I followed Chris Brenan's podcast about this topic and added 4 different methods of calculation:

1) Medieval/Renaissance VOC method popularized by modern astrologer Al Morrison::
"VOC = Period of time when Moon does not form an exact Ptolemaic aspect with another planet until Moon steps into the following sign."
Calculation works with both 7 traditional planets and also with modern 10 (Sun-Pluto) planets.

2) Traditional/Hellenistic VOC method - Orb 30°00'

"VOC = Period of time when Moon is not applying to an exact Ptolematic aspect within next 30°00' degrees."

Such periods happen very rarely, mostly few times a year only.

Orb varies from 9.75° (Moon&Mercury) to 14.75° (Moon&Sun)

Oh, the Annual Profections wheel for each ascendant is great! I printed a copy for my ascendant, and can write in the years after age 83 should I live that long. Of course, all the features of the program are wonderful!
