Anna, on the issue of many people having the same asteroid connections when using 'bigger' planets, that's quite true, but it's a phenomenon we deal with whenever people are born on the same day.

Why do some people thrive with an aspect, and others, not so much? Often, it goes back to life circumstances and potential. Each will operate the energy according to his/her ability and prior choices.

To continue to use Hilaritas as an example, I have it conjoined the Sun, and in my circle, I'm known as a cut-up and someone who keeps folks laughing. But I am not a professional comic, and it's not something that will be incised on my epitaph. However, I might have done quite well as a stand-up, if I had made different choices. I did a lot of theater in my younger days, usually in comedies, and was well received, it just didn't gel for me, I had other interests which I prioritized.

Alex, that makes total sense of course for us astrologers, my point is only that if one wanted to submit an asteroid file for statistical screening, it would be more difficult to have the mathematicians believe in/ prove the statistical relevance of conjunctions with slow objects than with fast moving points

I think to be super-unbiased, you would have to check out some favorable asteroids, as well, for balance; not emphasizing the bad guys. Everyone will have the more troublesome asteroids somewhere.

But bias seems really hard to disentangle. One person's villain is another person's hero.

By now, I am grappling with the question of, what in heaven's name is going on? Planets are troublesome enough; but why should all of these tiny bits of rock in space have uncanny meanings for relationships and historical events?

Waybread, I also want to know how what is going on and how this is possible — which is why I wish scientists and philosophers would get involved in astrology.
All I can do is gather data — I used to be a research assistant at an embassy for 12 years, and at Time Magazine for 1 year, so I have a bit of experience in gathering data — but trying to analyse them and understand the forces of the universe exceeds the limits of my brain and ambition.

And as for the ‘evildoers’ asteroids, it was just a little side experiment. My main focus is on charts of scientists.

Also, Einstein has the asteroid Madeline conjunct Venus in Aries trine Moon. As it seems, this might have been a synchronicity with Time and artistry

Actually, unless we have different data (I have 10 JUly 1871, 23:30, PAris), asteroid Madelynho is 20 degrees before his Ascendant, so I wouldn't call that a conjunction -- BUT asteroid Madeline is conjunct his SUn and Mercury in his 4th house. And Asteroids MArcelproust and Swann are both conjunct his Venus, co-ruler of his Ascendant. (the first book in the Search for lost time series was called Swann's Way)

Have you seen asteroids that are fixed?
Like Eris moved from 6 to 24 degrees of Aries between 1950 and 2022 and being retrograde most of the year from 1973.
