Did a little research on the subject, by reviewing the previous transit of Neptune in Aries (1861-1875).
Here are are some historical trends which were prominent during that time:

- American Civil War (1861-1865).
- Abolition of Slavery in the US, as a result of the above.
- Unification of Germany and of Italy.
- Colonialism in Africa, and not just there.
- Japan is forcibly opened to trade with the west in 1868.
- The "Great Game": Russian-British rivalry in Asia.

Hi Dima, thank you for your thoughtful summary of world events during the last Neptune Aries Ingress period. Taking a look at the symbolism of the two charts computed using Astro-seek, which sets them at 0N0 0W0 (somewhere in the North Atlantic) and so applicable to the world as a whole rather than a specific country there are a number of interesting differences:

• the 1861 chart has the majority of the planets in the Western hemisphere - events are reactive, events are responsive to existing conditions while the 2025 chart has the majority of planets in the Eastern hemisphere - events are proactive, events are attempts at shaping conditions
• in the 1861 chart Neptune is in the 5th house, associated with children, risk-taking, enjoyments or possibly freedom to enjoy life, a willingness to gamble while in the 2025 chart it is in the 10th, the house of ruling authorities, kings, presidents, dictators, empires
• in the 1861 chart Mars dispositing Neptune is in the 7th (conflict) with the Moon (common people) and Uranus (new ideas, disruption) and it rules the 5th (freedom) and 12th (slavery, prisons); people are willing to try new ways to improve their conditions and willing to openly (7th) battle for them; in the 2025 chart, Mars is in the 1st (people) with Fortune (wealth) and rules the 5th (freedom) and 10th (authorities) - those in power are willing to battle (Mars) for the freedom (5th) to acquire the people's wealth (Fortune)
• in 1861 the people are ruled by Jupiter in triplicity in the 9th, partile trine Venus and trine the Sun, both in the 5th with Neptune and so they are optimistic about altering their conditions thru laws; in 2025 the Moon rules the 1st and is not in good condition, Mars is in a close (1°) square to the Moon (people) with the Moon peregrine in the 10th and USB and in a mitigated semi-sextile (conjunction) with Saturn who's in the 9th and partile sextile Uranus in the 11th; which could indicate authorities using new tactics, forms of government (11th) to tightly control people's opinions through religion or law but the Moon may also show people being blind (USB) to the authorities real intentions; this is also possibly being indicated by Mercury in Fall and retrograde elevated in the 9th ruling the 12th (prisons, slavery) and 3rd (education, communications)

So its possible that themes related to 1861 may show their heads but in contrary ways; new battles (Mars) over ideals (Neptune) but initiated by the authorities against the people rather than the people against authority.

Maybe revolts, mass movements, and social disorder based on wealth inequality.
That Mars is not just in the 1st, but it also squares L1, the Moon. Which may make it extra important.
They are in mutual reception in fact (mar and moon).
It's funny, as it seems that my delineation here is somewhat the opposite of yours

We have less of that in the 2025 chart. Plus we have Sat in the 9th, as if some nations/ peoples would try to reverse globalization, and aspire towards isolationism. The US mainly comes to mind. Also, maybe something like Brexit, only in other countries. And L9 is in 'local' Gemini in the 12th of 'shutting oneself away from the world'.
This is also contrary to the 90s and 00s trend of an ever more globalized world (a "flat world").

The 1st, 5th, and 9th are Life houses (according to Zain) so over the years I've somehow come to connect them with freedom; I guess because I associate their positive events with being free to move, to pick one's enjoyments, and to think as one likes; off hand I can't think of a traditional source reference.

I approached it as the 10th reaching into the 1st to produce honours, higher positions of authority, etc. with a strong interest in utilizing the people's wealth given the Mars/Fortune conjunction; the MR, to me, would indicate the people are cooperating in this possibly because they think it will raise them up as well. So I'm reading Mars as signifying the actions of authorities (Sun) more so than of the people but I see your point, as Mars can just as easily be stimulating the Moon to act aggressively. Although there's a rather passive (Cancer)/aggressive (Aries) feel to the whole thing, especially with both Moon and Mars western (rising after the Sun).

Agreed, a lot of people did move to foreign countries at the instigation of their governments; the British Raj in India comes to mind, and the French in Algiers.

Saturn in the 9th would appear to raise restrictions on foreign travel; certainly the news has recently carried stories of European countries clamouring to slow tourism.

