The Rites of Eleusis Play by Crowley. 1 by Archaeoastronomer In 1910 starting on 19th October Crowley produced 7 plays, every Wednesday at 9pm, that channeled the 7 planets known in antiquity, he probably used electional astrology, so we may find some secrets he left behind, i have pasted below:- " Nine O’clock Ecstasies! – Nocturnal Planetary Rites a feature of the London autumn season The first of a series of seven rites, each dedicated to one of the planets, is to be held at the Caxton Hall, Westminster, on Wednesday, the 19th (Saturn night), at nine sharp. You are requested to attend in black or very dark blue for Saturn, and similarly appropriate colour-schemes in turn for the other planets. The general object is to produce in the subject a carefully selected “ecstasy.??? In the case of Saturn, you should become, as you watch the rites, austere and melancholic; in Mars, of course forceful and fiery; with Venus – but why labor with the obvious? Sufficient has been said to indicate that nine o’clock ecstasies will be an unusual and exciting experience. To obtain admission, one must communicate with the “Guardian of the Flame??? himself, in the flesh, Mr. Aleister Crowley, the poet (compared with Coleridge, Shelly, Keats, etc.), and Editor of “The Equinox,??? 142, Victoria Street. Love is the law, love under will" Links below:- https://zeroequalstwo.net/the-rites-of- ... s-part-ii/ https://zeroequalstwo.net/the-rites-of- ... -part-iii/ https://zeroequalstwo.net/the-rites-of- ... ws-part-i/ Today is 112th anniversary of Aleister Crowley's play, he says that he was trying to create a signal wave, that the audience could experience, could he have been a practitioner of some sort of "harmonics" that created ecstaties while channeling the planets and rituals? I wonder what planets were highlighted on the different weeks of the plays? I specialize with parans and fixed stars, i wonder if we have a member who can tell us the harmonics of the charts that i enter? https://www.astro.com/astrology/aa_arti ... %20so%20on. The first chart on 19th October 1910 has a very rare alignment that didn't happen again within one degree till 1993 at location, Jupiter orbits the Earth every 11 1/2 years however it takes longer to form an alignment with the Sun within one degree. The play started at 9pm, but with parans you usaully look at sunrise, sunset or midnight at location to look for electional astrology, the play started after sunset so i use actual day, as the Sun set with Jupiter, Sirius was on the I.C. which would expand the power of Sirius. https://imgur.com/42CBHBH You will probably be interested in the conjunctions and oppositions on chart below. Sun Jupiter conjunction, Mars Venus conjunction that could produce ecstasies, Venus Mercury conjunction and a weak Asc conjunction to Saturn, any comments would be appreciated:- https://imgur.com/QW2sDmK Spinal injury gives lots of time for research. 2 by Ouranos We find many conjunctions but the 4th Harmonic with a Grand Square and Angular is highlighted. Square aspects will often manifest as pressure felt within the individual to "act out" according to the planets' natures. Squares serve as a constant reminder not to fall into lethargy or become too self-satisfied. (Astro Wiki) Blessings! Quote Wed Oct 19, 2022 6:01 pm
3 by Archaeoastronomer Hi Ouranos, Thank you for your information, I used sunset as it was the last day start before the play opened at 9pm, but as i look through the parans for the day i also see that Spica was the heliacal rising star. The first play was about Saturn and there is an alignment through that day, as when Sirius was rising, Saturn was culminating, so may have influenced Crowley, parans below:- https://i.imgur.com/1itOuen.png I'm aware that the thesis below is long, but may be of interest to understanding the Rites of Eleusis play, it takes time to load up:- https://etd.ohiolink.edu/apexprod/rws_e ... ion=inline Spinal injury gives lots of time for research. William Stainton Moses – an Anglican priest and remarkable medium – proposed the foundation of a new society upon the dissolution of the Central Association of Spiritualists." https://www.collegeofpsychicstudies.co. ... -heritage/ Spinal injury gives lots of time for research.
