Hi guys!

I've done a couple of lost object horaries recently that have been surprisingly (to me!) successful. But this one has me stumped. There are limited options for the answer to this question: 1. somewhere in my camper van, the exact location in the van which would ideally be pinpointed by the chart, 2. in the house, which is less likely, or 3. elsewhere with no hope of recovering it.

I know that when I went awya on holiday I put my chequebook in my handbag. I also know that a couple of days later I took it out and put it somewhere else so as to minimise the amount of unneccessary stuff I was carrying around. I suspect it is in the van somewhere. I've looked briefly through all the storage spaces but probably need to go and have a more thorough look.

19 Libra 54 rises. I'm using Regiomontanus houses.

Moon is just inside 2nd cusp at 13 Scorpio. Lord 2 is Mars at 20 Taurus, situated in the 8th house. He makes an immediate square to Neptune and is also within orb of squaring Saturn.

The Moon applies to oppose Lord 2, which I take to be a positive sign of the chequebook being found.

But where is the darn thing?? In the 8th indicates in a hidden place. Given the amount of hidden spaces in the van this doesn't help much. Near things to do with the 8th house - like toilet roll perhaps. In an earth sign - close to the ground. This indicates one of the underseat storage spaces rather than up in the roof. Close square to Neptune - near a container of liquid or alcohol?

Well, I'm off to look, again! I'm going with it being in the van for now. I can't see a way of distinguishing between house and van from this chart. Any thoughts on this or where to look in the van would be most welcome.

Hi Keren--

Due to a number of failed lost horaries at my end i will give this chart a thorough look, late at night. However, would it make sense if we say that:-

-Moon and Mars are not angular, so might be not within home.

-Mars in 8H. In possession of some one else or where waste disposable objects are placed.

-Moon last aspect was a trine with Mercury in 9H and Mercury is L9 and L11.(the manner you lost it)

-Moon is applying with an opposition to Mars--something if found, after hard labour, confrontation or contentions.

-Mars in Taurus and Capricorn on 4H. Something to do with South.

I am back and would try to ascertain where the missing item could be.

The problem is that i analysed two lost horaries and later on it proved that i was wrong. But i am a patient man. I can wait. Lost horaries are the most difficult, where we required to give the exact location. Maybe unless and until i practise with personal items lost, i might not be doing much. Which takes me to my project of earnestly staged lost horaries, but about this later on.

It is better to be stumped by 3 feet than by 3 inches. Working on that premises, i would embark upon my ambitious analysis.

-The angles are Cardinal. Perfect for lost horaries where action is required.

-POF is in aquarius in 4H in human sign and is disposed by detrimented Saturn in 10H. More about POF later on.

-The Moon is unfortunate. She is in via combusta. She is diposed by detrimented and peregrine Mars and is in aspect with him with an opposition.


The significators are important in this horary. In my cousin case (failed horary) L2 was in 8H and the item was picked up by a distant relative who was reluctant to return and we had to use coercive tactics. In Pete case (lost bracelet) the item was picked up by a friend and was later on returned. There was a difference between two horaries. In my cousin case, the moon was applying with an opposition to L1 and in Pete case L2 was applying to Ascendant and to POF in ascendant with an easy aspect i.e Trine.

Your case is some what similar. L2 is in 8H. Which suggests that item fell, or is in keeping with some other person or is at a place which is supposed to be the waste disposal area etc.

In your case, there is one positive indication for recovery. Moon in her fall is in applying opposition to detrimented Mars. There is a positive mutual reception but well. As Tom says. Two drunkards helping each other home.

You gave us three options.

-Home
-Van or
-World at large.

Let me say that i can not do any thing about third option. So, i will try to see first two.

L2 is in 8H and Moon is in 2H. Might suggest that the item is not home or the recovery is *bit* difficult.

Which brings me to Van.

Unfortunately I am not aware how does Camper Van looks like from the inside and secondly it defies directions of North, South etc.

I am wondering why a cheque book is represented by a detrimented Mars. Tyipically Jupiter governs bank books. Anyway, there is an evidence of controlled energy in this chart which might suggest Internal Combustion Engine.

