by Andrew Bevan Chelsea - Arsenal The Dy of Sun & Hr of the Mercury. Virgo ascendant. The chart is radical. Advantage the favourite. The lord of the hour, asc., and 10th are one and the same planet. Mercury is in an angular house and applies to his dispositor by exaltation. The Moon is VOC, but close to Spica. If this offers protection, then there still has to be some thinking done re. the ManU-Liverpool match. [Moon opp. MC] In my opinion, POF is not combust, but it's allignment to the Sun is an advantage to the favourite - but then that leaves other messy stuff to be answered for. http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Mar 23, 2008 8:47 pm
by Ficina Interesting comments, everyone. What I found particularly vexing this weekend was that I got 5 out of 6 of the Saturday 3pm games correct, including 2 correct scores - not using astrology, but of the 4 one-off games we looked at here I only got one correct! Similar situation last weekend - 4/5 without astrology, 2/5 with astrology My only accurate observation yesterday turned out to be In the Prem today, 3 of the faves (albeit one very marginal) failed to win so it's looking very likely that one or both faves will win tomorrow. And they both won, so from my point of view, logic triumphed over astrology. Having said that, I find it much more fun using astrology and discussing it with all of you. As Andrew said, we're putting in a lot of hard work here trying out various methods and techniques and hopefully it will all come together eventually. 75 by Andrew Bevan My best bet this weekend was ?7.50 put on a triplet today. One of the games went wrong. I went into my account to acknowledge my loss, but for some reason the bet didn't go through. My account still shows ?7.50!!! I feel rejuvenated!! Moon VOC! This astrology magic really does work!!! Now I can put ?7.50 into some stupid games tomorrow instead! http://www.astronor.com Quote Sun Mar 23, 2008 10:55 pm
by john Just some rambling on the comments made over the weekend and continuing the post mortem on our predictions! I made the throw away comment that when Moon is VoC it seems to throw up either the fav winning or a draw. In recent weks this has been proved wrong, the ManU/Portsmouth cup game where the syzergy over sun/uranus was considered, also the Bristol R/Southampton cup game of 16/2 where it was either a colour issue swapping the fav to the desc, or the Moon aspecting the MC. Interestingly both these VoC games had Cancer rising and the hour of the Moon. Moon was also on angles at the same time, admitedly one was on the cadent side. I'm not sure if I am making a point on the games yesterday, both were VoC and the planetary hour matched the ascendant. Is the consensus that on the ManU game Moon on the IC but applying to anti POF(within 3 degrees) favoured the ascendant and for the Chelsea game asc ruler within 3 degrees of the desc may give control to the asc? Whether the planetary hour extends the orb of control of that planet remains to be seen! Quote Mon Mar 24, 2008 11:51 am
by Ficina I've been considering this radicality thing - at long last Andrew, you say if the chart isn't radical, this could move the result away from the fave. My thinking is that this makes it a level playing field, i.e. it's a draw unless there are testimonies for or against either side. I've revisited the weekend games with this in mind. Spurs/Portsmouth - not radical. One testimony for the faves - Moon trine POF. Spurs win 2-0. Everton/West Ham - not radical. The Moon's applying aspects were too wide to be counted. POF conj Sun is a questionable testimony. It's a separating aspect anyway, so if we ignore it completely, then there are no testimonies. Draw 1-1. If the chart is radical, then we assume the faves win unless there are testimonies to the contrary. ManU/Liverpool - radical. Moon VOC - faves win by default or draw. We're already assuming faves win, so that's a testimony in their favour. Moon conj ant POF - another testimony for the faves. Moon conj IC - testimony for Liverpool (questionable because Moon VOC). Ant POF conj IC - Liverpool. Even if we include both Liverpool testimonies, this is only two as against three for ManU (faves). ManU win 3-0. Chelsea/Arsenal - radical. Moon VOC - ditto above - additional testimony for faves. Mercury (L1) in 7th, just over 3 degs from Desc - testimony for Chelsea. (Sorry, I know I got that wrong beforehand but I was biased!) POF conj Sun - ditto above. No testimonies for Arsenal. Chelsea win 2-1. What do you reckon? Quote Mon Mar 24, 2008 12:26 pm
