Keir Starmer - New UK Prime Minister

1
Sir Keir Starmer will become Britain’s Prime Minister this morning after the Conservative party suffered a landslide Labour victory in yesterday's general election. The official appointment will take place this morning—first, Rishi Sunak will meet with King Charles to tender his resignation; immediately after that, Starmer will meet with Charles and be asked by the King to form a new government. This meeting is historically known as "kissing hands," although nowadays, the two respectfully shake hands instead.
At that point, Starmer is treated as the New Prime Minister. Once the time is known, I'll add it to this thread.

We don't have a time of birth for Starmer, unfortunately, but even without that it was easy to observe the astrological signature of Rishi Sunak failing (e.g., tr. Saturn sq n. Saturn / Uranus on Sun and opp n. Uranus) against the more Jupiterian Keir Starmer ascending to take the Prime Ministership of the UK, bringing a swing from the right-wing politics of the Conservatives (Tory party) to the more left-leaning politics of Labour. This fits the theme of the UK ingress for 2024 which had the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction on the IC.

That's right - it is marked on the chart wheel as a noon chart. It uses local noon, BTW, so the Sun is exactly upon the MC. We must forget about any of the house cusps shown here and note the configurations instead. For example, right now, Jupiter at 9 Gemini is activating the natal Sun-Pluto opp Jupiter, and Jupiter was strong by angularity on the IC in this year's Aries Ingress. So that alignment in his chart is plugged into his commencement as leader and further lifts or knocks to that are likely to play out as Ministerial successes and tensions, etc

the palace handshake chart at 12:17 confirms the ‘loveless landslide’ the press call the massive win after his voter base increased only by 1.6% from last election but the silent conservative abstainers punished The Tories and cooly gave him the landslide by their absence.

there is the 9th taurus with intercepted jupiter in gemini, representing the inactive voters who didnt do their legal obligation and venus combust gifting the absent ballots that cant be found.

the fourth house again though reminds us with its Rx ruler dispositing to intercepted jupiter that a lot of his premierships relies on previous historic piscean fruit salad.

the jupiter intercepted in 9th probably has got to be the civil service and laws process that house of lords is sure to play ling pong with.

i feel here that he is the recipient of the event, not the instigator, so therefore the 7th house represents him and his mars in taurus bears witness to his ‘building brick by brick’ undertaking.

yes ai can see the venus still combust for another six years. it seems fair given the large mess.

the way i see it, the ''war'' party won... both starmer and sunak want more money spent on defence.... the military industrial complex stays in control, regardless of the ''changing of the guards or party affliliations' here...

the chart calli shares is a bowl chart with the mercury-pluto opposition on the edges of the bowl.. a very fitting astro set up here as i see it..

his chart also confirms exactly his relationships starting with his wife! its quite amazing! she comes across as a firebrand…. mars sq moon! amd a. few more just like her in the cabinet!

his kite is strong, tight and exceptionally well connected…except towards his wife and other close relationships which are included via a square from mars to the stellium. the square also shows support to him is not willingly given, nor does it come naturally or effectively.

its not only his wife that is reflected here with the mars square. its also his close work relationships…and now his cabinet. when he said ‘my government will fight every day until you believe again’….. is 100% true. they will fight. him and each other! just as his wife doesnt support his political career and actions, neither will his cabinet.

we all already know this. it shouldnt be a new disclosure. its part and parcel of his libra stellium to have this difficult people contrary to his intent and goals and integrate them. so its going to be a task of herding cats.

but he is practiced at this so he knows how to do this. he is a wildcat and master crafter himself with that uranus pluto smack on his sun trine and sextile and opposition jupiter to add in fuel to supercharge him!

we may be surprised as the days and weeks move on.

For British astrologers it is frustrating we never get an exact time for the formal shift of power in the UK in the so called ''kiss of hands'' moment when the new prospective Prime Minister presents him/herself to form the next government. This is constitutionally, the moment we get a new Prime Minister. Yet we have this veil of secrecy with any meetings between the Monarch and Prime Minister.

Historically, its a matter of constitutional precedent for the Prime Minister to meet with the sovereign each week. But the content of their weekly discussions are kept strictly private. Historically, it would have been fascinating to be a fly on the wall to listen in on some of those discussions. Queen Victoria apparently couldn't stand Prime Minister William Ewart Gladstone while the relationship between Margaret Thatcher and Queen Elizabeth was reportedly at times tense. Especially, over issues close to the late Queen like the Commonwealth.

The only concession to the modern era to the shift of power being recorded is a photo being issued to the press. Previously, when Queen Elizabeth II was the monarch the room was arranged with a clock nearby. I recall much previous astrological debate on what time the clock in picture showed! However, the latest photo has no clock in the background.

