What constitutes planetary hour agreement? 1 by Tara I'm posting this question again because it's not getting answered. Sniff. It's about what constitutes planetary hour agreement. If there is agreement between the lord of the hour and the temperamental quality of the ruler of the ASC (as opposed to the ASC itself), does this count as planetary hour agreement? For instance, if it is the Mars hour and Capricorn is rising, does the fact that Saturn is in Leo, a hot and dry sign, count as hour agreement? Another example, if it is the Mercury hour and Aquarius is rising, does the fact that both Mercury and Saturn are cold and dry count as planetary hour agreement? A third example, if it is the Moon hour and Sagittarius is rising, does the fact that Jupiter is in Scorpio, a cool and moist sign, count as hour agreement? Thanks for any help you can give me with this. Alanna Quote Sat Nov 04, 2006 9:52 pm
by Gunhilde If you go into the 'horary' section of this site you'll find a nice n' easy chart that explains all that you ask! Quote Sat Nov 04, 2006 10:17 pm
by Tara I have the chart you're referring to, archergirl. The Planetary Hour Agreement chart was given to us this summer as part of the course notes for Deb's residential course. This chart does not answer my question. The chart does not make clear if the Sign the ASC ruler is in counts in determining hour agreement. The chart lists only the ASC-Sign itself as a factor. So still hoping for an answer. Last edited by Tara on Fri Mar 02, 2007 10:00 pm, edited 1 time in total. Quote Sat Nov 04, 2006 10:41 pm
by AlexMc Hi Alanna, When you say The chart does not make clear if the Sign the ASC ruler is in counts in determining hour agreement Are you sure you are comparing to the same chart on this site that archergirl referred to? Because Deb?s chart explanation on this site is very clear. Planetary Hour Agreement Table, http://www.skyscript.co.uk/hourmatch.html The chart states three distinct hour agreement criteria The hour-ruler governs the triplicity of the ascendant-sign? The planetary hour-ruler rules the sign on the ascendant? The hour-ruler has same humoral nature as the ascendant The sign that the ascendant ruler is in does not appear on the criteria list. If it counted for hour agreement then Deb would have listed it. In addition, Deb cites Lilly, CA, p.121. Lilly also does not mention the sign the asc ruler is in. If you are using Lilly for your horary judgements then you may safely proceed to judge the hour agreement based on the chart, per the link given. Quote Sun Nov 05, 2006 1:35 am
by Tara Hi AlexMc, Yes it's the same chart and yes I see that ASC ruler's sign is not included. That was why I asked the question ... because I've been having this situation come up in charts and I wondered if the ASC ruler's sign would not count for some kind of agreement. Clutching at straws some might say, but it also seems logical to me that it would. I guess I'm just a Doubting Thomas... got to check all my hunches out. Thanks for your help. 6 by Gunhilde Ah, I see what you mean now, Alanna. I've done charts where, say, the question is a 1st/7th house question, the Asc is Aquarius, Sun hour, and L1 Saturn is in H7 Leo, which I judged to be valid; but this may or may not work with every chart in this manner, or as clearly.
