On the basis of colour/favourite/home team, I'm going for Sunderland descendant.

Issue of antision Jupiter in 7th mentioned on earlier post. Don't know if this is secondary support favouring result for descendant.

Solar fire has the ascendant making an applying square to the moon. I am assuming the angles are fixed for the prediction and moon has separated from the ascendant?

Thank you all for looking at it. There is really no point in putting money on something if it doesn't work, or you can't make heads or tails out of who is the ascendant, descendant or the favourite and underdog.

I don't quite know whether to throw my hat up in the air or go out and get drunk! I seem to be incredibly messy with some of my calculations of late. I wonder whether it is the timezones or the work of finding all the long. and lat. that's doing it. My maths is much better than this.

I'll reload the correct charts. The Moon is in the 7th house, but the 1st house wins. This would be because of Saturn on the ascendant in mr with Mercury, L10, also in trine the MC.

Is that the answer??

Re: matches on 12 Jan, we all make this kind of error every now and then.
Both charts have Satrun prominent on the AC. According to JF, you'd think such Saturn would have detrimental effects on the AC teams, not being involved as a ruler of the angles. In this case, however, as Andrew pointed out, M/R with L10 might have a positive effect. The only positive testimony I see is Moon trine POF...

I can't but help be a Leeds fan, although they have struggled a bit through their recent matches. I feel that the descendant should be given the visiting team. (Saturn in Virgo in the 1st: Crewe are nicknamed -The Railwaymen). The strongest testimony in the chart appears to be the Moon, who is almuten of the 10th, applying by trine to Venus, almuten of the 7th.

But I note that Jupiter, L7, is also applying by trine to his dispositor, Saturn, located in the 1st. This particular trine is a challange to interpretation because Jupiter is in his fall and Saturn is in Jupiter's detriment. So what are the benefits?

Yes when I do Horary but the rule does not apply to event charts.

Why not? Shouldn't we be checking this up against matches that didn't deliver as we expected? I.e. the chart favours the underdog or the away team, but the chart is not radical and the favourite by odds gets it?

Charts that are not radical do not perform well and this affects either judgement or the end result, which may bring little happiness.
