Australian Federal Election 3 May 2025 1 by SadgeSun It must be the season for elections. Following Canada's election on 28 April, Australia will head to the polls on 3 May. Australia's current Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese, is a Pisces Sun, born 2 March 1967, Camperdown, Sydney, NSW, Australia, time of birth, unfortunately, not confirmed. The Opposition Leader, Peter Dutton, 18 November, 1970, Brisbane, Qld, Australia, also another unconfirmed time of birth. Both Water Suns. I haven't examined either chart closely for that day except I did notice straight away that Albanese will be experiencing his Mars return (6 Leo). The Albanese government was confirmed on 23 May 2022 and he is seeking a second term. More to follow. Quote Thu Mar 27, 2025 10:55 pm
Re: Australian Federal Election 3 May 2025 2 by SadgeSun I am pretty sure this will be a very short thread because without the birth time for the current Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese, and the Opposition Leader, Peter Dutton, it’s a sketchy analysis at best. Albanese does appear to have a swag of mostly positive transits on the day of the election, but which house they are taking place in is unknown. His Mars return (6Leo) is almost to the minute. His natal NN is closely conjunct the transiting Moon at the time the election closes on the west coast. Transiting Jupiter closely squares his natal Jupiter, transiting Uranus closely trines natal Venus to name the ones that jumped out at me straight away. Overall his transits look promising, but who knows. There are challenging transits there, too, but it appears the Opposition Leader has more challenging transits on the day. Dutton is currently going through a tr Uranus opposition natal Sun. That is always going to test an individual. Also tr Saturn is approaching an opposition to his natal Pluto, another tough one to endure. Dutton will probably experience a Lunar Return on the last day of the election with the tr Moon reaching 29Can when the polls close on the west coast. Liz Greene uses the 1901 chart for Australia: 1 January 1901, 1.25 pm GST, Melbourne with a 10.03 Cap Sun, a 20.20 Tau Moon, a 21.24 Aries rising and a 24.24 Cap MH. As I said at the start I think this will be a short thread unless I can find some confirmation of birth times for the two main candidates. I’ll keep digging. Quote Sat Mar 29, 2025 1:56 am
Re: Australian Federal Election 3 May 2025 3 by janegca Hi SadgeSun, I know absolutely nothing about your politics so please take with a grain of salt. Without the candidates natal charts you might want to try looking at the Aries Ingress chart for Canberra and compare the 10th (government) and 4th (opponent party). 2025-Aries-Ingress.png Viewed 6561 times 90.53 KiB At a quick glance, Cardinal Libra on the cusp of the Asc looks like something new is coming. Venus (L1, ruling the people) is in the 6th of employment, work with the Moon (people) in the 2nd (people's money); and the Moon seems to be transferring the light of Venus to Mercury (L9, L12) so possibly 6th, 2nd, 9th, and 12th house matters are all on people's minds. The Moon also rules the 10th (current PM) with Mars (L2, L7) in the 10th; conflict in current the government over the national economy and relations with foreigners? As Mars is in the 9th from the 2nd international trade may be an issue, and being in the 4th from Aries on the 7th, conflict with the opposition party. Saturn rules the 4th and it too is in the 6th (3rd from the 4th) in Pisces; are they talking about a better social net (Pisces)? The Moon (current PM) is averse to the 10th (inconjuncts falls in 9th and 11th). Saturn is trine Mars in the 10th so perhaps the opposition have a better chance at winning? ---------------------------- "I can calculate the motions of celestial bodies, but not the madness of people.” —- Sir Isaac Newton https://archive.org/details/@janegca Quote Sat Mar 29, 2025 8:10 pm
Re: Australian Federal Election 3 May 2025 4 by SadgeSun Thank you janegca. Your skillset at analysing charts is far more advanced than mine. I welcome your input. Astrology aside, the general consensus is that the new government will be a minority government and one of the major parties (it's a duopoly) will need to rely on support of the Greens, independents and a group called Teals (referring to the colour [blue] of the conservative Party in Australia [called Liberals] and the Greens Party). The Teals made major inroads into our Parliament at the last election. The Greens party in Australia will never support the Liberal (Conservative)/National Party). The Teals are mostly made up of ex Liberals. Politics in our country is changing shape. Our Opposition Leader, Peter Dutton, is a fan of Trump's style which may assist the Labor Party, the current government, given how unpopular Trump's actions have been in just the few months he has been in office. I follow your posts and James and enjoy learning from them. Quote Sat Mar 29, 2025 8:34 pm
