A true scientific approach to astrology would be to start looking at the sky again with our eyes.
Steiner said that human beings have become like moles and the Earth instead of the sky is now our playground (Tropical). We look at the stars from our screens. The aim, he said, was to discover our freedom and that the sky lives in each one of us. (Sidereal).
Today, more than just the fixed stars and the constellations, the whole sky has become silent to our understanding.
Elizabeth Vreede explained how life on Earth has been shaped similar to the constellations. This is the envelope. And the Sun with the seasons has given life to this envelope.

Another interesting indication given by Steiner is when he said that the first color which has appeared in human history was purple or violet.
Technically, the short wavelengths that scatter across the sky correspond to the colours blue and violet, making the real colour of the sky a bluish purple. However, the cone cells in our eyes that detect colour aren't very sensitive to violet, so we see the sky as blue.
To me, it is symbolic of our falling from the sky.

steiners sun is caught up with the saturn-uranus square.. it is closer to the square of uranus then the opposition to saturn... it is waxing into uranus and waning away from saturn...

I have a whole collection of books from Steiner but to be honest, I don't know which one to recommend. So vast.
Maybe Elizabeth Vreede, a contemporary mathematician and astronomer of Steiner who explains his vision better than Steiner himself.

For most of what we know in astrology from the Ancients, astrology has evolved so much in the past 30 years that we need more than the traditional planets to better understand and explain the world we live in today.
Our consciousness has entered another level.
For example, of Orion's belt asterism, Steiner said "If you could see entirely the Orion nebulae, you would perceive like 2 sixes eating each other. You have a world which is disappearing and a new one being born."
This nebulae looks like an embryo where the spirits write the scriptures of humanity, sort of an akhasic record or a birth room.
Doing astrology today is like trying to assemble a giant puzzle which is in constant expansion.

regarding the last half of your post, i have mixed feelings about that... hoping for astrology to answer all the questions of the universe is a fools game.. adding more objects to the mix only adds to the confusion as i see it.. cheers james
