Bigger house?

1
So both I and my husband have been toying with the idea of moving to a bigger house for over a year now. However our finances have been tight and so is the economy. Somehow last month we have been able to get to situation were in our monthly mortgage has come down. This puts a little pressure off my head.
We passively look at houses nearby and discuss the probabilities of expanding, however finances are not making sense. I am embarrassed to invite people in our house, due to space constraints. Space is too tight. Neighbor hood has become too crowded. Not many friendly people.
I am holding off renovating current house, if I need to sell it. Why should I furnish my basement, if I want to move..incremental value will not be much for me and return on investment is only after 3 years..
Sorry too many ifs and buts here.
I simple asked: When will I move to a bigger house with less financial burden on my head.
I'm Sun in house 10 and me/moon is in the 9th house in Taurus- exalted. So exalted :-)
My money is Mercury also in the 10th house, just entering Gemini.. Just changed signs for better..showing probably the improvement in my mortgage payment. Jupiter another benefic aspects mercury, so it could should show some improvement.
New house is Mars, also in the 9th house in it's own sign.
However no significant aspects between Moon and Mars to show a change or convey a timeline.
Thoughts?

Hi Ashwsh,

The method I can think of that does not increase financial burden while still getting a new house is to rent a big house instead of buying one.

From the astrological chart, the Sun (L1 - you) and Venus (L10 - rent/other people's house) are forming an aspect with Saturn (L7 - other people) in the 8th house (other people's assets), and Mercury (L2 - your funds) is in conjunction with Jupiter (L8 - other people's money).

Although the Moon does not form an aspect with L4 - Mars, Mars is in the waxing phase of the synodic cycle, which suggests that the house will get bigger.

I am not sure about the rental and buying policies in your area, but I feel that following my idea of renting instead of buying, you have a chance to get a new house.

Ouranos,

Whether it is a new house or an old house, it is represented by L4. If you have already rented a house, then L4 also represents the rented house. In any case, the 4th house represents our living/residence place.

Thanks Wei, really appreciate your inputs.
For both me and my partner, if we can't buy then we wont rent, we would like to live within our means. Especially with me, since I lived in rented accommodation till my mid 20's, I don't like the idea of land-lord on my head constantly.
Also rentals are now as expensive as mortgages in my area and some cases even more.
I sure if not now then maybe sometime in couple of years we will get there :-)
thank you so much again.

When? The most difficult one to answer.
If we take L1 SU applying to L4 Mars, it says 12 degrees (months, years?) but before it does SA comes in the way.
And the chart has a VE Cazimi in the 10th and L10 (the street value of the house)
In May 2025, VE will reach its maximum elongation W which indicates that an important development can happen. It falls on MA (the house), keeping in mind the 12 degrees distance between SU and MA (months).
Yet, SA L7 cannot be disregarded (money issues)

Check the Venus Phase cycle below as a guide to see how your situation unfolds.

I see a very positive outcome. This is how I would judge the chart.

L2, Mercury, has just entered its own sign showing the favorable recent change in your available finances that you mentioned.

Sun (you) is very quickly applying to cazimi Venus. I see Venus as the new house and Mars as the current house.

Moon is separating from L4 (Mars) current house showing your desire to leave this house. The current house still seems like a good one though because Mars is in its own sign and in the ninth house but when Moon separated from Mars it got happier because it moved into Taurus showing you are happier to leave this house.

L10 (Venus) would be the new house, i.e. competition for the old house (7th from 4th).

Since Sun (you) are about to cazimi Venus I'd say you'll certainly get a new house. When Sun cazimis a planet it glorifies it, you'll love the new house.

Moon is also applying to MC in its sign of exaltation so I think another indication that you'll be happy with the new house.

Also as an additional consideration PoF is in Cancer (home life) in 11th showing you get your wish.

I'm not great at timing but the cazimi is one arc minute away from perfecting so I would say rather soon.

Hi Gabby,

thank you so much!
I will keep you updated on how things go. We did meet a realtor to explore our options, but we have decided to hold off till Spring 2025.
I am hoping by then market will open up more and economy will be better. Canadians can only hold mortgage rate for 5yrs unlike US where interest rate is fixed for 30yrs..so depending on how economy works and opens, will be the deciding factor.
I do want a better house and I hope every word of what you say comes true.
thank you

Hi All,

I wanted to follow up on this topic.

This month has been quite hectic. In April, we were notified that the closing of our investment property was happening sooner than expected—originally slated for September, but moved up to May.

This property has been a significant barrier in our plans to upgrade to a bigger home. Had we not invested in it back in 2019 (pre-construction), we might already be living in a larger space. However, now that the closing has been completed, it gives us much-needed clarity on our budget for the next home, and we can officially start house hunting.

Thank you, Ouranos. You were spot on with your prediction of a major development in May 2025! And with May not yet over, perhaps the perfect house will appear on the market in the next five days.

talk soon!
