U.S.-Saudi Petrodollar Deal Expires

1
I have seen some media reports:

https://finance.eastmoney.com/a/202406143103977624.html

The 50-year petrodollar agreement between Saudi Arabia and the United States has expired and Saudi Arabia has chosen not to renew it. The Saudis now have the flexibility to sell their oil in a variety of currencies, including the Chinese yuan, the euro and the yen, which will be expanded in the future.

The original petrodollar agreement was signed on 8 June 1974 by US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and Saudi Arabian Prince Fand Ibn Abdul Aziz. The agreement provided that Saudi Arabia would price its oil exports exclusively in U.S. dollars and invest its remaining oil revenues in U.S. Treasury bonds. In exchange, the U.S. provides military support and protection to Saudi Arabia.

This follows reports that the Biden administration is on the verge of agreeing a treaty with the Saudis in which the United States would commit to helping the Saudis defend their own security as part of an agreement designed to encourage the Saudis to establish diplomatic relations with Israel, proving that the United States understands the importance of maintaining a strong relationship with the Saudis.

The treaty, known as the Strategic Alliance Agreement, requires a two-thirds majority vote in the U.S. Senate for ratification. According to U.S. and Saudi officials, the draft treaty loosely mimics Washington's mutual security agreement with Japan.

I am curious as to the future course of this matter and how it can be analysed astrologically?

Common sense suggests that the US and Saudi Arabia will probably compromise with each other, right?

Saudi Arabia will not renew the petrodollar agreement. Is this news true or false?

I am the querent, and this is the horary chart.

For the event chart related to the petrodollar agreement, you can refer to James and AJ's post.

I checked my mundane charts and the only petrodollar chart in my database had a short appellation in the notes, "from Ed Tamplin.'
Chart: June 8th, 1974, 9 am, Washington DC. Asc: 06Ca13 KP ayanamsa. Moon:04Cp06
I can't remember the actual circumstances how I got this chart; I probably picked it up while following or meaning to follow some astro-conversation so can't really speak about its veracity.
Maybe someone else can chime in and verify the time with the chart they have.
Enjoy.

Add'l: Just looking at it just now, transiting Pluto is exactly on the Descendant.
When I first heard this news yesterday, I initially thought it was fake and didn't seriously verify it. However, upon checking online again today, it seems that many media outlets are reporting this news.

I still hold some skepticism about this news, so I would like to ask a horary question: Is it true or false that Saudi Arabia will not renew the petrodollar agreement with the United States? Will Saudi Arabia's oil sales no longer be priced exclusively in dollars and instead be priced in other currencies as well?

I would like to interpret this chart from two perspectives:

1. From the perspective of contract signing. This involves the 1st House and the 7th House.

Since the rumor says that Saudi Arabia doesn't want to sign, the initiative lies with the 1st House, so I have assigned the 1st House to Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia has Islam as its state religion, and coincidentally, the ruling planet of the 1st House—Venus—represents Islam.

Venus is in Gemini. I believe Saudi Arabia is considering multi-currency settlements. However, Venus is in Mars' term, and Venus in Gemini is very close to Mars in Gemini in the United States' Independence Day chart. Venus is about to enter Cancer. Cancer is the fall sign of the 7th House ruler Mars (the United States) but also a sign where Mars holds triplicity dignity.

What I can infer is that Saudi Arabia, considering its allies, will still choose to continue cooperating with the United States. To reach an agreement, the United States might make more concessions and offer more incentives to Saudi Arabia (Mars—war weapons).

I think the Biden administration might achieve the goal of renewing the agreement by offering more advanced weapons as an exchange condition.

2. Analyzing the reliability of the news.

The ruler of the 3rd House, Jupiter, is in its fall in Gemini. Gemini itself represents instability, fluidity, and highly changeable information. The Moon is in the 1st House conjunct the South Node, which might signify the expiration of a contract (the Moon rules the 10th House and also represents the event itself). The Moon is applying to the Gemini Sun, and the Gemini Sun is conjunct Mars in Gemini in the United States' chart. I think, on one hand, this indicates that the matter will soon be clarified and we will get a clear and visible answer. On the other hand, it seems to further confirm that Saudi Arabia (the Moon) will continue to cooperate with the US dollar (Gemini Mars).

Hi,

true or false is not a very common question (at least in my practice) but this time, given the actual political and economical situation worldwide, this question looks very intriguing.
According to John Frawley the most important condition is the position of the Lord of the third house which, for the news or rumors to be true, should be in a fixed sign AND in an angular House.
He doesn't give much importance to the Moon and her dispositor, but he agrees to look at the Lord of the first house and its position, be aware that he has changed his mind on this matter after the first edition of his book on Horary.
Jupiter being in Gemini in a succedent house says the news is false, Venus being in Gemini and cadent says the same.
Even W.Lilly says that when the lord of the Ascendent is cadent the news or rumor is false.
To follow W.Lilly is not that simple as he takes in consideration too many variables, often contradicting, that you will never be able to sort out a clear answer (but most likely this is due to the nature itself of the question).
I also consider important in this horary that the dispositor of both Jupiter and Venus is Mercury which is the less reliable planet of the zodiac and often taken to represent lies and liars.
On top of that both Mercury and Venus are combust and according to W.Lilly "if the lord of the Ascendent be combust or under the beams the matter is kept secret and few shall ever know the truth of them(rumors)"
Well, this is just my take on it...
Regards
