I did this chart a few days before my brother's final interview yesterday.

Moon being the 12th is not usually a very good sign but it is my brother's 10th house.

The moon is sextile with a Venus in the radical 10th. It is even received by house! However, the aspect has a wider orb than I'd like.

I am also worried about the Venus being conjunct with the Mars, although the Mars is dignified by triplicity and Egyptian term, and hence is not too hostile. Venus is quite uncomfortable in a fiery sign. What was your experience with a conjunction like this?

Some more background if you are interested:

The interview went just fine. He knew the answers to most of the questions. However, we suspected the interviewers didn't like one of his answers. It went like this. My brother was asked if he would report his direct supervisor in case of unapproved outside work. My brother ended up saying he would pretend he didn't know. Meanwhile, he also made it clear that he would never get involved and would remind his supervisor to get approval for any outside monetary pursuits.

The hour lord was mercury so there was agreement.

At face value, the MoonL10 applying by sextile to VenusL1 in 10th is a Yes.
But a sextile of almost 11 degrees. Will it be enough?
And Venus is slow.
My suggestion would be for your brother to take the lead and send a follow-up letter to the interviewer (after the sextile to Venus, the Moon will translate the light to MarsL7, the interviewer and a kind gesture, Venus, would be appreciated).

I am not worried too much about the Moon in the 12th as he applies to be an ambulanceman, a healthcare professional, typically a 12th house job.

Hi Amelia, I haven’t looked at hoaries for years so I am very rusty; I also remember how frustrating it can be trying to read for those close to you.

My initial reaction is that the interview will go nowhere.

The question is about your brother (3rd). The job he’s after is the 12th (10th from the 3rd) ruled by Mercury (communication) in the 9th (brother’s 7th). Believe this is showing the interview. It’s ‘final’ state is shown by Mercury in domicile at the end of Gemini…the job is in the hands of the interviewer and remains there.

Believe the chart is radical, Venus ASC ruler is conj Mars (universal significator of brothers) in the 10th of careers, professions and question is related to your brothers career. 10th is also a public house and you are publicly asking the question. The Moon, co-significator is in the 12th (brothers 10th). As well, the 3rd (brother) is ruled by Jupiter (optimism) in his 6th (work).

Wish I could see something more positive, and again, I am very rusty.

That’s excellent news for your brother! Ouranos was right, and I should have paid more attention to the applying aspect between significators. Perhaps Mercury (interviewer) being in domicile was indicating certainty?
