Hi there - I managed to pick up a small pamphlet published by British astrologer Percy J Harwood. It's a series of predictions based on lunations during the period March 1941 to January 1942. It is about the Second World War and the text builds toward his bold prediction that the war will end on 31st January 1942. Of course he didn't get this right, but it's an interesting read nonetheless. I hope to track some of his predictions from the lunations and see how he was working.

Whilst this is an interesting historical document, and brings to mind Lilly's work in the Civil War (although Harwood wasn't using horary), I'm also interested in Harwood's method of primary directions. He published a book called Primary Directions by the Polar Angle Method. This isn't available anywhere and if anyone has any knowledge of this it would be interesting to hear about his method.

He's another of these rather eccentric British astrologers of the mid-twentieth century that probably deserve some sort of revival.