Re: Australian Federal Election 3 May 2025 5 by james_m sadgesun i am impressed with the level and quality of astrology coming out of australia... i'd be curious what some of the top astrologers in aussieland say... is alice portman still active? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2025_Aust ... l_election i like looking at noon charts for the candidates, in the absence of a birth time... here is a noon chart for anthony albanese in tropical zodiac, shown below.. https://www.astro.com/astro-databank/Al ... 2C_Anthony Anthony Albanese.jpg Viewed 6550 times 71.97 KiB it is kind of like a seesaw or splash chart as i understand it.. the planets from venus to jupiter on one side and the planets from mars to pluto on the other side, with the 2 loose cannons - moon and neptune in the middle... probably marc edmund jones who say it is a splash chart - looks of diversity and spreading oneself out and having an interest in many areas.. the sun is in-between 2 benefics - mercury and jupiter.. meanwhile he has a sun opp pluto, so has to be careful of power struggles with others.. i know nothing of aussie politics and don't know the history here.. he might be prone to looking for enemies or those trying to subvert or undermine him - that is a classic sun-pluto opp type thing to come up as i think of it.. in some respects having the 2 politics planets - jupiter and saturn nicely located in the socially responsible signs of pisces and aquarius is helpful.. i think his motives might be positive just considering that.. sun in trine to neptune would be helpful politically as well and he might be more supportive of social welfare type programs with this and jupiter in pisces.. a lot is going to depend on his actual time of birth.. the ascendant is critical here and just exactly where the moon is, too.. aside from the noon square of moon to uranus - it looks like moon is anywhere from a sextile to jupiter - positive, to a sextile to mars - over the course of the day.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Dutton below is a noon chart for peter dutton.. Peter Dutton.jpg Viewed 6550 times 80.31 KiB dutton has a more focused chart, with jupiter as opposed to mercury, as the vocational indicator, rising ahead of the sun here.. it sort of looks like a type of bucket chart, with the bowl from moon to mercury, and saturn as the handle on a bit of a sideways glance.. saturn becomes an important planet and is in a fairly close opposition to jupiter which suggests his fate and fortune swing from hi to low and depending on where these planets are in transit - it might indicate whether it is a high or a low time for him! if we take out neptune - he has sun sandwiched between mercury-jupiter - same as albanese... both planets mercury - and jupiter rule mutable signs and seem suited to a political type character which both these cats are... again - i know nothing about him.. sun in scorpio and moon in cancer is a pretty subtle and harmonius combo in itself.. he probably has gone intuition type instincts which would work well in politics.. i see the chart as more of a driven ambitious one, but these sun-moon duo would help soften it some... let me come back to this later with the may 3rd transits, to see if i can weigh in on the better transits for each or the other... okay - i took a look.. too much to go over in detail, but on balance i think the transits favour albanese a wee bit more then dutton but it seems fairly even.. the biggest challene for dutton is the saturn transit opp his natal pluto.. hard to know what t uranus opp his sun brings - could be okay, but hard to know.. there is a mars return in albanese chart as you mentioned earlier.. this feeds into the transit mars-pluto opposition that has been hanging around since this past fall for a lot of people.. i can get a clear picture of who is favoured off my read of the transits here and noon charts, lol.. oh well.. Re: Australian Federal Election 3 May 2025 6 by SadgeSun James, thank you so much for contributing. I appreciate it. Lots of food for thought in your post. Dutton was leading in the polls for quite a while leading up to when the election was called last Friday and it looked like the Albanese government might be a one term government, very unusual in Australian politics with 3 year terms, in fact not since 1931, so the govt really have to be hopeless to be kicked out. However, the polls now have the Albanese government slightly in the lead and that has occurred only in the last 6 weeks. According to political opinion it's because Dutton favours a lot of Trump style governing, sacking public servants for starters, 40K of them because that's how many Albanese's govt have employed since they have been in office. Whereas conservative governments prefer outsourcing and using consulting firms. Albanese has a degree in economics and basically has been involved in politics his whole working life. Dutton is an ex policeman. I haven't seen Alice active for a while, but maybe I'm looking in the wrong places! Once again, thank you. I will continue to see if I can find birth times for both leaders. Quote Sun Mar 30, 2025 2:04 am

