HI Everyone

Any help that you can offer on this would be appreciated. Not a pleasant topic I grant you but I need to convince the unconvinceable. I cast this horary on 30 October 2006 at 13.51 location 52N 001W. The moon rules the 6th house and Saturn rules the ascendant - there is an application - but as it is an opposition I am not quite sure if this means a yes or no.

This is obviously something where a doctor's opinion counts first, but one of Lilly?s aphorisms is relevant to what you have here in this chart:

If the Lord of the Ascendant be in the 6th, or the Lord of the 6th in the Ascendant, it protracts the Disease, and is an argument of much affliction therein; so also doth the Square or Opposition of the Lord of the 6th to the Lord of the Ascendant. (p.284)

I would expect the Moon?s opposition to a ?heavy? planet like Saturn to reinforce this further, especially with the significators in fixed signs ? in other words this might be an old problem or one that will take some time to clear up.

In this kind of chart, an opposition from the Moon (ruler of the 6th) to Saturn (ruler of 1st) doesn?t suggest a negative answer to whatever is asked about, but shows the two in conflict, giving the kind of symbolism that suggests the body is afflicted. The 6th house ruler positioned in the 1st house of health and vitality does the same. Of course there could be another medical reason for what you suspect, but the chart seems to be descriptive because the Moon, significator of the affliction, has natural signification for medical problems caused by worms or connected to the bladder (CA. p.82).

Thank you for answering so promptly, I am very grateful to you. I took myself straight off to the Doctors this morning after reading your reply. I think I have convinced her that I am not some sort of malingerer. This time I wrote down everything that has happened since the last time I saw her (the first time I have done this and I recommend doing this to everyone) and she understood and was very sympathetic. I am now going to take the medicine she has recommended and hope upon hope it does the trick. I am now thinking of doing a horary to try and find out where this THING has come from - have you any suggestions and is it possible to do this?

I also am curious about what a threadworm is... but I remember from Barbara Watters' book many years ago that she said that Scorpio had an affinity (or ruled) the bladder: with so many planets currently in that sign, the horary certainly seems descriptive of bladder problems. However, since Scorpio is a fixed sign I would think this problem is either chronic, recurring, or one that is not easily cleared up.

Nonetheless, here's hoping the medicine does the trick.

I have made an humble attempt to cast the horary chart as per the data specified by... (cant find from where to upload the chart). The chart is cast using sidereal zodiac and the analysis is based on the theory of Sub-Sub and cuspal Interlinks developed by Mr. S.P Khullar. (www.khullarastrologyinstitute.com)

1. Genuineness of the Horary chart: Since Moon appears as the star lord of the 8th cuspal position, the house of serious sickness, it establishes the genuineness of the chart.

2. Promise & fulfillment of disease: The Sub-Sub lord of the Ascendant is Mercury who is in Jupiter star. Since jupiter is the star, sub and sub-sub of the 6th cusp, it indicates the natives proneness to disease. Mercury is in the Sub of Mars which appears in 3,5,8 and 10th cuspal positions. This indicates the disease will surface in the parts represented by these houses.

The Sub-Sub lord of the 6th cusp is jupiter who is in its own star (Vishakha) in scorpio sign and Mars Sub. This indicates the following diseases: Womb diseases,renal stone, prostrate enlargement,fibroid, menstural abnormal bleeding, urinary trouble.

The parts of the body where the disease will surface are : Lower abdomen, bladder parts, kidneys, pancreatic gland, bladder, urethra, genitals, prostrate gland etc.

The 11th cusp Sub-Sub lord is Rahu who is again in the star of jupiter and Sub of Mars. This confirms the above.

However since the Sub-Sub lord of the 6th cusp is jupiter who itself is in the Sub-Sub of Rahu, the Sub-Sub lord of the 11th cusp. The disease is curable.

The native will get relief after 15.11.2006.

The disease would have occured due to intake of contaminated food/Liquid diet.

Wow I stand back in amazement - what a diagnosis!
I am presuming by the sound of things this is done as a Prashna (is that the right word) for vedic horary. If this is so can you tell me if the medicine I am taking at the moment (I have to take another dose in a weeks time) will cure it or is another visit to the Doctors in order before this time? Oh and can you tell me when it was when I became infected just so that I can narrow it down to an outing.

Dear Dolly,

Working backward is very complex and difficult. However I have made an attempt, it looks probably you were infected on 14.10.2006 (Oct 14,2006). I have already indicated that the relief will be felt after 15.11.2006 and most likely the disease is not likely to last long. Be careful.

Thank you for your reply. I think this whole thing started back in July on the 13th to be precise. If you read Deb's answer to my question she quite rightly said that it was an old problem resurfacing - I already knew a month later (August) that I had an infestation but I was not convinced that the medication which I bought over the counter had worked because the symptoms were still being felt, hence my question on this forum.

To all other "forumers" I apologise for the unsavoury topic.

Some members on this forum had asked: What is thread worm? This is, inshort, what is written about it on page 168-169 in "The Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy"- Robert Berkow.

"Threadworm Infection: An infection caused by strongyloides stercoralis and characterized by eosinophilia and epigastric pain. The life cycle closely resembles that of the hookwom, except that the eggs hatch while still in the intestine, and larvae rather than ova are passed in the stool.

Symptoms,Signs and diagnosis.

Transient bouts of linear urticaria and erythema may accompany autoinfection. Heavy intestinal infection may cause epigastric pain and tenderness, vomitting, and diarrhea.


From this it is clear that this infection due to thread worm is intestinal and has nothing to do with bladder. But as per analysis of the chart, the infection in bladder is not ruled out and this must have surfaced on 14.10.2006. Would you mind indicating the diagnosis of your doctor. It will be an interesting case for study of medical astrology.

Well where can I begin. I went to have dinner with friends in a pub. An incident occurred with one of my friends (she had an epileptic fit) whilst we were eating the first course. The food was taken back to the kitchen and then brought back out after we had got our friend sorted. However no names were put on the plates and the meal was warmed up. I had lasagne along with others. I have no idea if the food I ate was my original or not. This was on July 13 - I became aware of having to go to the toilet more often through the day as well as leakage of urine at night. Small white thread like things appeared in my stools but not every day. I went to the Doctors who would not prescribe anything until a stool sample had been diagnosed. As with all things with me it came back clear. I was advised to take a stool sample when there was something to diagnose. However I began noticing that small globular bits were now appearing along with the thready things and thats when I decided to treat myself. But before this could kick in a large (4-5 inch thing appeared with a tail and a upside down V shape top) I swear it was out of my bladder. I took the tablets and was clear for a few weeks. Then this week I was sure I saw a white thread
thing and hence this question, and also the visit to the Doctors (she also told me to bring another stool sample in the following day which had nothing in it but was taken as instructed the results of which I have yet to hear) Apart from now having a sore bladder outlet and a bit of a tummy quiver (due to having taken that pill the other day) nothing has appeared as of today. I hope this is not TOO MUCH INFORMATION for all those squeamish people out there. I am NOT enjoying baring my soul I can assure you.