by Andrew Bevan I'll get back to you on that, Ficina. Maybe we should start a 'clip and paste' thread where we can collect and paste some of our best observations from all the work we do. This might sort out the thinking process. Alternately, we sort the work under various topics... I do think we are collecting a lot of material and will be overtaking other forum categories at this rate. I have got my eye on the question of radicality. I am sure I will be able to provide some new ideas before too long. http://www.astronor.com Quote Mon Mar 24, 2008 1:29 pm
by leeleelee Ficina, very good post! But can someone please explain what is a radical chart and what isnt? TIA. Quote Mon Mar 24, 2008 1:53 pm
by Andrew Bevan I did make an entry on the question of radicality under the Champions League thread http://skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewtopic ... 7&start=45 I will not post is again here. Please feel free to ask me any questions, though. You will find material I have been working on for over a decade at http://www.astronor.com/hours.htm Putting these theories to use in sports events is an attempt to shed new light on the topic. 81 by Ficina Thanks, Lee Actually I was going to ask Andrew about radicality because I've observed he's using more than just planetary hour agreement with the Asc sign (as is used in horary). This would definitely need a separate thread, so it will be easy to find when we want to refer to it. Talking of separate threads - Andrew, we do have a Review thread which hasn't been used for a while. http://skyscript.co.uk/forums/viewtopic ... sc&start=0 This was used for post mortems and other stuff, partly to avoid cluttering up the Predictions threads which get very long anyway! Perhaps we could start something similar, as you suggest. Quote Mon Mar 24, 2008 2:25 pm

What do you reckon? Yes, Ficina - you get my point. The question of radicality pushes the match in one way or the other. When the chart is not radical, then the result is pushed away from the favourite by odds - and the draw may be the correct answer. A chart not radical shows the lack of quality or celestial attunement. It is like playing a melody on a piano that is out of tune. Sounds a bit 'honky'. Stood next to the piano we may have a laugh. In horary questions, the matter enquired about brings little or no happiness. In sports events it takes the result away form what we expect - and the underdogs stand a better chance. I've got too many things going at once today. If I have not acknowledged your post in full detail - be sure I'll get back to it! 84 by Andrew Bevan Getting back to you, Ficina: Spurs/Portsmouth - not radical. One testimony for the faves - Moon trine POF. Spurs win 2-0. This game is played on the Dy of Saturn and Hr of the Moon. The Asc is 4LE51. The chart is not radical but I want to give the chart to be given some special scrutiny. The Sun, who is L1, beholds the ascendant by trine. The Moon, who is LHr, beholds the Midheaven, and Saturn - who is Lord of the Dy, has two lesser essential dignities on the ascendant. The question is what it takes to lift a chart up to a working level. I'm not quite finished with my research on this matter. One of these questions involve the part played by the Lord of the day. Does he do anything else but hold things into place? Of course he does. This is where our learning begins - with the seven days assigned to the planets. Another is regarding the blending of the Lord of the Day and the Lord of the Hour. Certain mixes seem to get up to more mischief than others, and it also comes down to knocking at the right door at the correct hour of the day. Knocking at the Baker's door for a loaf of bread in the hour of the Moon (office hours) might seem like the right thing. But is he into football? It could be that the Moon's hour has a preference for home team favourites (?) I have been baffled by variations in performance from one day to another, but that might make sense in the end. My theory is that when the triplicities are involved, things tend to get shared around, and I am interested it shows that more draws occur under this combination. The triplicity could create the 'flat football pitch', as you described it, Ficinia. When the lord of the hour and the lord of the asc are in the same sign, this fortifies the ascendant, or more primarily, the favourite. That is my first findings and thoughts, anyhow. http://www.astronor.com Quote Mon Mar 24, 2008 4:06 pm
