Chart - Will Reading This Book on Trading Help Me?

1
NOTE: After reviewing the chart, I realized that my interpretation in this post was all wrong. I have posted my updated interpretation in Post #6 below.

After a long hiatus, I am considering getting back into day and swing trading.

I came across a book on trading online. I downloaded it, but did not print it out. If relevant to the discussion, I can provide the name of the book. (Anyone curious about the name of the book can DM me.)

I asked, "Will reading this book on trading help me?"

The chart will be included at the bottom.

My thoughts:

1. The Sun (Lord of the Ascendant) and the Moon (as Co-Significator) should be assigned to me.

2. The Sun exalts Mars. The Moon is ruled by Mars. Mars is the Lord of the 9th House. This confirms that Mars should represent the book (and the knowledge it contains).

On this point, when I cast the chart, I had a bit of doubt momentarily: Should I assign the book to the 9th House (knowledge) or the 2nd House (moveable possessions)? Upon seeing the confirmation in the chart, I am satisfied that the book should be assigned to the 9th House.

3. Mars is exalted in Capricorn. Because it has essential dignity, I am satisfied that the book contains real knowledge.

4. The Moon is void of course. This shows that, even though the book contains real knowledge, it may not necessarily make a difference in my life.

5. Mercury (Lord of the 2nd House) is my finances. Mercury is in Sagittarius and is in detriment. Therefore, my finances are not as good as they should be.

6. However, Mercury has recently turned direct. Therefore, perhaps my finances will improve slightly in the future.

7. Mercury will conjoin with Mars by antiscia. This shows that reading the book may have some sort of impact on my finances. However, exactly what kind of impact is not clear.

8. Here we get somewhat speculative. Both Mars and the Sun are in Capricorn and ruled by Saturn. The question does not touch upon other people. However, Saturn is Lord of the 7th House. It is my speculation that Saturn may represent my competitors (e.g., other traders) if I get back into trading.

9. Seeing as Mars will aspect Saturn by sextile, and seeing as Mars is ruled by the Saturn, and Saturn is in Mars's triplicity, this shows that my competitors are benefiting from the book.

10. The Sun is also ruled by Saturn. This does not bode well for my possible return to trading.

11. There are those, who say that the 5th House governs speculation on the market. It is appropriate, therefore, for the Sun and Mars to be in the 5th House. This is another confirmation of our assignment of the book and the knowledge it contains to Mars.

12. I have not been able to find a traditional authority on this issue. However, my intuition is that markets should be assigned to the 3rd House. When I say "markets", I include all kinds of markets, such as the fish market, the grocery store, the supermarket, the financial market, etc. This is because the 3rd House governs one's neighbourhood, one's daily routines, etc. It is where news and opinions are disseminated and heard.

(My intuition may be affected by my Chinese-language background. If we have stretch the analogy, wells (for drawing water) should also be assigned to the 3rd House. This is because the 4th House is the bottom. A well is the gateway to the bottom. Therefore, it would be appropriate for the house immediately preceding the 4th House to be assigned to wells. In Chinese, the words for wells and markets are commonly used together as a collocution. This association between wells and markets possibly arose from the fact that markets tend to gather around wells. The Book of Change also speaks of wells.)

Of course, my intuition may be wrong. If it is right, however, this shows that I am not likely to return to trading. This is because Mercury and Venus, although they are in the same sign, will not perfect their conjunction.

13. Jupiter, being the Lord of the 8th House, is other people's money. If my intuition about assigning markets in general to the 3rd House (here Libra) is correct, then it is appropriate for Jupiter to be in Taurus. Other people's money is in the market. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with me.

14. Conversely, it may be argued that Mercury is about to head into the 5th House (speculations). Therefore, I am likely to return to trading. Unfortunately, as soon as it enters the 5th House, it will aspect Saturn, which, as we have seen, may represent my competitors. It will also aspect Jupiter, which, as we have seen, may represent other people's money. This does not bode well.

15. I note that this question was asked in Saturn hour. Therefore, the chart is not radical.

Any thoughts?

Hello Neptune,

Your question - Will reading this book on trading help me?
Your chart with no degrees is unclear as is your question.
Moon Void ? or does it apply to Neptune in the 8th? It seems to make a sextile to Pluto in the 5th.
And you ask if this book will help you. For what? To gain knowledge or profit?
Moon decreasing in light
I will postpone my judgment on this. Unclear.

