Part of Fortune

May I ask a quick question!
I believe that both nodes do not make any aspects, except for a conjunction with other planets.
So would it be correct that the Part of Fortune, even if it is, say in square to the nodes - is not read as an aspect as all aspects to the Nodes are ignored?.
Can the Part of Fortune (and indeed the other Arabic Parts) make apsects to other planets though, or is it just read on its own by house and sign, in Traditional Astrology? Is the Part of Fortune like the nodes and also doesn't make aspects? If it can what would it's Orb be?!
Thank you very much for any info!

Hi Datura22,

Astrological parts are mathematically calculated and don't emit light of any kind. For that reason, they don't have an 'orb' (which is a measure of a planet's 'soul' or influence). Planets may apply or separate from Fortune, but Fortune itself doesn't apply or separate, or cast aspects, similar to the nodes and house cusps. Traditional methodologies acknowledge Ptolemaic aspects (conj, opp, trine, sq, sextile) to house cusps and lots/parts; with the lunar nodes, conjunctions are noted but no other aspect.

you might want to challenge your belief about aspects involving the nodes, as opposed to taking someone else’s view about that.. cheers..

Thank you Wade for that information! I will follow that method!
