I've recently been going down the rabbit hole of medical astrology.
There's this table of body parts according to certain planets in certain signs (at the end of this post). I think it's from Lilly, though I wasn't able to find the exact source, at this moment.
Astrologer Tania Daniels also refers to the table in her article on decumbiture (middle of article - blue table):

I've been scratching my head as to how to use the table though.
It seems that I should check which planet afflicts the native in the horary/decumbiteu/natal. Regardless of whether it afflicts the native as being L6, as casting a hard aspect to L1/Moon or as the dispositor of L1/Moon.
Then I suppose I need to consult the table and see which body part, that planet in that sign, represents.
This may be the afflicted organ/ body part.

Also, it's not 100% clear whether it negates the simple delineation of that planet in that sign and house, as is.
Say Saturn in Scorpio is L6. In such a case should I suspect there's a saturnine problem in the reproductive system, gynecological origin, sexual organs (Saturn in Scorp) or go to the aforementioned table and enquire about a problem in the knees, lower legs or thighs.
Or maybe both... Not sure.

A final note: I think that besides Lilly, Culpeper used this table too.

In horary L6 is not the sickness. I recommend reading Oscar Hofman’s “Classical Medical Astrology: Healing with the Elements” to clarify. And I do not think that a natal chart can tell much about an acute disease.

You are right.
According to Oscar Hofman's method L6 isn't necessarily the sickness, that's why I've wrote:

That has nothing to do with the primary topic of my post though.

I do not use this table but limit myself to the significations of planets mostly and to a minor degree to the assignment of signs. Apart from that I act as you described combined with direct perception of the person in question.

If you are referring to the table, simply count from the planet's domiciles to it's current sign, in zodiacal order. E.g., Mars in Taurus. From Aries to Taurus is 2 signs, Throat. From Scorpio to Taurus is 7 signs, Kidney.

If it's about delineation, then it ultimately varies based on individual practice.

Yes, it comes from older works than Lilly's but the table is presented by Lilly on p.119 of his Christian Astrology, and the use of it is explained on the following page. I think what he writes there is clear enough since he gives examples of how it is used.

I suppose it could be used for any medical astrological chart delineation; horary, decumbiture or natal.

My guess would be, that it's in his An Astrological Judgment of Diseases.