Here are some guidelines
https://www.skyscript.co.uk/wealthelect.html

WHEN TO BUY OR SELL FOR PROFIT:
In elections, the 1st house and its ruler signify the buyer, the 7th house and its ruler, the seller. The 10th house and its ruler signify the price. The 4th house and its ruler, and the Moon, signify the commodity to be bought or sold.

Also use the planet from which the Moon separates as a general co-significator for the seller and the one to which it next applies as a general co-significator for the buyer. If the Moon separates from benefics and applies to malefics the seller gets the best deal. It is always best to buy when the Moon is separating from malefics and applying to benefics.

It is favourable for the buyer to have the Moon in the Ascendant, even though this is generally an unfortunate position for the Moon in elections.

It is important to fortify the ruler of the 2nd house, the Part of Fortune, and the benefics. Look for a strong 11th house, which gives benefit and gain, and a favourable Mercury, the natural ruler of buying and selling.

It is best to sell when the Moon is in Taurus, Cancer, Virgo or Pisces, free from affliction, separating from the fortunes and applying to the aspect (not conjunction) of the infortunes. Under no circumstances buy at such a time.

Best to you,
Ouranos

Hi, Ouranos.

“Chart with no degrees”? What do you mean? I am not familiar with this concept.

For the Moon being void, I was using the traditional seven planets.

My question, if expanded, would probably have been something like: Would reading this book assist me to improve the profitability of my trading, (if I decide to get back into trading again)?

(It is kind of like my earlier question on whether a teacher was a “real teacher” or not. This time it is centred on a book.)

No specific trade is contemplated. In the past, I would place several trades a day. Later on I decided to scale back on the frequency of my trades. If I get back into trading, maybe I will make a trade once every few days or once every few weeks.

Planets only - no degree position in your chart.
For the Moon being void, I was using the traditional seven planets.
You can use Uranus, Neptune and Pluto also. We have enough testimonies of modern astrologers using it and it is working.
If we take the Moon in Scorpio making a last sextile to Pluto in the 5th of trading at 29 Cap, it is not technically Void and would indicate that something is about to change regarding your question.
Blessings!

Hi, Ouranos.

You said,
Planets only - no degree position in your chart.
I included three screenshots. The screenshots are the chart, the positions of the planets, and the positions of the house cusps. Am I missing something?

In any event, I have now included a chart of the same time and place from another website.

My thoughts are that:

1. There is no doubt that the Sun and the Moon are represent me.

2. The book at issue can be either the 2nd House (moveable possession) or 9th House (knowledge).

3. Once Point #2 is determined, then it just boils down to looking at the relationship between the planet representing the book at issue and the other significators.

4. I have gone with the 9th House for the book at issue in my own interpretation. I am open to all interpretations.

5. I am not familiar with the meaning of the outer planets. However, given that Pluto is in Capricorn, and given the Moon would be in detriment in Capricorn, things can only turn for the worse, I think.

Upon reviewing the chart, I realized that my initial interpretation was totally wrong. Now, I see it as follows:

1. Mars is Lord of the 9th House. Mars is the book on trading.

2. Mars in fact connects all of key planets in this chart:

a. Sextile aspect with Saturn: Lord of the 6th House, which would be the turned 2nd House from the 5th House governing market speculations - hence, profit from trading.

b. Trine aspect with Jupiter: Lord of the 5th House, the house governing market speculations.

c. Antiscia with Mercury: Lord of the radical 2nd House, the house governing my finances.

d. Antiscia with Venus: Lord of the radical 3rd House, which would be the turned 2nd House from the 2nd House governing my finances - hence, profit from investments.

3. What is confusing for me is the reception involved:

a. Jupiter and Venus have mutual reception. Mars will ultimately connect the two. However, Mars is a book on trading, not a book on investing.

b. The Sun (representing me) will run into Venus. However, I do not have any investments at the moment.

c. At the same time, Jupiter is in Taurus, where Mars would be in detriment. This seems to bode ill - the lord of the house governing trading does not like the lord of the house governing the book on trading.

I will have to keep thinking about this.

Update

After further reflection, the answer is simple: Mars is the book. Saturn is profit from trading. Mars is exalted. Mars is also ruled by Saturn. Saturn is in Mars’s triplicity. Mars will sextile Saturn. Therefore, the book will bring profit in trading.

For further confirmation, Mars will connect Saturn with Jupiter, e.g., profit from trading with trading. Saturn is in Pisces, a fertile sign.

The conclusion: I should read the book.