Moon is Socrpio in Via combusta. Scorpio is a sign of passive but well directed energy.

Mars is in detriment which also supports above.

POF of this horary is in 4H. I have a question. Do you own Camper Van? Or is it owned by your parents.

POF is in 4H and a Sun at MC and in his own house and triplicity is burning him with an opposition.

AS Deb suggests that she has found many lost objects on the basis of last aspect which Moon made.

Moon separates with a Trine (an act deliberate on your part) from Mercury (papers, communications) which is in 9H (foreign travels, legal element). Mercury is also L9. So, have you made a search among papers or documents kept in the Van?

Mars in Taurus, Pof in Aquarius and Saturn (dispositor of PoF) all are in fixed sign which might suggest that if the item is in Van, it is on floor. It does suggest of a Van as per page CA p.352

If the Lord of the 4th be found in fixed sign, the goods are in the earth or in a house having no chamber.

Can we say that Camper Van is a house with no chambers.

So, my suggestion is that it is on floor, close to some papers and exposed to heat.

The 8th house is also dark green, I believe. Is there anything in the van that is dark green? I've had a lot of luck using the colours associated with signs/houses.

I did a horary about an as-yet-unseen sofa I was thinking of purchasing; the significator (Moon) was in its own house, the 8th (as appropriate for a seller's possession) and I figured the colours were white (Moon) and dark green (8th), although I thought it might be a green and white patterned sofa; turned out the room the sofa was in was pure white (white walls, white tile), and the sofa itself was very dark green! I was incredulous (but pleased. I still didn't buy it as it was covered with cat-hair).

Otherwise, since the significator for your chequebook is in Taurus, look for somewhere with Taurean colours (don't have them to hand, but you'll know what I mean ) or even Mars colours.

Gryffindor, the van was bought by my mother, but I legally own it and currently have sole use of it. Interesting you should pick this up. Also currently I'm at my father's house. Could the POF being in the 4th indicate the chequebook is in my father's house?

I still haven't found it. Will be going on another trip tomorrow. Starting to think maybe the position in the 8th in a fixed sign means someone else has picked it up and is keeping hold of it. I may ring the bank and cancel the chequebook just to be on the safe side.

Possibly the applying opposition of the Moon cannot produce a "found" result because the Moon and Lord 2 are severely detrimented with no essential dignity. As Gryffindor described, "two drunkards"!!

Keren you should definitely ring the bank and cancel the cheque book. I haven?t been able to look at this chart yet, but from what you describe there is enough contact with malefics to cause concern. I?m tied up this week but I?ll try to look at the chart more closely next week. I know it?s inconvenient to cancel a cheque book, but this chart doesn't sound good so if there is any risk to you, err of the side of safety.

Last Moon's separate aspect was with Me at 10can22 in 9 house. Me is natural ruler of books so I suppose your cheque book is in van (Me) in the kitchen or cooking areas, near water of any kind(Can). Look near books, newspapers, letters(Me) or documents in connection with law or church. (9house)

Was this whilst you were on holiday? Because the Moon's separation from Mercury in the 9th house can describe the cheque book being lost away from home (or your usual territory).

Gunhilde, thanks for reminding me! I had meant to post an update.

I DID find it - at the very bottom of a red box of clothes from the van (the box was lined with newspaper - another clue I overlooked!), last week. But by that time of course I had already cancelled it and ordered a new one (Moon applying to opposition?).

I think the fixed signs are a clue that it would take some time for me to find it. Also that I had previously looked in all the boxes, twice, but was still too "blind" (Moon debilitated) to see it!!

Yes, I was on holiday when I lost it...

So we have it being lost while travelling away from home (Moon separates from trine to Mercury), on some newspaper (Mercury), in a red box (L2 is Mars), in storage (8th house), underneath clothes (L2 in Taurus), and taking a long time to find (Moon in fall applies to oppose L2 in fixed signs).

Hotatio - at the end of your post you say "exposed to heat". The box is kept in the roof storage space above the cab - it gets very hot in there when the sun is out! I don't know how you came to this conclusion but you are completely right. Unfortunately when I was looking all I could think of was the cooker, and there isn't any storage near it!
