Do I need to look any further on his horary?

1
Hello All

On November 1, 2006, 9:36pm PST, Woodland, California, USA, I asked, "Is A. going to leave our relationship if he is offered a job in another city?" Asc. 20.39 Cancer, Regiomontanus, Moon hour.

Cancer Asc, the Moon is my significator, Saturn is his, there is no Ptolemaic aspect between them. Therefore, from what I've read, no aspect between significators usually means no action will occur in the matter. Do I take this as nothing will change between us? That he won't leave for a job in another city? Do I need to look any further :???:

Any comments would be much appreciated. Thanks.

There appears to be more than one Woodland CA. The ASC you mention fits the coordinates 38N41, 121W46. The question is asked during a Saturn hour. There does not appear to be a planetary hour agreement.

Lilly says: "... the Question then shall be taken for radicall, or fit to be judged, when as the lord of the hour at the time of proposing the Question, and erecting the Figure, and the Lord of the Ascendant or first house, are of one Triplicity, or be one, or of the same nature."

The question is a bit difficult because it contains two questions in one: will he get the job? and if so, will he then leave the relationship? The assumption is that he will stay in the relationship if he does not get the job. In addition, it is possible that he will want to continue but that you will decide to end a long-distance relationship. Maybe the confusing nature of the question explains why there is not a planetary hour agreement with the ruler of the ASC. With a debilitated Saturn ruling the 7th (astrologer) I will make some tentative comments.

20 Cancer 38 rises. You are ruled by the Moon.
20 Capricorn 38 on the 7th cusp gives either Saturn at 24Leo01 in the 2nd house or Almuten Mars at 6 Scorpio 28 in the 4th as your partner's ruler.
Saturn is debilitated in Leo in his 8th = your 2nd, so money could be an issue between you. Moon applies closely to quincunx Saturn. This is not a Ptolemaic aspect but it is so close that I would read it as a major stress calling for a readjustment in the relationship. Could the quincunx mean that he does not intend to leave the relationship but that the stress of keeping it going long-distance (Moon in the 9th) will be so great that it will eventually end?
Moon forms no Ptolemaic aspect with 7th Almuten Mars, which lies at 6 Scorpio 28 in the 4th. The contra-antiscion of Saturn conjoins Mars, which Lilly tells us is like Saturn opposing Mars, so the partner appears to be under a great deal of stress. Maybe he is afraid that if he takes the job, you will leave him.
It would be helpful to know whether Saturn or Mars better describes the partner. The fact that Mars occupies the radical 4th = the 10th of the 7th suggests that maybe Mars better describes the partner since he is looking for a new job (a 10th house matter). Mars is quite strong in Scorpio in his own domicile, triplicty, and face. At the same time Mars is combust the Sun and afflicted by the contrantiscion of Saturn.
In summary, there seems to be no clear indication that the relationship will either end or will continue. There is plenty of indication of a stressful situation.

Hi TonyLouis

Thank you for your reply. I actually asked the question at 9:35 and several minutes, I just rounded the time out, and according to hour ruler calculator the Saturn hour didn't start until 9:36:20pm, therefore, it is a Moon hour. You have the right chart. Lesson learned, I will put exact time from now on :bl

Yes, I realized I asked a two-folded question, but the meaning of the possible job is only that he was going to put in a resume on a job in another city, and, at the time he said that, I wasn't sure if he was really serious or not, he's Gemini :) Some time later, after I let him know that I didn't think that was fair, he said he was in no hurry, that there would be other openings :D That was said after I had already set the chart.

I saw the quincunx between the Moon and Saturn noting a possible adjustment and/or reorientation, thank you for your input on that.

Thank you also for looking further as there is some stress on his part regarding the position he now has, there is much he would like to do to improve it but he is not in a position of power to do so. Money is not an issue (Saturn) between us so possibly Mars is more descriptive of him at this time. A positive possibility has been presented to him for another job in his field, in the our town, which he is highly qualified for but he is not yet sure if he will take it, we have talked about it a lot and I can tell it is causing some stress because he really likes the job he has but also likes this new possibility as he would mostly be his own boss.

Your input was very helpful and I thank you again :D
