Which planets/signs/houses would be used for a roommate? By roommate, I mean someone with whom one has agreed to share a living space and expenses. There is no romantic relationship or friendship and the two people involved would generally be of the same gender.

I had thought about using the seventh, because there is a legal agreement involved, and the relationship could be considered a "partnership", but I am not sure about this. Suggestions would be appreciated.

You are correct with your judgment. The 7th House would be the significator in this case, especially since they are a stranger or at least in the context of their relationship to you. I dont think any Planet (besides the Lords of the Ascendant and 7th) would be useful in this case. I would also take into account the 4th House being the Lord of fixed houses and buildings. Upper rooms of course by airy Signs, especially if its an apartment. Hope that helps!
