by Ouranos Hello Zachariel, I always read your posts and the ones of Linchi. I was wondering if you have been doing or are doing researches other than death, diseases or suicides. Anything not on the catastrophic side of a human life but even day-to-day 'events'. That could even be like taking the bus every morning. I have seen some in this section but not enough to my liking. I am thinking of something like a log book where for example what are the configurations when you leave for a trip or you are dating someone for the first time. Anything that comes to mind is fine. Also, what use do you make of other combinations other than half-sums (midpoints): Sums, differences, sensitive points. And do you look at them? Thank you, Ouranos Blessings! 3 by Zachariel Hello Ouranos, you're welcome - and your wondering is legitimate. I can assure you that I don't feast on such topics as cancer disease or suicide. The reason why I currently focus on cancer simply is my intention to show that the claims that Cemal made in his publication about cancer diseases are valid. Replicability is a very important principle in the sciences and therefore I would like to see more of such principles also included in astrology. I don't know any other astrological researcher than Cemal who uses the principle of replicability as frequent and extended as he does. But I know that opinions what astrology is, should be, differ greatly among astrologers. Some even see astrology on the same level as Tarot-card-practices . You know, I myself don't consider myself a missionary but I personally have high standards when it comes to astrology. Also one reason why I recently focused on astrological cancer examples is the fact that the claimed signifiers (NE, PL, NE/PL) are slow moving planets. This circumstance is quite convenient for astrologers because in these special (cancer) cases the exact birth times are not required and as you know there are many problems in gaining examples that privide a reliable birth time in each single case. But your objection as I have stated above of course is legitimate (astrological content with negative connotations). I take your objections into consideration for next time. To address your question about the inclusion of sums and differences alltogether with halfsums I can say that with regard to Microastrology where one needs to use ZET Geo for astrological computing, I have to say that ZET Geo is not the ultimate (and conveniant) software for the purpose of also including differences and sums. And in my personal view (according to my own astrological experience) mixing of sums, differences and halfsums make things unnecessarily complicated and also defies the important scientific principle of Occam's razor. I am absolutely convinced that with regard to astrological practice (research!) we desperately need to follow accepted scientific principles and standards, such as replicability, Occam's razor etc. Including sums and differences together with halfsums easily obscures the topic instead of clarifiying it. And when the aim, the purpose is to come as close as possible to reliable astrological predictions then the inclusion of sums, differences together with halfsums produces a nightmare. Mixing it alltogether you simply can claim everything and hypothesis-testing becomes a disaster. Believe me! Of course I know that a lot of people disagree with my point of view. I have high respect and I am very grateful for the ingenuity of Cemal Çiçek, the developer of the pool of methods, that can be summarized under the name "Microastrology". He has truly done a great job! ???? I am sure that in the future people will acknowledge the ingenuity of Cemals awesome astrological achievements. I know about a special branch of Hamburg School of Astrology, the "Freiburg" branch (Freiburg/Breisgau, Germany) where the inclusion of sums and differences alltogether with halfsums is a common practice. The leader of this group is Karsten F. Kröncke, 80, who is living in Freiburg. He has provided different kinds of special software (for Uranian Astrology), suitable for including sums and differences alltogether with halfsums. The name of the (main) software is WSL (Witte, Sieggrün, Lefeldt). Karsten also provides an astrological internet forum, called "Astrologie WSL Forum" (https://astrologiewslforum.astrax.de/app.php/portal) where people can post content with regard to Uranian Astrology. For non-German-Speakers the participation here is quite difficult because this forum only suits German-speaking people. I will consider your objections next time and try to post a content that is not as dark and grim as the cancer topic. But I can't promise because one of the important issues is the quality of the astrological data. Zachariel Quote Wed Aug 02, 2023 6:02 pm
