I've just discovered the Leicester game ended in a draw too! Oh well, I can accept a couple of failures and at least the Jupiter teams didn't actually lose. I shall be more concerned if the Premier League games let me down since this is where my main focus lies. Nevertheless these two results today have lessened the 'spookiness' somewhat.

All the draws follow a state of perfect balance. I reckon the weight units are in a process of being redefined.

Do you mean you're going to follow their progress round the chart during the course of the game? Sounds like a lot of hard work or have you found a quick way to do it? You might want to include Victory and Successful Outcome (Increase).

I'm not quite sure what you mean but I think there are various factors to take into consideration. For example, if they are away and/or up against an odds-on favourite, then they'll need a particularly strong testimony or testimonies to get anything out of the game. In more favourable circumstances I suppose the checklist could be shorter.

The radicality by triplicity likes the draw and Venus, L10, is cazimi. Sun and Venus are trine the MC. Do we get another draw under these circumstances?

I quite fancied a draw for this one as well. Highly unlikely, given the teams involved, but with the results we've been seeing lately, nothing would surprise me.

However, things seem to be going City's way. They scored their first goal just as the hour changed from Moon to Saturn. I've also been following the Arabic parts, as mentioned by John. This is actually easy to do on the Solar Fire animated horary page (conjunctions and oppositions; not trines). The Part of Victory is applying conjunct Venus (ManC) throughout the game.

I also thought Blackburn might manage to score one goal (Moon applying trine Mars L4) but that's looking extremely unlikely now. ManC have just scored their third!

I got the result wrong but I did make a miniscule profit on Blackburn scoring one goal which gave a return of 2.50

That's a good point. The Moon (Blackburn) crossed the IC around the same time, so that was another indicator. As far as I can see, there are no bets for timing of goals apart from the first goal in each half. So it's interesting to observe what, if anything, is happening in the chart when goals are scored but getting an exact scoreline out of it would be very difficult I think.

The planetary hour changes a couple of times in most games but I can't believe this will always guarantee a goal. The same with planets crossing angles. I suppose the point is, does it happen more often than not or is it just coincidence?

I noticed that, but I am thinking about too many things at once and I want a discussion on scorelines anyhow. I've got some ideas that probably are futile but that doesn't worry me as long as people have a think. First, a football match rarely has more than 7 goals, and even THAT is a wonder. But this got me thinking about how the 7 traditional planets potentially scored points and balls were divided. When it comes to goals, it is very much like a battle where the question is 'how many bullets?' or 'how many hits? ' Where do we find this in the chart? Do we look at the lords of the 1st and 7th house? Can it at all be determined? I have a few observations on the odd game between Angola and Mali on Sunday. I've been wondering where to put them but I think I'll drop the comments here:

Angola - Mali scoreline: with Venus being cazimi, the Sun L1 gets involved in a mutual reception with Saturn, L7. The Moon is 0LI28 in the 4th house and needs 4 degrees to reach Saturn at 4LI39. The 4th house buries the contest and the result was 4-4.

In the ManC - Blackburn game Mercury is Lord of the 1st and retrogrades to his dispositor, Saturn in 4 Libra. Jupiter is Lord of the 7th and needs 1 degree to reach his own sign of dignity, Pisces. The game ended 4-1. So yes - my head is jumbled up but thank you for providing the opportunity to share it with everyone else...

I like your thoughts on the scorelines in the Angola and ManC games. Not only are they creative but they make sense. Now the thing is to test them out on future games. Getting scorelines correct is always very rewarding - in more ways than one!
