors? On balance I'd say that the desc was at an advantage-but who is it. Going off colours it should be (S). What factors suggest a draw should overide a victory? What about events within the game? Venus is 5 deg off the desc, in Mercury's terms. An event during the game? I also have POF and SNode in the 3rd, would this suggest an event during the game also? Do I stick with Cricket? 76 by Ficina Tranmere 0 Bristol Rovers 2 Well done, Andrew Hi John, welcome to the football fray and thank you for your musings It's really down to personal choice how you assign the Asc. We all seem to agree that the Desc team has the most going for it in the Sunderland/Portsmouth match. I'm not sure if it's sufficient for a win or just a draw - that's often a difficulty. I don't look at essential dignities and the only aspects I consider are those made by the Moon. Again, this is down to personal choice and the methods/techniques you choose to employ. The same applies to whether certain testimonies are more significant than others. Basically there's a lot of trial and error, and hopefully we don't lose too much money in the process Quote Fri Jan 11, 2008 10:25 pm
by Gem I'm not sure about Sunderland -Portsmouth. I forgot to add that anti-fortuna is in the H1 in the Bolton/Blackburn chart(a testimony for Bolton). I'd be more confident about their win too if Anelka hadn't left Bolton... Hi John According to JF, the only difference to take into consideration between football and cricket predictions seems to be the length of the games. As football matches only last for 90mis+ , I only look at Moon aspects within 5-7 degs(JF says 5-6degs). I look forward to more of your musings on football. Quote Sat Jan 12, 2008 10:07 am
by Ficina I'm not sure about Sunderland -Portsmouth Well, at least Redknapp's staying, after all the speculation about him taking the Newcastle job. People who bet on that have lost an awful lot of money. When the odds were 1/3 there were bets of ?3,000 and even ?30,000 Pompey have lost 4 players to the African Cup of Nations which is a little worrying. I'm still going with the 1-1. anti-fortuna is in the H1 in the Bolton/Blackburn chart I have it at 6 Aries Quote Sat Jan 12, 2008 11:36 am
by Andrew Bevan There are a lot of 1500hr games being played today, but seeing Tottenhams performance against Arsenal I wouldn't be suprized to see them put up a good fight against Chelsea this afternoon. PoF is with the South Node. The Descendant is CP, and Jupiter, L10, is on the cusp, in his own face, and applies to the trine of his dispositor Saturn, L7. I would like to see more magic from ManC. I feel there is a good psychology in the club at the moment, and the chart is basically the same as between Chelsea and Spurs. And the question might be whether Derby will loose to Wigan by default? Ficina - I decided not to touch the Bolton/Blackburn game. Welcome to the group, John http://www.astronor.com Quote Sat Jan 12, 2008 12:10 pm
by Gem Andrew I'm glad that you haven't abandoned us I wouldn't be suprized to see them put up a good fight against Chelsea this afternoon. That's a very good comment though I wish Anelka wasn't playing today. Ficina, I should have written anti-POS, rather than Fortuna, which is at 27 Cancer. 81 by Ficina Something unusual I noticed in the ManU v Newcastle chart (5.15pm today). Moon squares Venus (L4) and also sextiles antiscion Venus! Since Newcastle failed to score last time they had the benefit of a Moon aspect, I don't hold out any hopes for them this time either, but I just thought it was interesting astrologically. 82 by Gem Contrary to JF's view, I generally find Moon aspects to be impersonal although I haven't come to any conclusion as regards to conjunctions. Do you find them to work? Remembering how they played against Stoke last weekend, and with their being without a manager(probably for a long long time, I guess), I have't looked at the chart seriously. The square is through signs of long ascension, so in either way there is a trine effect. This should be beneficial for the favorites, who are the home teams. Although the moon more closely opposes POF/POS, she is in this chart L1. The Sun is in his own face on the cusp of the 7th, sextile the MC, and smiles to Newcastle. But this does occur through signs of short ascension and may have little power. Newcastle will impress me if they win! http://www.astronor.com Quote Sat Jan 12, 2008 2:20 pm
by Gem Andrew Are we looking at the same chart? I have AC at 3Leo57 POF 13 Gem and POS at 24 Virgo. Quote Sat Jan 12, 2008 2:24 pm