Re: Australian Federal Election 3 May 2025 9 by SadgeSun I have been doing some digging and came across this post by Veronica Chlap, who is an Australian Astrologer, posted on Marjorie Orr’s website back in May 2022 when Albanese was elected as PM for his first term. “Veronica Chlap 23rd May 2022 at 11:46 pm | Reply Thanks, just letting you know that Anthony Albanese’s biography, states that he was born at night. After rectification using Jigsaw, I have a 10:15 pm birth time, but after adding his victory speech chart, 21 May, 2022, Sydney, at 11:46 pm, to Jigsaw, the birth time changes to 10.27 pm. His biography, Albanese: Telling it Straight, ch 3 Family online version.1-2 page of beginning of 3rd Chapter, his older cousin describes waiting in the car outside the hospital with her grandmother…It also states his Mother went into labour at night, which in Sydney back then could have been from 7:30 pm onwards. https://star4cast.com/new-australia-pm- ... te-change/“ Obviously, not conclusive, but it's the best source of information that I can find at this stage. Re: Australian Federal Election 3 May 2025 10 by SadgeSun The plot thickens. I did find something from Alice Portman (Australian astrologer) on the old Astrodienst forum which doesn't agree with the previous post. Alice Portman Re: Albanese Government « Reply #8 - on: 26.05.2022 at 06:25 [UT+1] » “… The actual quote is: Quote: "On the night she went into labour, her mother, Maynor, went with her to St Margaret’s Hospital and her sister Lenore – whose own marriage was wobbly and would end soon thereafter – raced from her home in Bondi, bundling her two daughters, Lenore junior and Karen Jane, into the car with her. On arrival, Maynor went down and sat in the car with the grandchildren while the elder Lenore went upstairs to be with Maryanne, hospitals then being not terribly tolerant of extraneous family. The younger of these two of Anthony’s cousins, little Karen Jane, was five. Her nanna put them both to sleep in the back seat but she kept waking up. ‘I just remember it was raining and I was thinking, “When are we going home?”’ she says. ‘My first memory of Anthony being in the world was the day he was born. ’ And in another twist, their Aunty Margaret was on a different floor in the same hospital, and would give birth to her daughter, Kim, the next day." From Albanese Telling it Straight by Karen Middleton, Chapter 3 Family.7% Kindle version. As far as I can see, nowhere does this state he was born at night, just that his mother went into labour at night. It is also possible he was born in the early hours of 2nd March, which could give Capricorn, Aquarius or Pisces rising with a Taurus Moon; Milton Black [Australian astrologer] gives a time of 5.30 am. I rather like transiting Pluto at 28 Capricorn in trine to his possible natal Moon at 28 Taurus for this period as it gives him a lot of power. I also like the Moon in Taurus trine Venus in Capricorn conjunct South Node for his enduring love of his mother. I can't see how he would love his mother so much with the Moon in Gemini square Pluto in Virgo.” So...my two cents, I think Alice makes a good point about his enduring love of his mother because he mentions her frequently in conversation. Re: Australian Federal Election 3 May 2025 11 by james_m welcome to the rectification rabbit hole, otherwise known by james as the 'wrecktification rabbit hole'.. albanese is born on the first quarter moon approx... that puts in the moon in the solar 4th house or thereabouts and indicates a possible close connection with his mom, and the roots of his identity... i have known cancer rising people to be close to their mom as well... it is all speculation and hard to get anywhere with any of it as i see it.. Re: Australian Federal Election 3 May 2025 12 by SadgeSun Australia’s Federal Election 2025. Final votes have not been announced, but early results are clear, very similar to Canada’s election at the beginning of the week, inasmuch as that the opposition party in both cases in each country was looking like a shoo-in to win at the beginning of the year, resulted in the reigning party winning. In Australia’s case, the Labor party has won quite decisively. I wonder whether Anthony Albanese, the current Prime Minister, with his Leo Mars return today, almost to the minute, is reflected in this win? And like Pierre Poilievre in Canada, the Opposition Leader, Peter Dutton, has lost his seat. Quote Sat May 03, 2025 11:37 am