by Ouranos The reason why I currently focus on cancer simply is my intention to show that the claims that Cemal made in his publication about cancer diseases are valid. Thank you Zachariel. Appreciate your comments and vision of astrology. My comment was not to deny the fact that NE/PL is related to cancer if that's you found out. I get it. In the Rulebook, they say 'changes which are not noticed externally', 'hidden alteration', which fits well with cancer. But as you know, there are other possible combinations as demonstrated on the Forum of Karsten recently with the 'mysterious disparition' of Hollywood actor Julian Sands where NE/PL is involved. My goal was more to widen the applications of Uranian astrology in all spheres of life, like in the earlier times where people would carry a notebook and record the time something happened. It could be as simple as 'I got a phone call at 10:12 this morning'. As for the softwares, not just with Uranian astrology but in many other aspects of astrology, we are still waiting for the ultimate program which will do the research we are looking for. Maybe some day with Artificial Intelligence. Thank you again and appreciate your comments. Ouranos Blessings! Quote Wed Aug 02, 2023 11:28 pm
by Zachariel Hello Ouranos, of course there are also other meanings for NE/PL than cancer diseases. As Cemal himself has stated on page 11 of his publication "Astrological Research Cancer Diseases" on June 13, 2018 - Citation: "Of course there are other meanings of neptune pluto connections." Your goal to widen the applications of Uranian astrology in all spheres of life fits perfectly well with the goals of the "founding fathers" of Uranian Astrology. They also promoted recording exakt times of events from everyday life. And especially Friedrich Sieggrün also emphasized the need to record geographical data as exact as possible with regard to event locations. I think all astrologers should follow these rules to record as many life events as possible including exact geographical coordinates of the event locations. These things absolutely make sense. In my humble opinion I think that astrology research will get a decent thrust when there will be astrological software available with a proper artificial module. But this will take time. For me, in my opinion, Uranian Astrology and of course also Microastrology as an advanced branch of Uranian Astrology is the most exact kind of astrology that we have today, due to the formula-based approach. Nothing beats the Rulesbook for Planetary Pictures or the Lexicon for Planetary Pictures when it comes to testing astrological hypotheses. It is truly sad that so many astrologers cannot understand this fact or do not want to understand this fact. Zachariel Quote Thu Aug 03, 2023 6:19 am
by Ouranos In my humble opinion I think that astrology research will get a decent thrust when there will be astrological software available with a proper artificial module. Think of it for a moment, our job as astrologer will become obsolete. People will simply ask John AI to provide the answer. It is truly sad that so many astrologers cannot understand this fact or do not want to understand this fact. For my own, any approach in astrology is fine as long as you gain some understanding about yourself and the Universe. Ignorance with knowledge is the same thing as ignorance without. Maybe worse. But we, astrologers, are very good at explaining events 'after the fact' and that includes all approaches. But it is true that Uranian astrology is ahead in terms of describing events. Yet, so many factors. A friend of mine, very much into theosophy is always reminding me that there are 12 answers to a question in astrology (12 signs) and he brought my attention to the fact that some astrologers are programmed to look at the past (Plato), others to look at the future (Aristotle). The more I advance in age, the more I realize I know nothing about the Universe. And the most valuable knowledge, which I hope to gain before I die is humbleness. When people turn over to you for answers, it creates an opportunity for your ego to become inflated. Helping people find the answer by themselves is a much preferred approach. Anyway, I am digressing here Zachariel. But let me know if you find out with Uranian astrology who stole your sandwich at the cafeteria! Always interesting to exchange with other astrologers. Best to you, Blessings! Quote Thu Aug 03, 2023 11:38 am
by Zachariel Think of it for a moment, our job as astrologer will become obsolete. People will simply ask John AI to provide the answer. This seems to be an overoptimistic assessment. Because when I am asking AI Bing something then it all too often produces bullshit. So for astrologers there will be still enough work to do. BTW: I just have discovered that my posting about Paul Reubens in Skyscript sparked the interest of a Germanic deity so much that she repeated it in another astrology forum (https://astrologiewslforum.astrax.de/vi ... dadcb5a72e). There you finally have your desired sums in a somewhat complicated astrological analysis. ???? For my own, any approach in astrology is fine as long as you gain some understanding about yourself and the Universe. There are many opinions about the meaning and purpose of astrology. As I have learned, certain dogmatic religious groups (part of Catholic clergy, Protenstant bible fundamentalists) seriously claim that astrology is a work of Satan that allows demons to enter the souls of people who engage in astrology. But there are also other views on this. A man I know, a retired religion teacher (Catholic) and astrologer always stated that the birth chart is "God's declaration of love" to man. Because the birth chart helps to gain better understanding who you really are and can show what God has in mind for you. Best wishes, Zachariel Quote Thu Aug 03, 2023 1:14 pm
