Recent passing of Sinead O Connor, coincided with Venus becoming invisible in Leo which suggests the passing of a famous female artist now.
The most famous song Nothing compares 2 U featured mainly her face expressing her emotions through voice & eye contact at the time her Solar Arc south node was over her Ascendant, Her South node is in Scorpio she seems to have used this medium to release her emotions trapped from the death of her mother when she was 18 years old.
At 18 her profected sign was Gemini, & her progressed mercury was over natal Venus square natal Saturn.Mother died in a car accident due to black ice.
The closest lunar eclipse when mother died was at 14 degrees of Scorpio on the South node.

It was the Neptune transit over her progressed Sun,along with Uranus & Saturn that kicked off her musical career in the late eighties early nineties
Jupiter also sextiled her MC & supported Venus by reception and a sign based trine.
Mars on the MC in Libra made her controversial,i.e ripping up a picture of the pope on live TV declaring him as evil. This Mars sextiles the Ascendant at 5 degrees of Sagittarius where Antares is close by, I have noticed that the stars Antares & Aldebaran are linked to religious themes with Antares being against the Christian faith whilst Aldebaran being for,as I heard it is linked to St Michael.

thanks for sharing.. i see they haven't confirmed the date of her death yet, but she was found july 28th in her place, unresponsive.. below is a biwheel for early july 28th transits on the outside and her natal chart on the inside - sidereal zodiac..

transit south node is very close to the natal moon, while transit jupiter is very close to the natal north node... jupiter is the 2 and 5 house ruler in the sidereal chart. transit neptune is in the general vicinity of natal saturn and suggests a long and debilitating illness... transit sun to her natal jupiter also indicates a release from all the pain..

looking at the solar return for effect here - 2022 - is also rewarding..

The chart is 'C' rated at astrodienst.

But it seems radical to me approximate.

I agree Stefan that the chart is likely not far off despite its C-rating.

O'Connor made world headlines when she appeared on Saturday Night Live on 3 October 1992, and tore up a picture of the pope. At the time she was in a Saturn profection year.

Her nativity features a Venus-Saturn square, with Venus ruling the 10th house of publicity while located in her 1st house of self/body and Saturn in Pisces in the 3rd; fitting symbolism for the fallout she received from ripping up an image of the pope on live television. (Additionally, fitting symbolism for someone who lost their mother (10th - Venus) to a vehicle accident (Saturn in 3) involving ICE (Saturn in a water sign). And check out how Mars on the MC (mother) in the nativity rules the turned 3rd and 7th or 8th (depending on your software/preferred house system)(either way, both have associations with death).

Deb - I really enjoyed the Woodruff piece. Thanks for sharing it. I like that he referenced her song "I am stretched on your grave," it's a favorite of mine and I remember including it on a few mix tapes (back then we still made mix tapes) to lovers I had at the time.

Still thinking about the C-rating Astrodatabank gives Sinead O'Connor's chart, I looked at the life "events" listed on the page devoted to her there and saw that she lost her 17-year-old son on 7 January 2022.

Her 2021 Solar Return chart features Saturn on the MC, ruling the 8th house. The Sun and Mercury together on the DESC (ruling the signs on and/or intercepted in the 5th). Mars on her natal Mercury in the 12th (the 8th from the 5th).

I spent time with her chart at the time of her death, looking at events in general, and yes I do think also that this
chart is correct.

For example in 1990 when her mega hit "Nothing compares to you" did top the lists her 10th ruler Venus in first
house was activated by progressed Ascendant conjunct Venus (10L) and Primary directed venus had by primary motion moved
to the Ascendant. ( as shown in animated chart 4 minutes/year to the 23rd year = 1990 Very sad life story with success but immense suffering emotionally, so what's the worth of that success ?

there is quite much focus on the Moon, her emotions and moon ruling her 8th house of
death. Transiting Pluto in partile square to the Moon.
(This as Moon is LOY giving more importance to Moon issues like family and psychology, changes.)
This is suggestions that her Moon degree might be correct.

(Also progressed Ascendant in square to Moon, I think also Primary directed Ascendant is squaring Moon too...)

In her distributions the distributor is Mars (5L) in detriment in Libra - Participator is the Moon.
