Saturn in 7th in last 2 charts

1
Hi,

The first instance happened on Friday, when I was scrolling on my phone looking at some new homes for sale on the market near me, when the question crossed my mind "I wonder what my new house is going to be like". I noted the time and quickly put out a chart.
However, I looked at the 7th house for the new house but also quickly realized that there is Saturn in the 7th, so chart may be unfit for judgment and I closed it. Also did not think much about it, as it was more of a fun exercise. The 7th house, belonging to Jupiter did give me an indication that it will be bigger, but with venus retrograde, and ruling my second, maybe brings back financial challenges. Eventually, I closed the chart.

Today, after a discussion with my boss on a promise he made to me about allocating some shares (LTI) of the company and getting a feeling that he may not follow-through with it, I felt very disappointed and put a chart out again, asking if I will get LTI this year, my eyes did go on moon being exalted, POF in 2nd house, and Jupiter on MC but again, the crowded in the 7th house with Saturn in it I was quite taken aback and I closed the chart
Does the universe not want to me to about anything at all...2 charts back to back with Saturn in 7th..quite disappointing.
Has this ever happened to anyone where Saturn in 1st/7th keeps prohibiting you from knowing ahead quite a few times?
I do remember Ouranos mentioned once that every chart is readable..should I ignore Saturn in 7th and proceed with the attempt to read?
Regards

Hello,

So, most horary readers who are also the querent tend to not view the 7th house as the house of the astrologer. There is no astrologer analyzing your chart (other than people in the forum, in which case their judgment might be taken with a grain of salt as well). You are both astrologer and querent, so your ability to make a judgment is more so 1st house (IMO).

Keep in mind that Lilly mentions retrograde 7th lords as a problem as well, and here it is you (and the boss). Retro planets are indecisive, unreliable, unpredictable, going back and forth on something. Trying to predict something unpredictable is an exercise in futility. I actually find a querent retro and/or combust ("If the Lord of the Ascendant be Combust, neither question propounded will take, or the Querent be regulated") to be one of the most problematic placements when I read a chart as an astrologer (not a querent/astrologer role).

For some reason, many astrologers obsess about Saturn in the 7th yet forget the many other Considerations:
You must also be wary, when in any question propounded you find the Cusp of the 7th house afflicted, or the Lord of that house Retrograde, or impedited, and the matter at that time not concerning the seventh house, but belonging to any other house, it’s an argument the judgement of the Astrologer will give small content, or any thing please the Querent; for the seventh house generally hath signification of the Artist.
A Retrograde Planet, or one in his first station, Significator in the Question, denotes ill in the Question, discord and much contradiction.
Here is another one ignored frequently:
The Lord of the seventh unfortunate, or in his fall, or Terms of the Infortunes, the Artist shall scarce give a solid judgement.

Thanks Tanit, for your help and inputs?
In the chart for stock options, I saw that Jupiter, the boss, is not in good shape at all. He is weak, retrograde, and debilitated. I am not surprised at all by this. These promises are being made, but nothing is being executed.
Stocks, as per my understanding, should be my second house, as they would need to vest for a minimum of 3 years for me to get anything ($) out of them.
Do u think the trine of Jupiter with POF in the 2nd house is a good indicator here?

I think the chart would be highlighting some miscommunication and possibly dishonesty from your boss, given his signification. Perhaps there is financial trouble for the company that is not transparent or something going on that they are working on before they can address your request. The Moon applies to Mars without reception from Mars. Mars is in fall in the 11th, gains from work, and lords the radical 8th of other people's resources. It's hard to ignore Mars here. The stock exchange is 2nd house but the chart seems to be directing you more so to the 11th, which is more specifically financial gains from work (2nd from the 10th). It's hard to ignore that the Moon lords the 11th as well. The Moon is always the most important thing to look at.

Perhaps there is temporary delay and the details need sorted out better. There should be reason they are retro and so debilitated. They may be under orders from someone else by being in the 7th house and the 7th lord on the MC. Sun lords the 12th exalted in the 8th sextile Jupiter in the 10th - again, I think this is highlighting things behind the scenes that you don't know about.

Keep in mind Saturn in the 7th and the 7th lord debilitated again emphasizes the forum's ability to judge this chart. What I typically find most with Saturn in the 7th is that I am missing pertinent information to make an informed reading. If I were the astrologer I would have a lot of follow up questions before deciding to give a reading or not. Ouranos is correct that all charts can be read, but it is the wise astrologer who decides what should be read. The ancients gave us advice in order to help us, not to make meaningless rules to follow. I am the last person in the world to use a rule simply because it is a rule.

Agree with you Tanit,
More so if the question asked about is ruled by Saturn.
From what I understand, Saturn has to do with timing and it might indicate that the matter hasn't developed enough to be concerned with yet. Keeping asking questions is a good start. Most of the time, astrologers will quit by seeing Saturn in the 1st or 7th depending on the question. It indicates a 'lack of confidence' or 'being shy' in reading the chart but it does not mean that the chart is not radical. I don't remember how many times I got a Saturn in the 1st House when I asked questions about myself. But I sticked to the chart and let the situation evolve until I got more information.

There was a time in history when astrologers had to be cautious about who was asking a question like 'Is this person honest or reliable?' as the authorities were questioning their craft.
Ivy Goldstein Jacobson said that with Saturn in the 7th, the chart is radical but to let yourself be guided by the bad aspects than the good ones and not to be too precise about time. After all, we are dealing with an Angular Saturn.
Which raises another rule not found in the tradition. What about Neptune in the 1st or 7th? Same caution, what you see might not be what you get.
Blessings!
