Yes, I did but I went for a draw I waited in vain for that late goal from Arsenal, but Fulham deserved to win judging by the radio commentary. There were a lot of late goals in the 3pm games though, so we were on the right track there, Gem.

I can't believe you forgot about ManU playing on Monday I've gone for a draw for this one. Moon opp POF, as you say, but I've got Venus as hour ruler so chart is radical.

This is difficult! I would like to say that I was wrong in giving the affinity between the lord of the hour and the ascendant to the favourite, and that it was in fact the home team who got the ascendant.

But then Deb did give Fulham the ascendant, and still went for Arsenal

Maybe the fact that Saturn, lord of the day, also ruled the ascendant by domicile, in addition to Mars, lord of the hour, disposing it by exaltation - maybe this extra virtue proved invaluable to the home team...

As I said, I think her method worked perfectly if she had left out some of the fine-tuning. This is how football charts work differently from natal or horary - in my experience at least. I'll explain what I mean.

I?m having problems taking any of the Parts seriously at the moment, (same goes for antiscia)

Moon sextile antiscion Mars within half degree - another plus point. This, together with Mars conj POF, were my reasons for thinking that Fulham might get something out of the game. I didn't expect them to get everything out of it but then I didn't take into account the additional factors that Deb was using, e.g. Jupiter. More fool me!

Sun on 8th is irrelevant I think. Not sure about the square. Restricting the number of goals perhaps? I think it might be worth taking the essential dignity of the Moon into consideration (exalted here) since it moves quickly and so is constantly changing sign, unlike Jupiter for example which will be essentially weak for the next 4 months and therefore not so relevant. Moon is in an angular house but probably too far from the IC to be really worthy of consideration.

I hope you don't think I'm being critical, Deb, by tearing your analysis apart like this, but I do like your new method and would reallly like it to work

Of course I didn't forget about the match itself It's just I forgot it was Bank Holiday as I'll be working as usual. I checked the LOH with Astrowin and Venus is indeed the LOH. I'll have to get back to the chart again to see if it changes my judgement.

I understand that the number in the right is an amount you would bet, an the number in the left how much you would get payed plus what was betted.

Example
Chelsea (2/5) Draw (10/3) Tottenham (8)
If I bet 7 dollars in chelsea, I get 7 dollars. If I put 1 dollar in Tottenham, I get 9 back.

But what means that:
Sunderland (6/5) Draw (12/5) Manchester City (9/4)
These values don?t make sense to me. I am obviously wrong in some place, as bookmakers aren?t in the business of giving money.

It suddenly dawned on me that the Moon/Saturn square perfected during the course of the ManC/West Ham game, so I went and checked....4.42pm, just before half time. All the goals were scored in the second half

As for ManC winning, if the Moon signifies the home team/fave, the separating square set them free to scamper off and score a hatful. To be honest, I'm not too sure about the Moon being the fave or the home team. I'd rather stick to it showing the flow of the game and goals being scored. The game was stymied in the first half - no goals.

Although I'm a fan of fractional odds, when it comes to betting and working out how much money you win, this is easier to see with decimal odds.

On the Oddschecker site, at the top right there is an option to switch from traditional odds to decimal odds, so then you get

Sunderland 2.2, Man City 3.25

This means for a ?1 stake you get back either ?2.20 or ?3.25. These amounts include your ?1 stake, so your actual profit is ?1.20 or ?2.25.

The way I see is that it shows how the game will go for the AC team as well as the flow of the game.

Re tonight's game, a draw is a very sensible prediction but I still think Portsmouth have a very good chance of winning.

I've decied to remain as detached and neutral as possible (like Ficina)because getting emotional is so stressful and clouded my astrological judgement to a considerable degree last season.
