hi all

what time do you think an electional should be set up for on buying a house? the legalities in the country of purchase are in two phases which go something like this;

first is "exchange", which is when both parties sign the contract and become committed to the transaction, deposit is paid, and date is set for "completion".

second, several weeks later, is "completion", which is the day on which the document regarding transfer of ownership (NOT the contract)is received, and when money changes hands in return for keys - ie the day the new owner is entitled to move in.

what do you think? which should it be?

my feeling is that the electional chart needs to be set up for the event that the client resonates most strongly with, ie, a client of a legal mind-set (strong sag, capricorn, etc) would probably resonate with the time the contracts were exchanged, whereas a client of a more homely or acquisition oriented bent (strong taurus, cancer, etc) would go for the time the keys were handed over and the place was completely theirs to move in to. so i'd need to query the client as to what feels strongest for them and then decide which event to use.
