I got astrowin freeware for windows, but it is not giving me an accurate ascendant, about 13 degrees too much. Is anyone else familiar with this freeware? I got it because it does primary directions.

I've got accurate results with it. Are you sure you allowed for Summer Time? It sounds like a time zone error.
