We are currently under the conjunction Uranus/Pluto of 1965-1966 in Virgo.
The last time we had this conjunction in an Earth sign was in 323 BC, some 2,288 years ago!

The conjunction in 323 BC saw the death of Alexander the Great.
The Partition of Babylon sets out by Perdiccas who manages the division of the territories conquered by Alexander the Great between his generals.
The Diadochi (lit. Successors) fought over and carved up Alexander's empire into several kingdoms after his death, a legacy which reigned on and continued the influence of ancient Greek culture abroad for over 300 more years.

Athens surrenders in the Chremonidean War following a long siege by Macedonian forces, Antigonus II Gonatas (a Macedonian Greek ruler) re-garrisons Athens and forbids the city from making war. Athens remains the seat of philosophy and learning in Greece.
The heritage of Alexander the Great comes to an end.

The waning square between 217 to 215 BC, Philip V of Macedon (king of the ancient kingdom of Macedon) and Hannibal negotiate an alliance under which they pledge mutual support and defence against Rome. A period of agreements between dictators.
By the time of the next conjunction in 182 BC, Hannibal pressed by Rome to surrender, he poisons himself to avoid the demands and the betrayal of Rome. And Philip V of Macedon dies soon after.