We know Keir Starmer and his wife entered Buckingham Palace at 12.02pm. Its customary for Prime Minister's to wait several minutes to be presented to the Monarch.

Deb's cites a time of 12.17pm for the release of the official photo of Starmer meeting the King by the BBC. I have also seen 12.18 cited.by Pam Crane. This presumably took a few minutes to organise. So I would suggest a time of 12.10 BST or 12.15 BST are reasonable assumptions.

After the meeting with the King, Keir Starmer and and his wife made their way to Downing Street. The chart for his speech outside 10 Downing Street is (12.42 BST) is very interesting. The chart angles are almost exactly, on the 1801 chart for the United Kingdom with the Moon also in Cancer as in that chart. We have the Moon in its domicile applying to New Moon phase. Whether combustion is a serious debility is an interesting issue. Ancient sources claimed planets were protected from the worst effects of combustion in their 'chariots'' i.e. essential dignities. The Moon in Cancer is even more pronounced here as it not only squaring the ASC-DESC angle but also is in the bendings ie square the Lunar Nodes. The Moon is also near the nonagesimal. The South Node falls in the first house. Perhaps a symbol of the low key reserved personality of Starmer and his approach to politics. Perhaps also a reflection of the national mood. While Labour have won with a landslide in terms of parliamentary seats the national atmosphere has been quite subdued and seems a good deal less upbeat than other Labour victories such as 1997. Neptune is close to the DESC. A reflection of the total disarray and wipe out the Conservatives and other political opponents find themselves in. Moreover, Lord 7, Mars in its sign of detriment is in the unfortunate 8th house of loss. Jupiter is trining the chart ASC.

The dwarf planet Ceres is is exactly opposing the Sun in this chart. Ceres can symbolize the feminine, nurturing, growth, and abundance. In Roman religion she was also linked to cycles of loss and return. Ceres was a deity worshipped by the ''plebs'' or common Romans as opposed to the Aristocrats. Despite his title and distinguished career prior to becoming an MP Starmer has very working class roots. Intriguingly, Starmer has Ceres tightly conjunct his natal North Node. Starmer, is also putting women into several senior cabinet positions including amongst others Rachel Reeves as the first female Chancellor of the Exchequer, Angela Raynor, the Deputy Prime Minister, and Yvette Cooper as Home secretary.

However, Ceres has links to the other end political populism on the right too. I think that opposition is also reflected in political forces like the new Reform party under Nigel Farage which may prove a threat to the Labour party in the longer term as they have already been to the Conservatives at this election. . Thats a theme I will explore in another post.

Hi there - unfortunately I lost a complete post trying to save the message. I won't try and recreate the full text as it will take too much time.

These are key observations Mark - many thanks for making them.
Of additional note:

There has just been a lunar nodal return to the 1801 chart, bringing eclipses over the last year into play.

S/L Type Date Moon Magnitude Saros
Solar Total 20/04/2023 16:17 29°53' Aries 1.014061 129 7 North
Solar Annular 15/10/2023 06:59 21°10' Libra 0.952828 134 7 South
Solar Total 09/04/2024 06:17 19°22' Aries 1.057476 139 8 North
Solar Annular 03/10/2024 07:45 10°02' Libra 0.933371 144 8 South
Solar Partial 29/03/2025 23:47 08°54' Aries 0.937980 149 9 New North

These eclipses are all in the 1801's first and seventh houses, and are square to key axes in the 1801 chart - namely Sun in Capricorn, Moon and MC in Cancer.

The first in the final degree of Aries is square (out of sign) to the 1801 Jupiter in Leo, and would have been picked up by tr. Pluto in very early Aquarius at the time. A study of these eclipses would be instructive in the political context of the UK over this period of time.

In my view, the wider view here is of Pluto entering the final phase of the return to its natal position in early Pisces in the 1801 and 1066 charts. Pluto enters Pisces in around 2043-2044. The years between now and then will likely be ones of increasing turbulence in the country. The power and intensity of a natal mundane Pluto return is evidence by the circumstances in the USA at present.

Hi - some further thoughts. When I put together the original post, I was thinking that the eclipse of March next year is going to be a critical threshold for this government. At 8 AR 45 the eclipse degree will be square the lunar degree in the speech chart and the closely square the UK 1801 Sun/MC/IC. It seems to me that this is a tight window for the government to make an impression before the electorate begin to lose patience. It may also be clear at this point that there are very difficult paths for the UK to move forward, none of which are electorally palatable.

There is no confirmed birth time for Keir Starmer. However I have made a provisional rectification to 18:20. This is based on using diurnal charts and transits to diurnal angles, and the passage of natal planets across diurnal angles for key dates in Starmer's life.