On a positive note, I was just flipping through Andre Barbault's Planetary Cycles and he mentions a Saturn/Neptune conjunction (there will be one at 0 AR 45 on Feb 20, 2026) and says it is "at the central point of an encouraging double sextile to Uranus and Pluto which are trine to each other. It will probably be a change for the better"
Hopefully he's right.

regarding andre barbaults book and views, i wrote this about a year ago, triggered by barbaults commentary.. it would be nice if the dynamic in israel or ukraine was to turn into something positive, as opposed to a continuation of war... both countries seem fragmented or fractured at present.. it is also showing up in the voting choices of many people in europe, including the vote in germany the past day.. apparently wanting to stop the war in ukraine is considered ''far right''... clearly the media today is capable of living in orwells 1984 without any shame..

Saturn at the Aries Point cannot be separated from the interactions with the other planets. There is not a 'one size fits all'. At best, we can try look at separated pieces of the puzzle to try to assemble a seizable picture.

With Saturn/Neptune at the Aries Point, it symbolizes the 'sacrificed lamb'. Saturn wants to exclude while Neptune wants to include everything. Who or what will be sacrificed is hard to say at the moment but old habits and functioning will be lost in the ethereal world.

2 important leaders in the world Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping have a Saturn/Neptune conjunction in their natal chart suggesting that they will be key players in this transformation.

If we take the last Uranus/Pluto conjunction in Virgo in the mid 60' launching the computers, the UR/PL midpoint at the Aries Point is telling us that the world is becoming conscious of all the technological changes. At this phase of the cycle (waning) from the original conjunction, human beings will search objectivity and conscious understanding of what is going on.
Rudhyar reminds us that objectivity and acceptance leads to detachment meaning 'breaking the spell' so to speak leading to a larger picture.

Alfred Witte equates this to mutations, jumps, changes and transformations which start suddenly like an electrical shock, surprising and unexpected.
At the same time with Neptune and Poseidon combination at the Aries Point, it adds a flavor of disbelief and uncertainty. Real vs Fake.

Zeus/Admetos = to face new problems in general. A new beginning, new environment, new circumstances. It suggests some raw materials from the soil or artificially created from the ground up.

These are some hints. Buckle up as Neptune in Uranian astrology represents airplanes.

Indeed. One apparent problem is that, just like in the time of the American Civil War, this time around Uranus would be entering Gem, together with Nep's ingress to Aries.

About the Sat-Nep cnj in 0-ari. It does seem significant.
My hunch is that it can symbolize a restart, or desire for a restart, in terms of many institutions and world realities.
Many people are unsatisfied and would like to start things from scratch, or retire old systems and institutions, in favor of new ones.
This is inherent in the symbolism as Neptune may create despair and disappointment with current realities (Saturn).
A few examples are: democracy as a system of government, the capitalist system and neoliberalism, which lead to ever growing wealth inequality in today's world. Also institutions like NATO and the UN seem to be on way to be reformed or replaced.
Probably the Pisces to Aries shift is also a move from globalism to isolationism, not just with Brexit and Trump's possible return to office, but in general.
Maybe real estate prices would crumble as well with that influence from Neptune onto Saturn. Something like what prompted the 2008 financial crisis in the US.
It's interesting that Saturn can signify walls and Neptune, the oceans. Like in the Netherlands, probably countries would have to invest in sea walls, due to global warming and the rise of sea levels. Needless to say that the cnj is happening in a fire sign, hence global warming.
And probably this Saturn-Neptune combination would lead to increased anti-immigrant sentiment. As Neptune may signify the helplessness of refugees, immigrants and those escaping from less well to do locations on the globe. Contrasted with Saturn in Aries, which may signify the conservative streak of many governments, and them adopting various means to block or deport migrants, even if it's done by force.

2 The interpretation does not depend solely on the astrologer but on the one who receives it and acts according to his belief system.

The power of 3 is a renowned writing principle. Think of a famous phrase or slogan and most likely it is structured in three. Stop, look and listen. When I was skydiving, our instructor reminded us to open up our safety parachute 'Look, pull, punch'.
Astrology has a lot of books deciphering aspects between 2 planets.
But what if you start reading 3 planets instead. Best example is the last Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto conjunction. Very powerful isn't.
Planetary configurations (Grand Trine, T-Square and so on) is the closest approach astrologers can start to investigate more than 2 planets. In fact, there is always a relationship between pairs of planets in the sky. The midpoint can be occupied by another planet or it can be empty but it can become occupied by a transiting or progressed planet.
And yes, I always check them. They tell stories you cannot see otherwise in the chart.

Once you start working with midpoints, Ebertin and the Rulebook are all you need.
